Hey people, Paul McCartney is all over the place - on the west coast, that is.. Tonight, Paul, performs in
 Las Vegas at the iHeart radio festival, along with other major artists Bruno Mars- Justin Timeberlake- Drake to name a few. This show should kick ass- tonight's line up killer. Trying to score tix for the event really sucked.sold out in a few secs....no matter how many contests you entered, it was a-no go, lots of disappointed fans. On Tuesday it was announced that Paul, would be on Jimmy Kimmel Live  LA; than an out door gig for  fans in the studio and those who were able to score tix. through a lottery via 1iota.com.. another tough one since there was high demand' for these babies -only 2000  tix were offered to those who got picked in the lottery ... the best tix for the studio audience - family friends VIP's same yayaya...

I entered that damn lottery ..and no luck .. 1st iHeart, now Jimmy Kimmel? Gutted! I kept checking my status.. "Sold out" was the message..Today, Saturday,  a last ditch option to tweet about the Jimmy Kimmel Hollywood Blvd concert,  tweets flying galore... kinda sad cos I travel to see Paul McCartney all over the world and I can't even fucking see him in my own state?... I still had to fly to LA .so bought a plane ticket Tuesday and was going to LA regardless.... I checked my status on 1iota.com ..available---WTF?
but I just had a message -- 'no tickets available sorry'--- I rushed to FED-EX to print off my ticket ..Yeah baby I'm going to the FREE gig-- whew.. thank you.. I leave for Burbank in the am.. bringing camera..

There are several options to choose; from the straight shot, This Way Up- cd to the LUX, Deluxe version..

say what tracks?

I'm digging on initial listen/run- thru- "Very Happy Song"- a happy, uplifting lil ditty to listen too, indeed- the opening remenicent of the Beatle's ala 1967 meloncholy, catchy lyrics, it seems Brian speaks to us about today's happenings in our world-and he gets it, knows it, as if to say- cheer up people, don't give up

( it's gonna get better! :) Sing along to this happy little song.. Than back to the Beatle's influence at the end.. exquisite guitars, and changes. Great drums. This song is for you- music cheers the soul.. well written, brilliant, song ..I do love this "Very Happy Song" miles of smiles..:)

"Miranda" another uplifting song. the 1st verse lovely. ( OK, I'm a chick I can say Lovely) A guy, who has lost a girl and perhaps he has made a mistake and wants here back; in his mind's eye he thinks of her often, and what could be again?.. the chorus of
"Hey Hey Hey- Hey Miranda" ( better days are just around the bend) is pretty infectious.. loud guitars in the middle, than end with a guitar slide and stroke of a piano key- that's it folks ..lol

"Camouflage" show me the real you.. put down the make- up & everything you think is you lol.. the lead up to the bridge with drums, guitars, & vocals, so smooth.. The bridge is totally off the hook! very catchy
"We are everything that we could ever be - we got everything that we ever will need..- we don't need-Camouflage" drums guitars, vocals all as one-wow~ dig it! smart lyrics some great lines in Camouflage. You're are gonna love this one...I do..

and The titled track "This Way Up" huge rockin guitars- reminds me of The Ramone's in parts~ It's hard to describe, This Way up other than - IT"S HUGE" you'll see after a few play thrus...can't wait to get 'This Way Up" in my hands..( more later)

This Way Up- sure not to disappoint, check it out.. The new album is great no wait!
It RAWKS what I've heard so far... very smart, clever lyrics thru-out - huge guitars- some key boards, drums on time & pounding!- Rolling Stone needs to do a review, yes?

Paul McCartney's golden boy, & local "shredder" Brian Ray, is workin on a brand new album.. I swear, I was just saying to myself, I haven't heard from Brian in a long time!! hum? must be my 6th sense kickin in..Message from Brian below.. Bri Love the black and white foto.

Ok, well... who among us would have predicted a few years ago that we would elect a young man of color, with the middle name Hussein, to be president of the United States of America???

I am stunned and I feel open and optimistic in a way that I haven't in so many years. It almost felt like this tangled, dark winter of our young [by comparison] country might never end. I am humbled and moved as I catch up on the incoming administration on my TiVo contraption.

Some news of my upcoming album
I have been busy writing and recording some new music and it feels and sounds pretty good. I just did 2 days back at Eldorado here in LA, where I cut most of my tracks for my first CD, Mondo Magneto. Again, the idea was to play live with great players, laughing and working together to get exciting arrangements down, hot and fresh.

So far, I am playing with Davey Faragher and Pete Thomas, from Elvis Costello's band. Other tracks feature Aaron Sterling and Paul Bushnell and a great keyboard player from the Black Crows, Adam MacDougal. There will be other surprises as well and I'm starting to get excited about this.

I want you all to be involved!!

In the coming months I will announce some ideas and ask for your ideas on my release. I want you all to be involved in this project, just as we all need to be involved in this broken world's renewal.
I heard something life-affirming from a dear friend today... he said, "There is an opening that is permeating the collective consciousness today" [T.K.].. so let's all get with it and get on with it!!

I had troubles downloading the album, finally, it happened it wouldn't let me play automatically...
on my computer.
it didn't land on my desktop as a zip file as stated in purchase..

I have to play the album via media palyer-iTunes etc (sounds a bit rough via windows media player-not crisp sounding but it could be my player or my volume? lmao!)

I didn't receive the digital art work, I did see the piccies when first purchasing, via the Fireman webby but they're coming ...

I bought the DELUXE version ( but of course!)
I'm hoping the remixed versions include some of my favs... PLEASE!

A few of these tracks are just a bit short for me, meaning, I didn't want them to end!
