Kanye West Throws a Pity Party
Slate mags take on Kanye West, Glad I'm not the only one who feels Kanye West is arrogant.
What is it about Kanye West's self-love that annoys people so deeply? No other rapper is taken to task as frequently and as fervently for crimes of the ego. Even West's fans, on message boards and in comments sections, This is hard to figure.
Complaining about a rapper's outsized ego is a bit like complaining about a professional bicyclist's outsized calves or a clown's outsized pants: They're part of the job description.
Part of the answer lies, it seems, in one of West's most human-scale traits: the way he'll undercut his arrogance with evidence of the self-doubts gnawing beneath. When Lil' Wayne calls himself the best rapper alive or T.I. anoints himself, simply, king, they are imperious about it. When West argues for his greatness, he often does so with a needy whine: ranting onstage and off at awards shows about perceived snubs; using his blog to attack an Entertainment Weekly reviewer who gave West's recent tour a mere B+ rating.

Great article from Slate!
Man, I thought this article was so great I sent it to Digg and Stumbled it!
No celebrity or artist has ever left me speechles or as pissed off, as Sarah Palin or Kanye West. Below is part of my comment on Slate.com
There is nothing wrong believing you are the Greatest, we can laugh at artists not taking themselves so seriously, perhaps they are humble- is the key word? but this guy is so arrogant and rude, not only in print, but to the press. I don't get it.
If Kanye West is trying to get a rise like the Beatles did with John Lennon's
"we're bigger than Jesus" claim, than West has missed the mark...John Lennon was kidding but as you know, some didn't see it as a joke, than the Beatle ban begun.
note:
see posts or older posts on West's claim he wants to be bigger than the Beatles and IS bigger than Elvis~

If you like this post Stumble or Digg it!
Paul McCartney supports Barrack Obama dont forget the VP debate tonight.
Today Macca attended the fashion show of designer daughter Stella McCartney in Paris. One reporter from the Associated Press asked Paul, which candidate he supported in the US election? Paul McCartney responded, he hopes Barrack Obama to win!
It's nice to know that Macca supports one of them, but remember when Paul played the Bridge School Bennie a few years ago and said "vote for Kerry" when he walked onto the stage? we all let out a slight gasp, than followed by cheers. I for one didn't think Paul would be Political.
The VP debate on in moments
Am I the only one waiting with anticipation for Sarah Palin to fall onto her face, with a splat? I swear her interviews with Charlie Gibson & Katie Couric were, well...quite dreadful. For me this women does not have much common sense-simply put, and she wants to "Represent" this country? Embarrassing!
S. Palin is not worldly enough, educated or sophisticated to step into the shoes of a high power leader such as the President of the United States. I'd call her backwoods, she is scary.
We would be the laughing stock of the world if such a women stepped into power. John McCain really screwed this one up. This entire Presidential race reminds me of a reality show with all it's cast of characters. I don't care if she is a women she has nothing on Hillary Clinton not now or ever, HA!

Slate magazine "Dear Prudence"
Slate magazine.
Years ago I found this funny lil webby online called Slate magazine poking fun at politicians and current day events with a satirical twist, to put it quit simply. I must say this website is absolutely brilliant! while sleuthing the site the other day I came across a feature named
"Dear Prudence" of course quite captivated by the name for its Beatle reference and song~ "Dear Prudence"
Prudence (not her real name of course) is what you would call a modern day
"Dear Abbey" people writing in for advice from how tos-what to dos, morals and manners. I must say it IS quit hysterical! Questions are formed into a video cartoon, "brill" than "Prudie"thoughtfully nicknamed, responds in a video letter as herself, also "brill" If I could figure a way to post a video here of "Dear Prudence" I will, of course my description of the site does not do it justice. See webby here
In the meantime why not listen to "Dear Prudence by the Beatles"
a lil Beatles history
The song is about actress Mia Farrow's sister, Prudence, who was present when the Beatles visited Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India. Prudence, focused on meditation, stayed in her room for the majority of their stay. Lennon, who was worried that she was depressed, wrote this song for her, inviting her to "come out to play".
While the Beatles left the course, Mia, Prudence, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, and others, stayed and became Transcendental Meditation (or TM) teachers.
