lmao at myself...I cannot find my post on Macca rumoured to play at this years Coachella? I swear I posted it last week?... Dang, did I delete it by mistake? Wow, what a brain freeze, Anyways, yes its true. This IS the ticket of the year people!
Paul McCartney will be headlining this year, along with The Killers and The Cure.. This should be one huge party. I hope I can go, even if for one day If I can find a ride! They have a huge lineup, besides Paul, I would love to see the Ting Tings, Amy Winehouse, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand. Ive never been..... What a huge GIG this will be...Will you be there?!?!

Oh yeah!! Paul McCartney and Radiohead to play The Grammy's!
you know... I must post my two cents!!! Hey Grammys, where is my ticket? Back in December I wrote a post about the Grammy nominations my rants & ravs and pics, how I felt, they were, 'kinda faulty'. Let's be real, most music award shows- are lame. The same people win these things over & over again-heavy yawn...
As a music lover & watcher of these music awards, you wish, these shows would pull off something fresh & hot like BET's music awards.. as posted earlier this month. C'mon people, the Grammy's are suppose to be the highest honor an artist can receive, The best of the best.-Make the show exciting & fresh to the viewers & artists in attendance, damn already.

I tell myself, every year, I am not going to watch any more 'music award shows' why? Cuz I believe they are fixed with publicity and pushing album sales. Base these high honors on musical ability and real artistic talent, not who has the most 'paper' to push all the hype or
'In pocket'.. Not Once, on the west coast have I heard Paul McCartney's latest Fireman album on the airwaves?.. Real talk.

While at lunch today, I checked my email, and low & behold I read via Billboard mag, Paul McCartney AND Radiohead are to perform at this years Grammy's? Say whaa? Woohooo!!!
I had to reread this twice, just to make sure, I read that correctly. Whew, I hope Macca isn't snubbed this year and wins an award for his Grammy wining performance's at Amoeba Records-in Hollywood. We remember when,Paul, performed Vanilla Sky for best original song in 02 than walked away with ...NO Grammy...
I also think it Fantastic! Radiohead is going to perform at this years Grammy's too. Doesn't Radiohead, despise the Grammy's? lol I'm in awe they will be there.- I can't wait to see their performance as well as Macca. They better win too.. dangit!

I don't know if Adele will be a performer at this years Grammy's? she outta be. I think she deserves a Grammy with that lil ditty 'Chasing Pavements' it's so damn catchy, I love her vocals & soulful passion. This girl can sing! Just like Amy Winehouse last year with all her Grammy nods, which was well deserved-.this girl can belt em out also. Now, take Talyor Swift, this girl cannot sing live, as I heard her blow it in two recent live performances. I hope she is not a contender for a Grammy, Are you kidding me?
Yeah Lil Wayne, will win a bunch of Grammy's..why? and Kanye West, (that's a given) than talk about how he is' the Greatest' like Ali..please no..lol Why not Ludacris he has mad rappinig skills with talent., TI, Tpain, Lil John? Oh, am I gettin carried away? you get the point. I won't rant to much longer. I'm not a broken record who's lost it's groove. ha~

I donot wanna go thru the entire list again who I think who will win & who should win..see link above if interested..

Tighten up Grammy's, forget album sales .give us something solid, Musical Genius and Talent. Give the deserving what they deserve. A Grammy~

Ok, well... who among us would have predicted a few years ago that we would elect a young man of color, with the middle name Hussein, to be president of the United States of America???
I am stunned and I feel open and optimistic in a way that I haven't in so many years. It almost felt like this tangled, dark winter of our young [by comparison] country might never end. I am humbled and moved as I catch up on the incoming administration on my TiVo contraption.
Some news of my upcoming album
I have been busy writing and recording some new music and it feels and sounds pretty good. I just did 2 days back at Eldorado here in LA, where I cut most of my tracks for my first CD, Mondo Magneto. Again, the idea was to play live with great players, laughing and working together to get exciting arrangements down, hot and fresh.
So far, I am playing with Davey Faragher and Pete Thomas, from Elvis Costello's band. Other tracks feature Aaron Sterling and Paul Bushnell and a great keyboard player from the Black Crows, Adam MacDougal. There will be other surprises as well and I'm starting to get excited about this.
I want you all to be involved!!
In the coming months I will announce some ideas and ask for your ideas on my release. I want you all to be involved in this project, just as we all need to be involved in this broken world's renewal.
I heard something life-affirming from a dear friend today... he said, "There is an opening that is permeating the collective consciousness today" [T.K.].. so let's all get with it and get on with it!!

Yeah, I can't believe it-It's all good. It is soo, surreal. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way? Dang, I hope MSNBC or CNN show This history making Inauguration -again, in it's entirety, for those of US millions of Americans- who missed it!~ Why? We had to work!!
I wonder if Paul McCartney watched?- seriously more on Obama tomorrow...

Well after thinkin about this a few days I still haven't gotten my thoughts together regarding our new President Barack Obama. I know this tho, I feel hope for this country. I'm thinkin Barack Obama will be one of those Presidents "For the People" Now when is the last time we had a President for the people, and not about, big Government? I believe the economy will fall harder... before it gets better. So, we need to give our new Prezzie a "Chance"
Last night even Jay Leno was playfully jokin around about Barack Obama..his Monologue was on hit. I loved the lil skit of Barack Obama in The White House bowling alley! that was too freakin funny! Cannot find it on YouTube at this time.. Even the comedians are light hearted about Bama, gives ya that warm fuzzy feelin..This is what the country needs something that brings us together..I'm feelin it.. He is just a man not the messiah or God..
Obama has Lil Wayne on his Blackberry
Oh and I heard this lil snippet last night on the telly from Obama himself. His good friend/ lil-brother Reggie, how he downloaded Lil Wayne-onto his Ipod-or Blackberry? would that be the clean or explicit versions- Mr. President? lmao!
Barack Obama feels like what the Beatles were to the 60's with all the mania surrounding him...I like that! you know it's true!

But, you gave him a signed Hofner? that bothers me~ man, does he follow you like we do? does he pay $1000's of bucks to see you in concert, buy all your music? is he more important than your fans? is he more loyal than your legions of fans? Being a celeb has it's priveledges...

I know Howard Stern is fond of Paul McCartney. He frequently mentioned him on the Howard Stern show (before those lamo's decided to cancel his TV show a few years back).. Now on Siruis XM radio Howard was at it again- interviewing Macca, again this past Wednesday via Sirius XM radio-Jan 14th~ ha!
For those not familiar with Mr. Howard, he is a "Shock Jock" and I must admit, hella funny. Some might find him crude and X-rated, which is true! However, Howard Stern, is brutally honest a great interviewer., He pulls no punches and gets to those questions that no one dares to ask?~ Howard is brilliant. Rumour is circulating that Paul McCartney will be a guest on The View this week on ABC. If so this will be a huge surprise for people that have tickets in advance. I'd be in shock! I've just checked and Barbara Walters annouced this morning, Paul McCartney will indeed be on The View- not only that but performing as well!
Check your local listings for The View on ABC. I hope your segment is huge Paul. I'll be at work~dang! Hoping whoopie will ask him cool questions!

Freakin Lame ass music awards
note: this post has caused me hours of searching time. ha!
Two weeks ago, or there abouts, I happened to catch the World Music Awards 2008. In a nutshell, it was Lame..
The highlights Beyonce, Anastasia-(wow it's been years since I've seen her) Estelle-man that is a catchy lil tune now isn't? always great to see Ringo. Than the guy from Russia who looked like a wigged out Liberace..what the? entertaining if anything I was going to post the link but I'll pass..I laughed my ass off..Madcon's Beggin was pretty good-sorry tho- I have seen better versions..
To make matters worse, Kid Rock was given World's Best Pop Male Artist - World's Best Pop Rock Male Artist awards. UM, say what? Bullchips! I swear these awards are rigged. Kate Ryan from Belgium? cool song high energy techno- had the crappiest dancers you have ever seen in your life.. truly embarrassing not kidding. Take a clue all- music award shows, you could aspire to be as wicked cool &; hot as the BET awards 2008-

I happened to catch this on the BET channel last sunday and what? this rawked!~ Dunno why I hadn't seen it before, but if you have the chance, watch it. It's a must watch show-alright than? OK, Now, this is what an award show should be like! Ne-Yo gave a great performance and hey, he can dance. he's got lottsa- style a showman.
I must say, there where two more performances that stood out in my mind a week later. T-Pain &; Crew Ludca, Flo Rida', Big Boi and more. This reminded me of Macca's opening Pre-show in 04 Hip-Hop gansta style, well see for yourself below. The video is kinda rough. Than out comes Al Green a tribute of sorts at first.

Correction the Rev. Al Green. He had em all going in the audiance. My mouth dropped, as he began into Love & Happiness-um what? Love & Happiness, is in my siggy line in all my emails, hehehehe. I have never seen Al Green, live, anywhere..not even on tv. I stood up, with a big ol smile on my face, clapped at the TV when he finished. Love me some Al Green and Ludacris too...ah!

And if by some miracle I was hoping, hoping Kanye West, wouldn't step on stage as the camera kept paning in his direction. He than made the freakin comment (on stage) when someone else was accepting an award (not him)-best video, I think it was? ' "I am the King right now'' the King of Rap"... I said out loud 'Oh brother' No Kanye, there is only one King, that is Elvis-get it straight, get it right-Kanye ' "If ya can't Get right? Get Left!". That dude makes me shudder! Why can't he just- get lost?!?
I can also hope the Grammy's aren't freakin white washed in bleach and Lame as the World Music awards were. The Execs of the show need to watch The BET AWARDS SHOW plain & simple.

A side note: Rolling Stone, didn't even bother to give Electric Arguments, a top 50 spot of 2008's top albums of the year per them. What's up with that? Instead, they choose the likes of the Jonas Bros? & Taylor Swift?....like I said, What the? The list sux in my opinion...
Whatever happened to the greatness and edge of Rolling Stone magazine? me thinks they need to get back to cutting edge music. OK.. R-E-A-L music & articles-than, slash all that wasted crap advertising space, which takes up, entire pages.. (very annoying) Forget the pop culture stuff..Leave that, to other mags.. Rolling Stone is suppose to be the Holy Grail, of all music magazines... this is what I think when I say" Rolling Stone" C'mon guys, get back to your hip roots and greatness..

Now, Michael could "do the right thing" now and give Paul the catalog back this very moment, not wait until he dies, leaving it than to Paul in his will- forget that. If Michael Jackson is truly serious and sincere with his statements, than he would ring Paul up, and offer Paul McCartney's music back too him, right away- period.
I wonder if Paul would actually speak to Michael again after all these years? I couldn't see Paul saying " Yeah Michael, thanx its all good, I don't mind ya ripping me off- we're square now! "

Yeah, so you may ask yourself where in "The World" was Paul McCartney for his New Year celebrations? Paul was kickin it with Nancy, in Cancun Mexico. That's right..Cancun..
Man , that musta surprised all the guests that came into contact with Paul. " I wish I had been there! Damn"~ .from Mike below....
Paul arrived in Cancún, Mexico Dec 31 to recive New Year in the Riviera Maya-
along wth girlfriend Nancy- Recibe Paul McCartney el 2009 en Cancún
El ex Beatle Paul McCartney recibió el Año Nuevo en esta zona del Caribe mexicano, donde llegó justo a tiempo para despedir el 2008. El cantautor británico arribó la tarde de ayer a la terminal aérea de este balneario, de donde, en medio de un dispositivo de seguridad, fue conducido a un punto no precisado.
