 2-12-12 Concert For Hurricane Sandy- Charity Relief

.. Hey people,. it's been weeks and months since I posted on my blog- close to a year now.  Such a difficult year for many, myself included. I know I have to complete the Liverpool gig from last year..and  I will . As you know; the east coast was hit by the devastating Sandy affecting millions of people especially those hardest hit  in New York, New Jersey & Connecticut tri-state area.. Someone had the brilliant idea to hold a  relief gig for those affected..Small whispers began to appear on the net & Facebook a few weeks ago and now has become a reality.. What a great gig to attend if one could get tix,.right?

The Concert For Sandy Relief to Benefit The Robinhood Relief  Fund


100% of the proceeds of the 12-12-12 gig at Madison Square Garden in NY, on Dec 12th  will go to those  affected by Hurricane Sandy. What appeared to be a local event has now exploded into a world-wide event to be broadcasted all over the world.. Wow! 12-12-12 gig will be televised in the North & South America,
Europe, Africa, Asia & Australia...


I  Wanna Go How do I get tix!!

When I heard about the up coming gig  I said to myself,. I had to go..Paul McCartney,  was to perform,  I had to find a way. The chances of getting tickets were very slim to none..This is such a huge event that tickets would be in huge demand.. I started out my quest yesterday. I woke up at 5am west cost time.. and got ready for the Chase pre-sale at 9am. for me that was 6am  Coffee made; I logged onto Madison Square Garden link.. 6am sharp I started out for tix ..sold out!  what? I tried a few more times- nothing.  I quickly went to Ticketmaster and frantically started my search.. just than my cell rang- it was a friend from the east coast. who, I wanted to get a ticket for -also..Telling me to call TM. I was sure Ticketfast did not have the pre-sale option..
So while searching.. I phoned TM.. not available...10 mins into the sale I found a ticket! Yeah!  It took 2 plus hours to find 3 single tickets.  According to the New York Times.. only 13,500 were made available  for the entire gig.. One of the organizers was quoted as saying ' don't buy tickets from secondary sites'..I know a few Paul McCartney fans who did get tickets via Stub- hub.. I feel very fortunate to have scored tix.  Fans were rather pissed off they could not access either the Chase pre-sale or the general public sale.. blocks of tix were made available on Stub- hub.. made me feel bad that the average person was locked out to such a stellar gig raising money for a great cause...

Wasn't 12-12-12 the Best gig ever?!

A Few short days until Macca' kicks off Up Coming Tour

Hey people. Woohoo, just a few more days until, Macca's brand spanking new - Up & Coming Tour.. Now, who, has tix to Arizona & The Hollywood Bowl? I'll be at the Hollywood Bowl. The Terraces seem so far away for the amount of a ticket at $390.00 would be nice to be closer. But wait!! Why is Ticketmaster offering front row tix at - watch this now, $2000.00 a pop? Us fans already got burned on this pre-sale with no tickets available. Now, they wanna lock us out of the front row packages too? $2000 bucks is alot for a front ticket, dinner, and sound check. Damn already, why are they, ( The Promoters ) charging so much? Please, don't tell me it's the location- Hollywood ~Bullchips!

Ticketmaster has claimed in the past "the Artist's" have control of ticket prices. Yeah ok, tickets are so much cheaper in Europe..
If I was going to meet Paul, it wouldn't hurt so badly.. Just another example for the haves & have nots'.
Most of the diehard fans, always travel.. more dollars to shell out etc..

Truly, I think it's a bunch of crap for charging and gouging fans of music- for sky high ticket prices & package deals. AGAIN! seem to get higher & higher every year. It also appears to be greed $$ to me, for that all mighty dollar, attempting to take advantage of people- is pure crap. This really pisses me off. In years past, other packages - for music fans included, hotels & other perks for a decent price, a bit on the high side- semi affordable but do-able Give us a break geez~ I always go round and round about this now don't I~ Lucky for those of you who saw the Beatles for $2.50 -$ 5.00 all those years ago..

whew, I just pulled off a quick one trying to upgrade one of my tickets for the Hollywood Bowl..Still have the one ticket for the 30th in the Terraces-

I shall be enjoying some cool beverages at that location and taking notes for my blog. Do we need binoculars or what? On the 31st I scored me a POOL ticket expensive but not as much as some brokers wanted. damn!

hassle upgrading Paul McCartney tickets

I ordered the ticket last night. They call me, early morning, EST. leaving a message stating 'something is wrong with my credit card'- huh? yeah, I'm on the fone ASAP. I get on the fone and they wanted me to send them a copy of my drivers license & credit card. Hell no. I'm not doing that- what? Stub - Hub doesn't ask for these details I tell them. I don't have access to a scanner, printer etc at the MO. After much debate they cancel my order than attempted to complete the order for a second time. Success! Your ticket shall be arriving Tuesday. Um, what do you mean Tuesday? Can you not send my ticket today, since I paid the $15.00 express payment, Oh, we don't send tickets out today they told me.

So we will be sending the ticket to your residence..the lil voice, said over the fone

Great, how are people to get their tickets so close to the concert date? Well, you can provide us with another postal address. This was starting to become a WTF moment. Well, I said, let me call the hotel directly and see if the ticket can be shipped to their location. You'll have to email us with an updated delivery address said the girl on the fone..Heavy Sigh.

Look, I said, emails can be lost. Let me call the hotel -than call you back, OK?. Called the Hotel and they had no problem with a package being delivered. Called the Ticket broker back. It took another 20 minutes to get thru. This time around- the girl was much more co-operative. I still had to send an email to her- confirming the address of the hotel, verbally, over the phone, wasn't acceptable... Do you ever get a 'bit stressed' making arrangements to see Macca & Co? :)

Hey people, how are you, this fine day? Here we are, two days out from the McCartney pre-sale for Glendale & The Hollywood Bowl, making this- one of the worst, pre sales- ever! How in the heck do you call this a pre sale - when the fans cannot even get 1st crack at great seats or even decent seats for that matter? What a joke. I'm so tired of the McCartney fans getting the shaft -if you know what I mean?
People claim, supply & demand, Oh bullchips- tell me, how is it that broker sites have 1000's of pre- sale tickets while fans are left empty handed? these prices are ridiculous as always.

The top spot for Macca & The fella's is $350 for a regular high level ticket at the Hollywood Bowl, while Glendale AZ is $250 ..
Let's look at the economy. The fans get jipped & we end up "robbing Peter to pay Paul". we ain't got $1000's & $1000's to throw down to see Macca, every time, even tho many have in the past...If a pre sale is a pre sale - let's make sure it's just that, a pre sale, not to be open for the entire public & American Express card holders who have some extra pocket change to throw away, ya feel me?

Doesn't Paul, want his fans at these gigs or is he tiring of seeing those of us that follow him. Just a silient theory in my head..Nah, Paul loves his fans but it does make one wonder? Surely the artist- in this case Paul McCartney, could have some say on the pre-sale of his gigs and making sure his dedicated, loyal followers, who LOVE him so- have the 1st oppertunity to buy the BEST seats, if they so choose..~ The fans are a worthy cause :)

Here we are, hours later, after today's sale to the general public. Paul McCartney, tickets did not, go on sale at 10am as stated.. it was minutes after... Ticketmaster, had a glitch- in their system so they claimed- today..

No tix @ $350 price at all.. couldn't find a one

no tickets at all for about 15 mins.. I happened to get Terrace tickets-for $ 390- isn't this about mid section of the bow?l.. mighty steep. I wonder if it's just the venue as to why the ticket prices are higher than usual?

There were NO packages available..period... why is that?

The pre sale was a disaster...

Hopefully, the fans, will get another chance at 1st crack tickets~ for UP Coming gigs...
we can only hope...

I just read on Moby's blog, He thinks Paul & Ringo WILL be playing together! Kinda like a Beatles reunion he said..wow!

Oh man wouldn't you know it I am home from work with a terrible cold a splitting headache. After yesterdays major disappointment..I thought I would try TM for the Charity tix once again.. Since I was home (I was going to try before work)_ on the phone- what a fluke....Well I got thru on the phone & online.. Can you believe it?!?!! Yes, I did.. two tickets on the floor double letters. Much to my amazement and surprise! I was hoping the tix purchases would go thru. I now have 3 tix. I want to sell my other floor Ticket to a huge fan! but who? ..

On hold with TM
I got one confirmation ..online and than via the phone.. I decided to call Ticketmaster-good thing I did because, the automated service didn't recognize my addy...One guy from TM was kinda rude and told me my address was not valid..he put me on hold for 25 mins. I got a real nice Supervisor from TM, named Elaine..thanx Elaine..We went thru my order with success! I told her about the TM, horror I had years earlier trying to buy tickets for Paul McCartney in Miami-Ticketmaster had cancelled my 2 ticket order.. Yep, I was pissed but went on to see Paul at 3 other venues..

I have never see Ringo Live!!- The only time I have seen Ringo alive-was in LA Amoeba secret gig on Sunset, Hollywood, Ringo one aisle over:) I wanted to shake his hand or give him a hug! lol

Beatle/ McCartney Fans
Yesterday I read. there was a guy, who is visiting New York from Holland this coming April he was so devastated he could not get thru on the phone-he says lack of English trying to buy a ticket yesterday on the pre-sale..
I sent him a message that I would try my hardest to get him a ticket if I was successful today.. He is in school and will he be surprised as hell that I do have a ticket for him~ It's such a great feeling to surprise fans.. as this has happened for me in the past- a surprise ticket to see Paul in Spain..!! I'll never forget that -one of the best gigs ever up front of Macca- in the first row..

more later people .. congrats to those die hard fans who got tickets this is going to be a wicked event! I feel very fortunate to get tickets today...finding a flight is another thing..lol

his name is Luuk-wow is he excited.. me too!! he hasn't seen this blog yet..or the post, I sent him the link..hehehehehe~ he was so nervous at school today wondering if I was able to get tickets! :) Dang, Holland, that is a long way from the United States..

Luuk, has never seen Paul live! now he will see the other artists too... including Ringooo!

Well I'm am soo Happy I could help a fellow fan out-this almost made me cry-ahhh this made my day~ I have been home with amiserable cold but happened to make someones day something came out good from it, it lifts the spirits-what a fluke.
