Mainly because no other music media has mentioned it, I feel I should bring to light the disgusting move by Paul McCartney to play a concert in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Just what the hell is he thinking? He’s probably the single most respected musician alive on the planet, with a huge amount of influence on, not just musicians and music fans, but on a celebrity obsessed society in general, yet he sees no problem in proposing an idea just as sordid and disrespectful as Queen playing South Africa at the height of apartheid or Morrissey’s want to perform in an Iran where public stonings of women are still commonplace.

Powerful artists such as these mentioned are one of the few groups of people who can influence a wide section of the population’s way of thinking, and McCartney choosing to promote such a unashamedly intolerant, self-pitying, war-mongering, Bush loving government as Israel’s is incredulous: read more here

In just a few short minutes Senator Hillary Clinton will take the floor at the Democratic National Convention talking to US viewing audience as to why we should vote & support Barrack Obama, for President of the United States.
We know she will give an eloquent, powerful speech as she does that will un doubly "knock one outta the park!"~ She will attempt to convince her supporters old & young to stand by the Democrats, no matter what, and vote for someone you donot believe in however subliminal it will be..
I'm already NOT convinced and looking forward to what Lady Hillary has to say.. I cannot be swayed and I am not a disgruntled supporter,.. I have my own vision !

OK, heavy sigh I just have to say it, and alot of Hillary supporters know this.. or perhaps know this and not voicing their opinions because they feel they have NO voice, don't be scuured! We cannot be manipulated to support, Barrack Obama, if we do not believe in him? Would you support someone you did not believe in? Forget the Democratic party! You have a choice ..

Hillary, has received the short end of the stick in the primaries, from the DNC to the media's spin, a love affair, with a candidate that is- very good talk, but what action and subsance? I think this election has been biased towards the male gender and the good Ol boy network, what's new in this country?
Barrack would have been smart if he had chosen Hillary as his running mate but chose not too, Hillary has passion and cares for the people and issues of this country...Mr. Obama could have clinched this election!

Now, Obama wants Hillary's balls to the wall support, too fight for him to become the next President? I am NOT feeling that.. Barrack Obama wants Hillary to be his cheerleader..... but could not be her's in return?.. laughable.~

I believe that Hillary's supporters should stand firm and and "write her name in" as the President you want to lead as Commander & Cheif- when it comes to election time, and you go to vote at the polls..
18 million strong cannot be wrong, than who will be stunned? I'm just disgusted with the Democratic party and their puppeteering of Hillary C.~ Geez more later~

Barack Obama is something else isn't he?

Listening to his speech at the Democratic convention tonight you see what an eloquent, powerful speaker he is .OK...m Obama is likeable.... I know all brothers have a gift for gab.. you know it's true, just like a fat man who loves to eat cake! He almost sounds like a preacher to me.
At times he made me laff during his speech........

All Americans want change - yeah, than why not give back to the middle class and those of us that make less than those in the middle- giving us a 3rd of our pay checks back so we will be able to pay rent, afford our bills and high gas prices .. Especially those of us in the west, To save, to afford the American dream. (if this is still possible?)

Taking care of the people of this country instead of providing support for everyone else in need..This is what I've had enough of Mr, Obama! This is when and only when, I will believe what Barrack Obama is promising America, not only in words.... but in deed... for change.
Making life in America an even playing field from those that have and have not..This is when America will be a great place to live again for all of us. what do you think?

HA! it was just announced John McCain just picked his Vice President running mate Alaska Gov...Sarah Palin (sp) a woman!~ let the games begin, wise move on McCain's part but will this prove to be a gamble?.. no way, no how am I conservative in any shape form or fashion and donot relate to woman of that calibur, too narrow minded. Will this VP nom.. perk the ears of the Clinton supporters still on the fence?.....

I see the Huffington post even has this news posted on their blog which is a great blog for info on almost anything.. well almost.
Why would Macca want to play in a country that is not safe? There is just too much unrest in the middle East, without some religious fanatic trying to make a political statement, with the biggest living legend playing in a Holy country. I'd rather have Paul and the band safe than sorry .. that just creeps me out. Once again Paul please don't do it, play in countries where you will be safe!thoughrs anyone?.........~more later

Tickets for Paul McCartney?s performance at Hayarkon Park on September 25th went on sale at midnight Tuesday night.
Tickets can be ordered either via telephone a *8584 or on the Web site www.leaan.co.il
According to the producers, the first 200 buyers will receive a special price of NIS 400 per ticket.
The regular price for the general admission tickets will be NIS 490. A special reserved seating VIP section next to the stage will cost NIS 1,500 per ticket.
According to the producers, the internet sales site can handle up to 1,000 hits per minute. But as of a few minutes past midnight, the site was inaccessible.
The hours that the telephone ordering number is open are Sunday-Thursday from 9 am to 10 pm, Friday from 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday from noon until 10 pm.

Yes it is Paul's block I've been there dropped off a lil post card for Paul at his gate (seen at end of vid) I'm actually at a loss for words.. my initial reaction-see the video below. a definite must replay~ha!

Trying to find Paul is like ..Where's Waldo? some stories commin in just seem to not make sense so If I heard or read something exciting I'll tell you..

So there were rumours yesterday that Paul stopped in Springfield Ill. I wouldn't have believed it until I saw Paul posing in a foto with a group of locals, almost James Dean like, lol now how cool is that? Ohh man there in nothing like a road trip, especially when you are on your way to see Paul McCartney & Ringo from parts unknown...

It worked out for Don Dunavin, the owner of the Record Rack used CD and record store in Amarillo, Tx. Dunavin was hanging around a convenience store off of Route 66 on Wednesday evening when he heard that

We hung out at the hotel for about 30 minutes," Dunavin said Friday from the Record Rack. "I was holding Jude and he walked right in front of us near the entrance of the hotel. I took two steps forward and shook his hand. He immediately went to Jude, grabbed his hand and started talking to him. He didn't even know his name."So Dunavin, 44, asked Sir Paul to guess his boy's name.

After we told him he was Jude, he said, 'I got something for him'," Dunavin recalled. McCartney reached into his pocket and pulled out a miniature harmonica. He bent down and started playing for Jude. "Not anything in particular," Dunavin continued. "Jude was smiling at him. I told my wife to get the camera out and take a picture and he immediately quit. He said, 'Please, no pictures.' He wouldn't do any autographs. But then he started playing some more. It all took no longer than a couple of minutes. He had no security and he was traveling in an '89 Ford Bronco."

Of course the Dunavins are Beatles fans. "After we saw that movie 'Across the Universe' Lori fell in love with the main character Jude," he said. "That's what finally made her decide on that name." Their son is named Jude Alexander. My nephew is Jude Aron, although I would call him Jude Rascal.

This was Dunavin's biggest celebrity encounter over the 22 years that he has owned the Record Rack, 3409 S. Georgia, about three miles off of Route 66. "We had Black Oak Arkansas come in once," he said. "Omar and the Howlers have been in here." Now Dunavin is a celebrity himself. And don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool/by making his world a little colder....

Now what a story this is, wow Paul wouldn't sign an autograph for them,, or a picture? I would have cried had it been me!~ lol

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to listen to Paul McCartney's new song My Soul. I'm not sure what I think of the song yet as I only listened to it 3 times. Paul's vocals seem to waiver just a bit at the beginning of the song, a bit worriesome. This does not remind me of the Firemen tracks, as I have been reading by others. perhaps it's just me and my ears? lol it doesn't seem like Paul at all, but it's his voice-smile. I'll have to ask Liz~

New Beatles Monopoly is here

Now is this coool or what it's about time Monopoly came out with a Beatles game.

"Monopoly: The Beatles Collectors Edition" provides Beatlemaniacs and music fans the opportunity to create their own private anthology of music by collecting Beatles albums including Abbey Road, Rubber Soul and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.


The features include a game board that features all the albums recorded by The Beatles from Please, Please Me to Let It Be, familiar, traditional Monopoly game play, collectible pewter iconic tokens symbolizing cherished Beatles songs and a 60 minute speed play option.

The game is licensed by Apple Studios and is the first board game licensed by the Beatles brand. According to the press release, it allows players to "recall their most favorite Beatles tunes for a musical Monopoly experience." The game, for 2-6 players, can be played by ages 8 and up.

The objective is to create a private music anthology by collecting Beatles albums. The box top and the game board center both have an iconic black and white photo of the Fab Four. Properties are Beatle albums and points of interest, listed in chronological order of release date.

People in our entrance gate waiting area crowd were very young and totally belligerent hooligans, shouting up at anything and anyone. It was really funny for they kept on drinking from hard liquor flasks all night long and smoking pot from little darling pipes very openly all the time. , but this mostly Canadian crowd was a really unruly rough bunch and they scared out a lot of people in our group and around. (hb. the fans where that wild huh?)
That was a rough crowd, but the five of us in our group that made it to the front row, and the four of our group that made it to the second row right behind of us proved to be tougher! (hb.So you managed to get to the front of 250,000 people? Damnnn!! lol)

Sir Paul was Superb! The 31 hours we patiently waited by the front row gates were totally worth it! We got squeezed, shoved, pushed, stepped on, yelled at, elbowed, got rained-on Saturday, got sleepless and cold through the night, and then got sun burnt and over heated the next day, but still we held our places even though extremely hungry and dehydrated, and survived!

Our feet really took a beating and hurt either standing or sitting for days, but all the pains and aches were forgotten once Sir Paul hit that stage. We were in Heaven for the duration of his show! Of course we only do this for Sir Paul, and now we have a great adventure we'll be laughing at for the rest of our lives. Viva Sir Paul forever! (hb. yeah Paul rawks and we lOVE HIM!)
Yes, The medium sized Quebec Jacket Sir Paul wore for a few songs during the concert was from a boutique at Le Fontenac hotel and it const $49.95 Canadian dollars. I know because I bought me one! Also, it was blue and not gray as some reports say. (Dang I like that jacket El lol)
And the picture with the Hotel Le Fontenac was like a dreamy castle. That's where Sir Paul and all the band stayed at and it was truly lovely! His view must have been incredible. I'm very happy Nancy was there sharing that lovely place ....
