Hello, all you Paul McCartney & Beatles fans, have I got news for you!!-hehehe!
Last night, I received an interesting email from a Representative of A&E home video. (cool beans)
A&E, has just recently created their own site, on
Face book, with monthly giveaways to Face book members. (cool again)
This month, A&E has a sweepstakes-contest for
Paul McCartney's "The Space Within Us" DVD.
One lucky winner will win a copy of :
"The Space Within Us" from A&E. How cool it that!
A&E also gave us Paul McCartney in Red Square, DVD Wasn't that brilliant!?! I don not have Red Square DVD myself, but watched it on the A&E channel. It was, spectacular!

This Tour
On man! this tour brings so many memories. I was able to see 8 amazing gigs. I attended both San Jose shows in the 5th row both nights..The 2nd night I was a mess during "The Long & Winding Road Nellie & Swaying Daisy squeezed my hand, said Paul was looking at me ..Brian singled at the end, they would be back for an encore, during the end..I nodded. During Sgt, Pepper reprieve,

Macca signaled to me with a flip of his wrist, to send up my sign !!! when the sign reached Paul he flipped it over-real cool like-than signed the front it's (on the side there on my sidebar!) He Signed PAUL~ across The side! also Swaying Daisy's album, that I had placed up top! I got that sign back and was in shock! Paul McCartney had just signed my sign!! than a few days later, Swaying Daisy and I were off to Vegas ( I have a piccie of me sitting in front in San Jose, but hey I'm not foto-genic)
Vegas was kinda a bad scene. The First night I was on the floor all the way to the back. The second night off the floor too the right, where I had an extra ticket-and no one to buy it or offer it too. Still, glad that I got to see Paul & The band. I lost $500 bucks gambling and Daisy and I couldn't find a decent place to eat on Thanksgiving...Daisy flew home a day later than I was off to LA to The Standard-near The Staples center..
We arrived in a limo where security at Staples harassed me for my sign~and took it until the gig was over.... FIGURES~Two concerts in LA Staples Center 1st night in the 2nd row in front of Paul and the 2nd night Nelley R. and I didn't have the best seats in the house. ha! We were in the far right row on the floor near Jack Nicholson. .. We couldn't see the concert well, why? Cuz this girl was holding up a huge "it's my birthday" sign Nelley R. and I were bummed! Shortly after Heather Mills, noticed us, came up to us and said:
"Here, this is from Paul he wanted you to have these!" Heather gave us each one of Paul's guitar picks~
Nelly kept diggin in her purse, she asked heather to sign her purse ha! but Heather turned her down. We thanked Heather & shook her hand!~ It was cool to see Gene Simmons in the 5th row, there at Staples.
Next it was off to Sacramento Arco Arena- we waited for Paul in back for hours but had fun! When Paul finally arrived it was, past dusk= he was running late. I said "where are you Paul?" said Paul "Im here I'm right here" as he drove slowly past us...
I was in the aisle, in the 10th row with my "she's not the brightest of buttons" poster, which Paul said to me-"and I'm reading yours now" during the gig, (those of us that bug, Paul, with our signs that we carry to the gigs)....All in All the tour was magnificent! Brilliant beyond words..( I do have a piccie of us waiting for Paul in back but promised not to post it~)

I never saw Paul or the Beatles live, but I remember the night they were on the Ed Sullivan Show way back when I was a kid. It was like nothing I had ever seen. The fans were going crazy. Usually, the audience was very laid back and quiet. That night, it seemed the entire audience was screaming teen age girls. I became a fan instantly.
My favorite Beatles song is Rocky Raccoon, but Sir Paul's Yesterday moves me and the Mrs to near tears. I did see the original Beatlemania at the old Wintergarden Theater in NYC around 1980, and it was awesome. It was like having seen the Beatles in person (almost)
Mrs. wanted to add that she has been hot for Sir Paul since she first saw him.

I've seen Paul McCartney live three times in my life: in Rome 2003, Detroit 2005, and
Liverpool 2008.
The one I remember most dearly for personal reasons is certainly the Liverpool concert.
First of all, I won two tickets for it through the Internet, and my mom decided to join
me in this adventure. I'd never been to Liverpool myself. After taking the cab tour in the
morning and seeing all the Beatles places -- as I'd hoped to do ever since I was a kid -- I
reached Anfield Stadium with my head full of all the legends and stories connected with
their life in Liverpool.
We queued in the pouring rain outside the stadium from noon to 5pm, when they
finally let us in. My mom was getting very annoyed, as it was rainy and cold, and she was
new to all this "groupie" things. But she totally changed her mind as soon as Sir Paul hit
the stage. As for me, I couldn't believe I was there in Liverpool, to see Paul in concert in
his own city.
When he started off with Hippy Hippy Shake my heart missed a beat--I love that song
and love to see him cherish his r'n'r roots; I love the way in which he has fun playing
those classics, the way in which it all began. Some details I don't remember--but I do
remember the feeling I had of something magic. When he played Penny Lane and
Eleanor Rigby I listened to them with a different attitude for the first time in my life: I'd
seen those places that very morning, now they were somewhat physical locations I could
think of and connect with the song, as he may have done while writing the songs. It was
special.
Everyone was celebrating Paul's homecoming, as one would do among close friends.
Yoko Ono was in the audience as well as his children, who could be seen singing along
from behind the scenes. Paul was clearly very moved by the situation, and extremely
happy. It was a once-in-a-lifetime reunion bending and suspending space and time for a
couple of hours.
Mom and I kept talking about it for months.

How many times have I seen Paul McCartney, lets see, the first time was when he was playing in a band called THE BEATLES!!!! Oh what a night, I will never foreget it. IT was Aug 21st, 1966 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and I had just turned 13 2 months earlier. It was rainning and everyone kept looking up because we were told The Beatles would be brought in by a helicopter. It seemed endless waiting for the other band to finish, after all, who really cared about them anyway, all we wanted was The Beatles right!!! Well, it stopped rainning and the next thing, they walked onto the field and then the scream started! I screamed so much I was hoarse for a week. There was agirl who was kind enough to share her binoculars and I saw Paul sing "Yesterday" and it was so vivid. You could of heard a pin drop when he sang that song. The next time I saw Paul was in 93 at Busch Stadium again only this time it was super foggy and he was with Linda! Along with new band members. That was a fun time because I was interviewed on TV twice. I made a psychedelic sign that read "St. Louis (heart) Paul & Linda McCartney. I don't know if he saw it though. Then I saw Paul in Chicago in 2002. We met up with a few friends we made from our Beatle trip to England. Our seat were in row 20 and again I took sign that read "Paul I saw you play at Busch Stadium 1966 with John, George, & Ringo". I waited until the right time & held it up....YES! This time he saw it for sure and gave the thumbs up, I was so thrilled it made my night! At the end of the concert Paul came out and someone threw a drum font up to him that had The Beatles on it. Paul caught it and one handed caught a sharpie to autograph it then tossed it back. I remember saying to my husband, I wish I could get a front row and get an autograph. Everyone was cheering and I think he might have signed something else that night but I'm not for sure. Anyway the last time I saw Paul was in St. Louis 2002 at the Savvis Center. I worked really hard and got front row seats off to Paul's left. I went prepared with all my signs. I won't bore you with what I put on all of them except for the first one read "Paul thank you 4 coming back to St. Louis." The concert went great and he gave me thumbs up for each sign. At the end I held up a collage drawing I did and to make a long story short he not only gave me the thumbs up several times he came over and motioned to me to hand it up and he autographed it for me. Everything was in slow motion to me my friend Veneta said you should of seen the look on your face and I was like you should of felt the look on my face. The only bad thing was we could not have a camera and what a Kodac moment and no camera. Anyway I now have the picture framed along with a Paul McCartney Fun Club ticket and my other concert tickets including my Beatle ticket from 1966 and its hanging on me wall. Nice blog - I also won tickets to see Paul 7/17/09 at Citifield NY - The tickets were floor 21st row. I didn't bring a sign because I wouldn't be rude to the people behind me but I wish I did - I would've just wrote an apology on the back. Great stories. I also saw him in 1993? w/ Linda Giants Stadium. My 2 friends and I drove 2 hours with no tickets and wrote "we need 3 let it be" on a blow up walrus - it worked :)The seats weren't together though I was by myself. I was the only one up dancing in my whole section in 1993-No Lie; and at Citifield there wasn't 1 person sitting even in the rain (very different shows). I'm sure I'll see him again. I couldn't get enough I was high for a month I started calling him McCrack. Rumor or fact (not sure) but he'll be doing a retirement tour next year 2010 I'm getting the baby sitter and will be at any show I can when that happens. Peace to all.
