This Tour
On man! this tour brings so many memories. I was able to see 8 amazing gigs. I attended both San Jose shows in the 5th row both nights..The 2nd night I was a mess during "The Long & Winding Road Nellie & Swaying Daisy squeezed my hand, said Paul was looking at me ..Brian singled at the end, they would be back for an encore, during the end..I nodded. During Sgt, Pepper reprieve,
*
Macca signaled to me with a flip of his wrist, to send up my sign !!! when the sign reached Paul he flipped it over-real cool like-than signed the front it's (on the side there on my sidebar!) He Signed PAUL~ across The side! also Swaying Daisy's album, that I had placed up top! I got that sign back and was in shock! Paul McCartney had just signed my sign!! than a few days later, Swaying Daisy and I were off to Vegas ( I have a piccie of me sitting in front in San Jose, but hey I'm not foto-genic)

Vegas was kinda a bad scene. The First night I was on the floor all the way to the back. The second night off the floor too the right, where I had an extra ticket-and no one to buy it or offer it too. Still, glad that I got to see Paul & The band. I lost $500 bucks gambling and Daisy and I couldn't find a decent place to eat on Thanksgiving...Daisy flew home a day later than I was off to LA to The Standard-near The Staples center..

We arrived in a limo where security at Staples harassed me for my sign~and took it until the gig was over.... FIGURES~Two concerts in LA Staples Center 1st night in the 2nd row in front of Paul and the 2nd night Nelley R. and I didn't have the best seats in the house. ha! We were in the far right row on the floor near Jack Nicholson. .. We couldn't see the concert well, why? Cuz this girl was holding up a huge "it's my birthday" sign Nelley R. and I were bummed! Shortly after Heather Mills, noticed us, came up to us and said:

"Here, this is from Paul he wanted you to have these!" Heather gave us each one of Paul's guitar picks~

Nelly kept diggin in her purse, she asked heather to sign her purse ha! but Heather turned her down. We thanked Heather & shook her hand!~ It was cool to see Gene Simmons in the 5th row, there at Staples.

Next it was off to Sacramento Arco Arena- we waited for Paul in back for hours but had fun! When Paul finally arrived it was, past dusk= he was running late. I said "where are you Paul?" said Paul "Im here I'm right here" as he drove slowly past us...

I was in the aisle, in the 10th row with my "she's not the brightest of buttons" poster, which Paul said to me-"and I'm reading yours now" during the gig, (those of us that bug, Paul, with our signs that we carry to the gigs)....All in All the tour was magnificent! Brilliant beyond words..( I do have a piccie of us waiting for Paul in back but promised not to post it~)

Some of the Highlights-Too Many People/Polythene Pam. I've got a Feeling. Helter Skelter. English Tea..Get Back. Fixing a Hole. Long & winding Road. Eleanor Rigby. Please Please me!
So C'mon people I'm waiting for your concert re-views ~

Note: post subject to updates
It's almost New Years here in California much Peace & Prosperity to you in the in coming New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Must read article: Twisting the words of Paul McCartney the author gives it straight

Must read article: Twisting the words of Paul McCartney the Author gives it straight
Jonathan Power
11:55pm Thursday late

An excellent article written by the man who interviewed Paul McCartney. The interview was in turn, published in Britain's "Prospect magazine" I haven't read the Prospect article myself however, I did catch a snippet about 'Paul was the more political Beatles not John Lennon'. and posted it in my other blog, I disagreed. Mr Power is correct, quotes, are all over the place. Read below the authors, passionate stance, in correct news reporting, and publishing of news articles. The author sets the record straight-nice. Pay attention news agency's I'd be hot too..hb

Paul McCartney is big news
Whatever Paul McCartney says or does is news, sometimes big news. In September, when he went to give a concert in Israel - making up for the Beatles concert that the Israeli government forbad at the last moment, 43 years ago - he was slashed at by some pro-Palestinian critics for "singing to the enemy".
No matter the "enemy" audience was perhaps 20 percent Arab, that he also used his trip to visit the West Bank not only to see Jesus' birth place but to call in on Edward Said's music school. When he sang he also in his trademark low- key, non-preachy, way pointed his audience in the direction of compromise and healing. One of the prices of the fame he has is to see his honest words and honest thoughts twisted almost out of recognition.

I saw this happen close up last week when my long conversation with McCartney was published in Britain's leading intellectual monthly, Prospect magazine. It was if the press has a mindset about the McCartney-John Lennon relationship that demands that anything he says be squeezed into some previous mold, and if doesn't quite fit then an extra shove is made so that the verbal tentacles are distorted beyond recognition as they are pressed down.

After banner headlines over the misleading story in British newspapers, led by the big circulation, Rupert Murdoch paper, the Sunday Times, the wire service, Associated Press, carried the story around the world, where it was printed in literally hundreds of papers. One report, one identical story, the world is covered with misleading information by editors too uncaring or unmotivated or just plain lazy to make a call to Prospect to ask for the original wording. Not one journalist called me.

"The fact is the interview carries not a word of rivalry with John Lennon. Neither about which Beatle discovered the Vietnam War first, (the main themes of the Sunday Times/AP story). Nor about the allusions the story made to McCartney's (mythical) claim, at Lennon's expense, to have written the best of the Beatles' tunes."

The interview runs to about 5000 words - double that in its uncut form. The discussion on the Vietnam War is perhaps a dozen lines of that. The mention of John Lennon is once - when Paul describes how he returned from a conversation with Bertrand Russell to tell the other three what he had heard from the old philosopher about the evils of the war in Vietnam.

The original interview, the beginning of the Revolution
My interview with Paul originated in the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys over 50 years ago. We were classmates. We played cricket together and I witnessed the first Beatles' concert when he and George Harrison (in the year behind us) played for our class on the last day of school. We yelled like groupies! We have stayed in touch.

I wrote to Paul in May to send him the column I wrote on the newspaper hype about the 40th anniversary of the student rebellion in Paris. I wrote that the "revolution" did not begin in 1968. It began in 1955 when an old black lady, Rosa Parks, in Montgomery, Alabama, sat down in a bus on a seat reserved for white people. She was arrested and out of the shadows stepped a young preacher, Martin Luther King. The rest is history. King's driven nonviolent campaigns resulted in the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Millions of blacks were liberated and enfranchised. The long road out of oppression led to the election of Barack Obama.
What a real revolution that has been! Along the way in 1961 came the Beatles, a liberating force for millions of young people. Also in Britain in the same year Amnesty International was founded - a milestone in the rise of human rights consciousness. To start contemporary history in 1968 is a fatuous mistake.

Paul agreed we talk about this and we decided we would meet and go over our lives and discuss what had affected us though our lifetime and what had tuned us both in at school to fight racism and war. We met twice, once for two hours and once for an hour and talked - about school, the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, right through to the Russian invasion of Georgia. On the way we talked about literature and the impact of FR Leavis, the great Cambridge Shakespearian scholar, on the writing of Eleanor Rigby, and Paul's feelings on the likelihood that his songs will still be sung in 500 years' time.

Paul is a self-effacing, wise, intelligent man. He may grab the spotlight on the stage. But he has no need to twist history. And neither should the press when reporting on him.

Nice article, correction Brilliant article Mr. Power- what a friend you are too Macca, hats off to ya... I have to say myself, this was a a gutsy article..straight talk.... c'mon he calls a spade a spade good for him. Wouldn't you be pissed if someone butchered your words or article?

Announcement please support this blog & vote for me in "I need a new design contest!"

a lil bit off topic post here. Today, I stumbled onto a site (thanx Jpearce) for bloggers, who are in desperate need of a new web design: the worst of the worst. I gave a vote too the person who asked for one, than entered into the contest myself.

The winner to receive a complete, spankin, bright & shiny brand new webby design! Cool huh?

You see, I must be one of the most technically challenged people on the net. A friend had helped me set-up my blog. After a year & a half of blogging I have learned a bit, however, I do not not know a thing about, web design and all that techie stuff..( it's freakin difficult) it actually pisses me off..lol
for example the social bookmarking widget you see above each post took me 10 hrs. alone just to implement. (dang, that was a lotta work) posting video's took 2 days, Once successful I would pat myself on the back. I'm asking you, the people that do visit my cool lil blog, if you would do me the honor & vote for me! I will beg if I have too. I'll even plead-pretty please.

I have an announcement posted up on top you can either click on the link there or that yellow-green widget located on the top left' that says "Vote Now" once there, you need to scroll down just a bit, and vote for me-that's all it takes!

You do not need to register. I have 11 votes so far from bloggers via Blog Catalog and I am grateful to them. The thing is this, the current leader has over 1000 votes, yes, you read that right, 1000 votes! I for one don't know 1000 people but, I do know many people do come to read this blog or see what crap I'm posting about~

Check this, I was their, at that webby, and some who have entered, well, their blogs are great, wonderful design why did they even enter the contest?. I hope the judges pay attention and base some of the votes on real design need.

Please vote for this blog!
You can always backspace and come back if you like or not. Please HELP me to secure some votes people for a Spankin new blog design. I'd love a 3 column blog something fresh & new kinda old school British...I have a vision. So once again I will post about this until I win. Will you HELP me please and VOTE here. I can't bribe ya with money.... cuz I haven't any....lol
more later hb~
I DO APPRECIATE EVERYONE WHO VISIT 'S MY BLOGS-TRULY!

Now, how bout some Beatles

What did you expect? muhahahahahaha

Fans Meeting Macca at HMV London! (Lucky Bastiffs)

Fans Meeting Macca today at HMV London! (lucky bastiffs)
Dec 21st-Daytime
Fans meeting Paul below: plus just added Vid,

There is not a day that I don't speak about Paul McCartney and The Beatles, especially at work. People ask me daily "whats new with Paul McCartney?" "when is he going on tour?" or ask some type of Beatles trivia..I am, by no means...any sort of Beatles expert, just a huge FAN who loves them Beatles and everything about em, period. I have never had the pleasure of meeting Paul McCartney myself-whatta drag! ( however I have had vivid dreams meeting Paul, me and my matey Sarah F.)
I have came so close in past years tho.. (once when Paul nearly ran over my foot in Liverpool) I pray on the day-God willing- if there is the slightest chance I might meet Macca, also. Well today many fans had their wishes and dreams fulfilled meeting Paul McCartney for the first time at the HMV store on London's Oxford Street for an album signing of The Firemans latest:
Electric Arguments

No Heart for Peter no Merry Christmas for Paul oops!
I think I scared the scruffy get standing cause outside afterwards they turned around the car so that he would avoid getting near me the psycho in a suit. Well, I looked at the weatherforecast last night and saw it was mild, it was always my intention to wear a tie, nice slacks shirt and jumper, but being that it was so mild (forecasted), and remembering that at Virgin two years he turned up in a suit and tie, (foto Courtesy Reuters)

I thought bollocks the man has been an important part of my growing up ( or as far as any man grows up) the least I can do is make an effort and wear a suit, plus I got it drycleaned after Liverpool I might as well wear it again.

Well I was number three in the queue ie 7.50ish pm on Wednesday night, only went coz I couldn't the stand the thought of nutter scots lass queuing up all night on the wicked, debauched streets of London, and i will never forgive you DC for not giving me the cash to go into Stringfellows. But mad manch lady wanted to see me cry along with Neeta so they pushed me in front of her to number two.

Once, we got into the store (HMV) they were of course playing the EA but I was before Tuesday getting it for Christmas and had only heard the three tracks played on the radio broadcastr with the standin for O'leary. And as it was the only present ( I normally buy th releases on the date of release) I want to heard it totally on Christmas day. It was surprisingly easy to block it out coz of the chatter of the nervous nutters around me , some on thsi board have met me in real life and will probably find it hard to believe that when i am nervous really nervous I go very quiet or at least on the scale of Peter.
Plus I was doing me mantra "Do Not Say " I Love you , Paul in a non gay way" and "Do Not Say Mary is Beautiful" thought the imaging of Mr McCartney sitting on the bog was slightly disconcerting to say the least.

DC went up first and she can tell you what she said and what he replied if she wishes to do, she is at the moment on a train back north. I was getting pushed ( gently and saying yes go on to me ) to move her along. So I went upto the desk and handed him the cd and said "Thank you Mr McCartney" why I dont know he only said "Hello" and smiled whilst reaching out his hand. He was looking straight at me and I said " Thank you for the 45 and half years of pleasure", he looked I suppose quizingly at me as i only look 33 and 6/3 ( shutit DC). I then said "And thank you for being a decent hero. A boy (or man or lad "i can't quite recall") growing up needs his hero to be a decent man or bloke" some of you may know that I normally only use the phrase "half decent man"
but I guess i got carried away. I think or maybe i am imaging it that his voice slightly softened from before when he said "thank you very much" it was definitely thank you very but I was getting embarrassed and wanted to leg it. I can't recall if I had already got the cd in my hand but I remember my eyes suddenly came into focus that he had proferred his hand and I was thinking " ******* Hell he wants to shake hands with you". I know I know his manners are verging on the impeccable but for some reason I had got it into my head that I wouldn't be shaking hands with him.

'His handshake was warm and friendly or was it my hand that was warm?'
', none of this macho power handshake crap. (hb: lmao) When your working class in Britain that crushing of the hand gets a headbutt. Macho men aint real men, real men care and protect their women. I am sure he has his folibles but Mr McCartney is too my mind a real man.

I basically tried to run away then and he wished me a " Merry or Happy Christmas", I had totally forgot about Christmas and I think I said "oh, andyou too" or something similar. So I am afriad that I might have appeared rude or something.

I have never been anywhere near his homes, though i got calls from a Wirral Police officer a couple of times wheni lived in Liverpool, when he was just in town on family and personal stuff, never gone to his farm, known idiots who have, never gone to Abbey Road as it is too near his home, keep temptation away, as I consider it rude. But have always hoped to bump into him on the street to just thank him for the music. Why the hell did i say "thank you for the pleasure" sounds more like a reference for the stud farm. How many years have I thought of what I would say when people ask you what you would say if you actually met him, though my normal outloud response has always been a jokey one. And when i get the chance although brief I bugger it up.

Two things stopped me joining the UDA in the mid 70's, me mum ( good mersey lass) and the Beatles message, I was in my mid teens. The train fares are the rest of this year's crissie present. But not the 50 fags a day i have been smoking since Tuesday lunchtime when the mad scot got a hold of me.

Now however inadequately I feel that I expressed my admiration and graditude to Mr McCartney, really should be "your Grace, the Duke of Speke has a nice ring too it and could easily be a chain of pubs, with the onset of the depression I am sure just a half a million quid could get a dukedom".
I shall not be going to any of these events or meetings, though there are at least 10 people I would love to have a siggie from him, a couple of relations but mostly friends that the music of the Beatles has made happen ( awful this sentence I know but I am quite honestly buggered) from differnet nationalities and cultures and age groups and some but not all that I was lucky in the last year ( just over ) to actually meet in person.

So, Harley mad manch lady and neeta will hate you coz by your question, you have achieved the result that they wished to see but didnt get to.

My item was signed just:
" cheers joe bloggs" with no heart, why NOT!!! Though I regret not asking him to write LFC Rules OK
from Peter, Somewhere's in England..

*
HB:
Well, I for one am soooo Happy for Peter meeting Macca, finally. He isn't the sort to stand in lines! I also know he is estatic meeting his hero..right on Peter I'd be awfully happy too!!.
*
I Still Can't believe I met Paul McCartney!!!!!!
I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE I MET SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome!! He is awesome--so kind and nice and sociable...
He listened to all I had to say (like EA and MAF are fantastic, your music is immortal, you are awesome, and wish you a merry xmas ), wrote down his autograph (no dedication as the first thing I uttered was my name, and it didn't come out very well... )
^
but he made a funny drawing beside the signature as well as a heart at the bottom. He was pleased I loved MAF and EA, and shook my hand twice, when I got to him and when I left.

Everything was perfectly organised. I had a great time
(for 10 mins, after he arrived, all I could say was OMG!). When he came out, I was waiting for him with others, and he was so nice, said hi to everyone, and wished us all a merry xmas and happy new year. He was in great shape and mood.
^
The man rocks!! I didn't think he'd be so nice. Apart from the sales issue, I am sure he does meet people because he likes to--you can see it in his eyes, he loves to listen to you and even slows down the signing while you're talking, to let you finish. He never pushes you away, he loves to talk.

SIR IS DEFINITELY AWESOME
From Trystan aka Sarah, Italy
*
HB:
Woohoo Sarah you lucky Duck, you met Sir Paul McCartney! how effin awesome for you! I'm happy for you guys--were ya nervous? lol

I feel very lucky I can't stop staring at my autograph!!!
My experience was a bit weird. I didn't get a wristband but thought I would go down there to see what the queue was like - remembering what it was like at Virgin in November 2006. But to my surprise there were only about 5 people outside the store and they didn't seem to be aware that the wristbands were available from Thursday.
^
Was there a big queue of people at any time since the release of the wristbands? I could see people inside but no queue of hopefuls like last time. The only thing those people mentioned was that they had seen some press guys go around the back. So I went round to the back door and saw a member of HMV staff looking out, so I asked if they had any wristbands left.
^
The guy went to check and came back with one and took me straight into the store! I had a yellow band so had to wait a while but I finally got to speak to him.

I asked him to sign my 'home is where the heart is' poster from King's Dock in 2003
and he said 'wow' when he recognised it. I told him how great the show was and also Anfield this year and when he asked I told him that I live in Liverpool. And he shook my hand! He does have very soft hands - he obviously doesn't do too much hard labour! He has 'people' for that! But he was very gracious and very human (if you know what I mean) - not the out-of-reach megastar attitude that some stars have. I feel very lucky and can't stop staring at the autograph!

"He does have very soft hands"
estrella de mar, Liverpool

hb: I'm so happy for you, meeting Paul. I was in Liverpool 03 also, and asked at the end of the gig if I could have one of those bitty signs also. the "home is where the heart is" Liverpool was one of the best concerts ever I'm so grateful I got to attend!
^

Their latest album Electric Arguments is an eclectic and varied album consisting of thirteen tracks recorded in thirteen days over the period of nearly a year. Each track was written and recorded in the space of one day.
The Fireman went into the studio with no plan or clear direction of how they wanted the album to sound. The project took a life of its own and the results will surprise anyone expecting to hear the previous sound of the band.

Paul will visit HMV's flagship store to sign copies of The Fireman's new album
'Electric Arguments', which was released last month to much critical acclaim, and is being re-issued this week with exclusive new artwork.

WHERE: HMV 150 Oxford Street, London W1
WHEN: 10am - 11am, Sunday 21st December 2008 * wristband access only - see below

Coldplays Violet Hill inspired by The Beatles

Coldplays Violet Hill inspired by The Beatles
from GigWise

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has revealed that the band's recent single 'Violet Hill' was inspired by the Beatles.
The singer said the song was named after a road in London that joins Abbey Road - a street which has now become synonymous with The Beatles

"'Violet Hill' is a street and it joins Abbey Road - so it's kind of a Beatles reference,” Martin told the BBC.
The singer added he didn't think he had revealed the songs inspiration “in public” before.

Violet Hill-Coldplay

OK, so If Violet Hill was inspired by the Beatles, than, why didn't Coldplay, film a vid around London's Abbey Road, Violet Hill; and other London spots? It could have been brilliant, actually it would have been brilliant.

(come to think of it I'm not recalling any videos filmed around Abbey Road?)

Coldplay could have kept their military garb as seen in video. (liked that bit) Great song tho, however this vid is slightly weak for me..I was expecting something else from Coldplay, when I first watched..comments?

Take note this is the way to sell, market and promote products, freakin Adidas genius!
note: re-edit watch these 4 vids if you haven't seen or heard them yet semi long post ha!

A couple weeks ago while on the computer is when I first heard a lil ditty on television that caught my ears and my eyes. I'm not the type to be influenced by telly commercials to buy products. But when I heard this and watched the commercial, I said to myself, now.. this is the way to sell a product!
what a rawkin, lil down commercial, the beats get you... hooked! Adidas is a marketing genius on this commercial- It's one of the best advertisements ever to hit television, This does make ya wanna run out, and buy adidas doesn't?..commercial below ..you'll see what I'm talkin about..

adidas Originals House party-commercial

Featuring below:
David Beckam,Katy Perry, Estelle, Young Jeezy, the Ting Tings, DMC-Daryl McDaniels, Method Man, Redman, Afra, Ryukyudisko, Russell Simmons, Missy E...

When I heard and watched, I said,' this sounds vaguely familiar but what is it?' the beat sounds familiar as does the music and vocals... it kinda sounds like.......Franki Vali? nah, it couldn't be? ( more on Franki Vali later) After investigating on YouTube, I was right, trip! Mixing old school 60's vibe with urban street is freakin genius, along with an all star cast..at one party
(we'd all like to be at)- make this Adidas campaign, On hit, a marketing success!

But what about the re-mix's?

. Frankie Valli &The Four Seasons - Beggin' (Pilooski re-edit re-mix)

OK, so this is Pilooski's re-mix version for the Adidas commercial in it's entirety. Dang! does anyone remember this, (the song I mean!) I was like WTF?!!! I haven't heard this since I was a young kid way young, lol. I don't remember it being played much on the radio? After hearing this I said, damn Franki Vali and the Four Seasons, most people don't remember them except us who were born in the 60's or 70's I bet. Everyone under 30 will get hooked on the vibe and the Four Seasons will have a whole new cult following. What musical memories..Pilooski you did good man, the hook is insane, mad down beats- repeat!

well this following vid of Beggin is the re-edit of the Pilooski remix-I know, but it's a must watch video of creative genuis at work ... I had posted this strange video by Cyriak months ago.. you'll know what I'm talkin about just by the name,.... mentioned above...see Cyriak's take on Beggin brilliant!

Beggin-re-edit cyriak.co.uk

A slightly different take as you can see. Paul McCartney needs to commision this guy for his vids! lol excellant vid, great work and editing...more below....

But what about the Originals Franki Valli and the Four Seasons?

The Original Beggin-Franki Valli &; The Four Seasons

Man Franki Valli and the Four Seaons had a cool sound didn't they? a Great lil band from the 60's with a R&B vibe... Such songs as Sherry to Big girls don't cry, My eyes adore you, Can't take my eyes off of you & Grease to name a few. I bet any of these 3 vids posted above will go viral. Now companies need to do this same 'promotional vibe' with McCartney and Beatles music, since they are soo heavily loved and fresh today, as in 1964.

Music industry, wanna sell records>please take note, wanna set the world on fire?.. Bring back the 60's 70's vibe across all genres new and old. Look at the craze and commotion the Adidas commercial has caused with mix of new and old advertising?.. people feel it, it makes you happy and stirs emotion. I tell you, this is what the music industry needs, artists please take note:

If you Love and Feel that old school 60's 70's vibe, bring it back, make the music, Records will sell, hard, dang, I have been saying this for years wishing this style and type of music would make it's return a few artists have already started, namely, Amy Whinehouse, however more should follow suit. Take it from a music lover I have an ear for music.. hehehehe..

I also wanted to create this post for others that have not heard or seen these vids around the world, to feel what I'm feelin and with correct promotion and advertising you can sell' almost anything'. This Adidas commercial strikes the spirit..deep with a smile..The best commercial to ever hit television....get your pencils and paper out.... Oh, and that reminds me to buy them shoes, it got me.. ...lol .....Job well done Adidas---Sheer Genuis!.
I'm tailights

The Fireman didn't Rip off Blue's Mans Song

^

If you like this post Stumble or Digg it!
The Fireman didn't Rip off Blues mans song

C'mon,..now an interesting lil ditty, about "Light from your Light House" off the recent
Electric Arguments album..is said to be taken from Blues legend 'Blind man Willie's'
'Let your light Shine on me' (follow me now) I said last week........

'Light from your Light House' from The Fireman kinda reminded me of Midnight Special-done by Credence Clear Water Revival... not sure where it's origin came from?
Somewhere in the deep south of prison chain gangs...Midnight Special also reminiscent of "Let your light Shine on me" by Blind Man Willie- still following? Quote from NME.

"It's true that The Fireman used the Blind Willie Johnson track as inspiration for our own song," they said. "His is a traditional song and this is not the first time an artist has made their own version using such a traditional song."

Exactly Fireman!!!
How many 'other artist's' have been inspired by BLUES music coming from the deep south? This is where Rockin-Roll originated from, The Blues-duh! If today's artist's are inspired from such soulful songs sung (long ago, perhaps heard by great-grand-parents) by legendary blues men, in their strife?
than let them pay homage, as long as the Blues originator is credited for their inspiration, in creating said songs in question? I think it an honor to be remembered..and inspired.. from the architect/ founders of music... I fondly think of Robert Johnson when I write this posty. So don't get all up-tight by rumours, that 'Light from your Light House' was ripped off from a Blues Legend.

Best Albums of ’08: The Fireman – Electric Arguments Examiner
triple re-edit!

I was soo tired and lazy to post this. this evening after my Grammy post, so I thought I'd wait until Friday straight up noon were it will suddenly appear! hehehe It's about time someone a music dude ( won't call him a critic) has actually got something, right.

I did say this past week that critic's can 'kick Rocks' if they didn't dig this album. music writer Hunter G says-
The Fireman's Electric Arguments is one of the BEST albums of 2008. Hey. I ain't gonna argue. he is right. This is the Fireman's best albums in years.

According to Hunter Gorinson of The San Francisco Examiner his best since Venus & Mars. I take it Hunter doesn't like Macca's solo work! hehehe anyhow a snippet/review of
Electric Arguments:

" Looks like Paul McCartney has finally decided put the down the patchouli and show the kids how it's done. After years of lackluster solo releases that bored the hell out of anyone born after 1985 (get it?!) and selling records through Starbucks, McCartney went back to his roots and spewed forth a true blue rock record – Electric Arguments – while masquerading under the name, The Fireman."

(For the record-Starbucks-SUX!!) and Macca's solo work hasn't been lackluster? Why ya gotta lie-Craig? heheheheh

Fans new and old need to support this new album.. Electric Arguments and buy it! talk about it, tell your friends..this is a brilliant freakin album..on so many levels and not just that, it gets better with each play. I kid you not there is so much going on with EA I really cannot put it into words at this time..
Let's get this album going people so it gets a Grammy nomination this upcoming year-it's that good! Macca has righteous dues coming with this experimental album, get the word out and support Paul McCartney and Youth- Hopefully more music critic's will take notice too..
San Francisco Examiner read more here

The Fireman- Universal Here, Everlasting Now

The Fireman haven't released an Official Video for this, rawkin lil ditty, this is the only one that I can find online at the time.. A HUGE favorite from Electric Arguments I cannot wait for my Deluxe version I had bought via the Fireman webby-to include the 7 track cd re-mix and alternative versions, with other goodies to be included in the Deluxe package...This would be a great album to remix.
Like I said before. let's light a Fire and get the word out about this supereb album. I'm on a mission to promote The Fireman's latest album, but they, the Fireman, donot know it, this is how much I love Paul McCartney and support his latest efforts, will you join me?-smiles!

Kanye West Throws a Pity Party

^

Kanye West Throws a Pity Party

Slate mags take on Kanye West, Glad I'm not the only one who feels Kanye West is arrogant.

What is it about Kanye West's self-love that annoys people so deeply? No other rapper is taken to task as frequently and as fervently for crimes of the ego. Even West's fans, on message boards and in comments sections, This is hard to figure.
Complaining about a rapper's outsized ego is a bit like complaining about a professional bicyclist's outsized calves or a clown's outsized pants: They're part of the job description.

Part of the answer lies, it seems, in one of West's most human-scale traits: the way he'll undercut his arrogance with evidence of the self-doubts gnawing beneath. When Lil' Wayne calls himself the best rapper alive or T.I. anoints himself, simply, king, they are imperious about it. When West argues for his greatness, he often does so with a needy whine: ranting onstage and off at awards shows about perceived snubs; using his blog to attack an Entertainment Weekly reviewer who gave West's recent tour a mere B+ rating.

Great article from Slate!
Man, I thought this article was so great I sent it to Digg and Stumbled it!
No celebrity or artist has ever left me speechles or as pissed off, as Sarah Palin or Kanye West. Below is part of my comment on Slate.com
There is nothing wrong believing you are the Greatest, we can laugh at artists not taking themselves so seriously, perhaps they are humble- is the key word? but this guy is so arrogant and rude, not only in print, but to the press. I don't get it.

If Kanye West is trying to get a rise like the Beatles did with John Lennon's
"we're bigger than Jesus" claim, than West has missed the mark...John Lennon was kidding but as you know, some didn't see it as a joke, than the Beatle ban begun.
note:
see posts or older posts on West's claim he wants to be bigger than the Beatles and IS bigger than Elvis~
