Paul McCartney's OUT THERE in Europe!

- Tweet,Stumble or Digg it! TY~

Paul McCartney's OUT THERE in Europe!

Hey people,.. just got back from Europe! With it's twists and turns- Highs & lows- Europe,.. turns out to be a mighty interesting adventure  "OUT THERE"... Beginning with,  Warsaw Poland, Verona Italy and ending in Vienna Austria- from airport jumping to running on 3-4 hours sleep..standing in the rain.. to missing Paul McCartney.. to running into the band and the crew at Verona airport   Some surprises during Paul McCartney's sound checks and the gigs.. I believe Paul himself and the band were surprised - Paul McCartney,  and his freaking awesome band  - Brian Ray, Abe Laboriel Jr, Paul 'WIX' Wickens & Rusty Anderson...give some phenomenal .. performances; on this European leg of his "Out There" tour --and the crowds loved it.. I LOVED IT..No one was left disappointed~ everyone felt the LOVE.....

Warsaw Poland....

I flew from San Jose, California, to LA tol Frankfurt- to Warsaw.. it took a full 24 to get there... man was I tired no sleep .. just our luck there was a crying baby the entire flight from LAX- Frankfurt  .. Damn! I met up with Carol & Maryanne at their hotel.. They wanted to go to OLD TOWN- whaaa? I haven't had any sleep.. Old Town was beautiful! very friendly people in Poland.. ( I forgot my camera at the hotel ) than we ate at a cafe-- the misquito's kept attacking us.. we got back to the hotel at 1am Crazy!

“The next day, we had decided to go National Stadium and see if we could run into Paul and hear the rehearsals. It was hot I arrived at 2:45 pm. I stood at the media gate. Later Carol and Maryanne had joined me. It began to rain, a downpour. I had a dress on. The productions manager gave me a plastic cover up and we just stood there telling McCartney stories.
near hotel city center Warsaw, Poland
Polish fan holding up signed Hofner as Carol Maryanne & I waited for Paul 8 hours in the rain
“Around 9:25 p.m., four black Mercedes and a van drove into the stadium gates two gates down. We went over. We were gutted that we had missed Paul.
“Brian Riddle, one of Paul's security team came out. 'Hey girls!' 'We missed Paul,' we said? 'He's not here yet.' We began to smile again. Brian radioed, 'There were three fans waiting at the gate'. They (Paul and company) were enroute. So here comes Paul, more blacked out windows. We said 'Hi John' (Hammel ) and 'Hi Mark (Hamilton). But no Paul! No stop! They drove straight thru the gate at 9:40 p.m.
“We were so upset. Eight hours standing in the rain! After rehearsals, which ended at 11:42 p.m., Brian Riddle comes out again. We thought of going back to the hotel. I wanted to stay. We waited this long..
“So here comes Paul and all of them again. We stood three feet away from the gate this time, standing on the wrong side. Ohhh. Paul waved to us from the driver's side. We just saw him waving.

Soundcheck

Happy Birthday Sign- Sue made signed by all Sound Checkers seen here -right

Hi Paul! Please Sign the Bluebird On My Wrist OUT THERE AGAIN- XO ;):

Cool sign I designed for Paul & I lost it... weird?
'It was hard to hear Warsaw Sound check there was a lot of echo in that huge stadium"..

afterwards we were kicked out! security was mean very rude.. they made us walk half a mile around the stadium - security stopped us for a very long time.. becuz we had "Birthday" signs for Paul...Obviously, upset. we kept our cool security held us for over a half an hour.. we had one of the sound checkers translate for us - a Polish guy.. forgot his name..

Finally they let us thru ... once inside.. we began to pass out the 600 plus BIRTHDAY signs out to the fans of various degree's 3 different sign types of BIRTHDAY were made, in the hopes when Paul and the band saw the signs they would break into BIRTHDAY- which they didn't sing hahaha..

We held up the BIRTHDAY   -

during the opener-- when finished with "Eight Days A Week...The crowd began to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU- During HEY JUDE- Fans held up 'HEY PAUL' -

during the song, Macca/Paul,  seemed touched .. it all seems a blur that first night in Warsaw... next day it was off to Verona, Italy  I have no Warsaw pics because my camera died!

ONLY&! of two pics I got at Warsaw Sound Check....
Sorry- I don't have pics of this Warsaw gig :(--- but it was great! fans were great- Coming up Verona, Italy! Wow!!

Sunday July 11th 9:50 pm

Whew, just woke up after getting home earlier today; an exciting and interesting Macca gig this time around- off to bed as work calls in the am. Sound check, was brilliant at AT&T Park! Paul is very funny. Camera didn't die this time around-will update tomorrow..

San Francisco Sound check
well I managed to take a lil over 100 piccie's let's see how many turned out? This was suppose to be a great gig, getting the sound check package- things actually didn't happen, as expected.. What was great, the sound check...Paul's banter and humor; Paul and the band jamming songs..

It was a hot summer day when we were finally ushered out onto the field to hear the Sound check..
Before, Paul arrived-

Cool to meet Wix!
"WIX" came around and walked thru the soundcheckers- one fan asked for a piccie as did I; this was a first time, ever meeting Wix. He was very gracious & a gentlemen. I shook his hand and said "Hi Wix, I'm McCartney" - with the black Macca hat. It sat on the chair, as we both looked too the chair. The look on his
face was priceless..I might have surprised him a bit, with the McCartney name- hehehe It was great to meet Wix. :) Now, If I can only meet Abe & paul...:) psst. Wix, has soft hands~ :)

Paul finally arrived..
Paul was in rare form, as always. We all greeted Macca with cheers and excitement! all done up with sunglasses and all, Paul and the band ( with sunglasses ) began their mini jam session.
.
Paul welcomed us and asked 'where the flowers were in our hair?' hahahaha- Paul jammed, San Francisco Bay Blues - Ram On- Every night- Sea Melody~to name a few.. Paul, than spoke to us.
a Sign _ I see- I LOVE THAT SONG!~
..
" I LOVE THAT SONG. I love that song, you love that song~
Thank you, for all your support - and your ~ HAT!!!"

said Paul McCartney. Did Paul say anything else, did I miss a thing? as I held up the sign- blowing in my face, I laughed. Paul made me laugh and I was trying to get him and the band to laugh! I held up the sign, each time, Paul, started a new song.. Wow, coolio.. Would Paul get the sign this time?

Note: we're are all great fans of Paul McCartney ~ Me, just one in a million~
.
Second time Macca had spoken to me from the stage at sound check.. first time in Dallas- That was FUN also.. Paul just thanked me?! ahh.. Wow, trip! I don't think he could see the sign clearly I wasn't sure..I wanted him to "try on - the hat".. I knew it was slim chance but,
.
I have worn this 'MACCA hat' to over 30 gigs so far - it has traveled alot of miles- with me... I than wanted to make sure I could remember what Paul had said..? my mind raced quickly~
.
NO, Thank you Paul! For all the music..I tried, to shout back!~ Paul, than mentioned an 8 year old girl was in the group today along with an 80 year old man who's birthday was today ? all ages.~ here today ..he than read BeatleBarbs sign- not sure what it said..something about the Beatles~ ? as he mentioned years~ I couldn't hear what he said clearly~

note: the 2nd half of this blog post is difficult to write: it started off as a great day - than went bad- all bad before the gig started!~ sigh! Some reason I cann
ot upload foto's again ..I will in the days to come.. We were lead to the Vip lounge and had a great veggie dinner. Yum!

what about security?~
Soon to our seats...Well, I went to sit down.. and obviously the 5th row had too much 'party' many drunk.. I got yelled at about wearing my hat. I was in the 4th row..I didn't say a thing. a couple, were kicking my chair and yelling, cussing in my ear along with the guy next to me; who was part of the VIP soundcheck- I felt very bad for him.. the couple became threatening- So I went to security; One of Paul's head security was too busy doing stuff when I tried to ask for some help..the head security of AT&T park talked to the couple and informed them if they kept up they would be thrown out.. he meant business~
.
This couple was arguing with security. I didn't say a word. ..Are you kidding me? In all the gigs I have been too, I had never had a problem. if that wasn't bad enough, a huge guy next to the couple got in on the action.. Yelling and cussing at me thru-out the gig.. I didn't know what to do?.. there was a fan over 6 ft tall, who stood in front of me the whole time taking piccies- nothing else and I had to duck and dodge trying to get a view..
While trying to help a woman get a view to take pics herself... I hope MPL gets wind somehow, on the possible dangers for woman solo fans- at Paul McCartney's upcoming gigs~ being harrassed.. and lookout for us in those first few rows... is this at all possible?!
.
Female Fans Safety~
I wasn't sure whether to call security again and I worried that if they, had, come to talk to this drunk man- and left - he might hit me or something? he kept pushing me- saying foul things and I finally turned around and gave him a dirty look- During 1985- I put my hat on and he said "Bitch I can't see" - he was huge. He took my hat and hid it underneath a chair...wow~ this same guy was even bothering me before the gig started, along with the ranting couple- asking about after party's and if I had any weed?..

Every time, I attempted to hold up my banner. Whamo! I was hit in the right arm..We pay alot of money to be in these seats, to have a beautiful time, and at $1500 the 2nd half of my night was ruined as I had to deal - with screaming, harassing drunks .. It was hard to focus on the gig..I was concerned for my personal safety...I never want to go through that again..I want to enjoy Paul McCartney & his band!

If you can't handle alcohol- don't drink - that's right~

New European Tour Announced Including Paul's Only UK Date In 2009

Good Evening Europe Tour 2009

Following a massive tour of the US this summer, Paul McCartney today announces his first European Tour since 2004. This December will see Macca play seven special arena shows across Europe, culminating with his first ever public performance at London's O2 Arena, which will be his only UK date of this year.

Other firsts on this tour will include shows at Berlin’s O2 World venue and Dublin’s The O2.

Paul commences his tour in Hamburg – a city he is very familiar with. Incredibly, it's now 49 years since The Beatles historic visit, which created rock folklore and put Hamburg on the map as a musical Mecca for hundreds and thousands of music pilgrims over the years.

This will be Paul’s first time back in Hamburg (as well as Arnhem, Cologne and Dublin) since his 2003 "Back In The World" tour. Meanwhile, the people of Berlin will get their first Paul McCartney concert in 16 years, since 1993's "New World Tour"! December will take Paul back to Paris for the first time since he played an intimate club show at the Olympia in 2007.

Speaking about the tour, Paul said:

"This is my chance to bring our current show home to where it all began. Starting in Hamburg, ending in London and rocking everywhere in between. I'm very much looking forward to ending the year on a high."

Master of voices Beatles McCartney Lennon Elvis Bowie Jeff lynne

Hey people several months ago, let's say 6 or so I was listening to Beatle vids on Youtube. I ran across a few vids from someone named, Steve Riks. I first heard him do, a Paul McCartney song. Than a John Lennon song. I didn't realize he was one in the same person?! His voice is amazing. He covers so many artists. He covers all the Beatle's individually.

I than watched some parodies of Ringo, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Freddie Mercury, Barry Gibb, Neil Young, all done by Steve. The jeff Lynne spot, I will post during the holidays. It is hillarious. Dig, the British humor. I laughed my ass off. His mannerisms of Macca & others are spot on.

To top it off, Steve. is from Liverpool. Fast forward to September 09 last weekend while watching Steve's vids-I read: "Steve had been banned from Youtube" What a bunch of crap. Say what ~ Banned?! They're not serious are they? Get a grip Youtube!

Millions of people remake songs, cover songs, cover bands etc. WTF? this guy is a genius. A comedian, impressionist, vocalist-you name it. His vocal range is amazing. Youtube needs to allow Steve to come back. This is bogus, stating copy right violations? Better Ban half the videos & people on youtube than, Youtube.
I spent hours last week watching Steve's vids I would be flattered if I was the artist being parodied. I laughed, watched and listened to them over and over. This guy is the real deal :) I love him!

Check out some of his vocal talent in these vids below amazing. See for yourself.

Please stumble or Digg to get the word out about Steve. Tell your friends & their friends and so on & so on. Feel free to leave a comment or two. What's with this Youtube banning business?

Notes in Music-McCartney, Beatles, Electric Arguments, Rolling Stone, Ram On LA
Feb. 27th Fri. evening

Hey people how you doing this evening? This week in Notes in Music- (just in case you might have missed it somehow!) This will be a long post...Here are some happenings you might want to know about and check out...

Ram On LA-Tribute to Paul McCartney, Covers-Album cover right

Out Monday, free.....

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Aquarium Drunkard and Autumn Tone Records announce

Ram on L.A., a cover-compilation featuring 11 of L.A.’s favorite bands – digitally available on Monday, March 2nd
“Los Angeles: huge, sprawling, and eclectic, has been likened to microcosm of the country as whole -- truly a melting pot of various cultures, ethnicities, tastes and influences. So is her music. With various scenes and sub-scenes, rarely has there been a defining "sound" that marks the overall zeitgeist of what is happening in the city at any one time. In 2008 I set out to create a compilation of a dozen or so L.A. based artists that I felt were creating something both unique and diverse. After some thought I decided that there needed to be a running theme, something to tie the artists together into a cohesive whole, a common bond.
As records tend to do, a revisited appreciation of Paul McCartney's 1971 solo album, RAM, had begun to see a resurgence of sorts within a number of local Eastside artists, coming up in conversations and on the turntables of various house parties.

The theme was found Over the course of the second half of 2008 eleven Angeleno artists individually went in to various studios, rehearsal spaces and apartments to record their take on what is my favorite, and arguably, McCartney's best solo work.... the end result is RAM On L.A.”
Justin Gage

Founder

Aquarium Drunkard/Autumn Tone Records

Released as a high-quality 320kbs MP3 digital download via Aquarium Drunkard's label, Autumn Tone Records, the not-for-profit compilation is free for download at www.aquariumdrunkard.com. Listeners are encouraged to make donations to No More Landmines (http://www.landmines.org.uk), the fantastic cause that "helps and empowers communities around the world by removing the threat of landmines and unexploded weapons." A cause championed by Sir Paul McCartney himself.

With a truly diverse lineup, comprised of both Los Angeles scene stalwarts and new faces alike, listeners get to sample a slice of the present "sound" of Los Angeles, while revisiting one of if not, the best solo effort by one of the greatest artists of the last five decades. Every penny of donations from listeners will go directly to No More Landmines

Electric Arguments Deluxe set-late
What in the world? Last night, I had posted on Macca's webby, asking about my Electric Arguments Deluxe box set, I ordered last Nov.
One of the mods informed me another webby claimed the Deluxe sets were going to be made available in mid-April? Say Whaa? Ok than, why were we not informed and shown some love via email on the delay?
It was also stated that the new Deluxe Electric Arguments sets would have a few more goodies added to those who purchased em?
Don't know if that is true or not? I just think it a bit odd we were not informed. Now, this is taking an entire 5 mos. to receive my Macca music? lmao!

More on Obama
Well after thinkin about this a few days I still haven't gotten my thoughts together regarding our new President Barack Obama. I know this tho, I feel hope for this country. I'm thinkin Barack Obama will be one of those Presidents "For the People" Now when is the last time we had a President for the people, and not about, big Government? I believe the economy will fall harder... before it gets better. So, we need to give our new Prezzie a "Chance"

Last night even Jay Leno was playfully jokin around about Barack Obama..his Monologue was on hit. I loved the lil skit of Barack Obama in The White House bowling alley! that was too freakin funny! Cannot find it on YouTube at this time.. Even the comedians are light hearted about Bama, gives ya that warm fuzzy feelin..This is what the country needs something that brings us together..I'm feelin it.. He is just a man not the messiah or God..

Obama has Lil Wayne on his Blackberry
Oh and I heard this lil snippet last night on the telly from Obama himself. His good friend/ lil-brother Reggie, how he downloaded Lil Wayne-onto his Ipod-or Blackberry? would that be the clean or explicit versions- Mr. President? lmao!

Barack Obama feels like what the Beatles were to the 60's with all the mania surrounding him...I like that! you know it's true!

Jay Leno Tonight Show monologue
On another note..Tonight Show please post Jay Leno's skit from Jan 23 rd 09..of Barack Obama, that was really funny.. I laughed so hard...hell, post the entire monologue it was brilliant one of Jay Leno's best..

Must read article: Twisting the words of Paul McCartney the Author gives it straight
Jonathan Power
11:55pm Thursday late

An excellent article written by the man who interviewed Paul McCartney. The interview was in turn, published in Britain's "Prospect magazine" I haven't read the Prospect article myself however, I did catch a snippet about 'Paul was the more political Beatles not John Lennon'. and posted it in my other blog, I disagreed. Mr Power is correct, quotes, are all over the place. Read below the authors, passionate stance, in correct news reporting, and publishing of news articles. The author sets the record straight-nice. Pay attention news agency's I'd be hot too..hb

Paul McCartney is big news
Whatever Paul McCartney says or does is news, sometimes big news. In September, when he went to give a concert in Israel - making up for the Beatles concert that the Israeli government forbad at the last moment, 43 years ago - he was slashed at by some pro-Palestinian critics for "singing to the enemy".
No matter the "enemy" audience was perhaps 20 percent Arab, that he also used his trip to visit the West Bank not only to see Jesus' birth place but to call in on Edward Said's music school. When he sang he also in his trademark low- key, non-preachy, way pointed his audience in the direction of compromise and healing. One of the prices of the fame he has is to see his honest words and honest thoughts twisted almost out of recognition.

I saw this happen close up last week when my long conversation with McCartney was published in Britain's leading intellectual monthly, Prospect magazine. It was if the press has a mindset about the McCartney-John Lennon relationship that demands that anything he says be squeezed into some previous mold, and if doesn't quite fit then an extra shove is made so that the verbal tentacles are distorted beyond recognition as they are pressed down.

After banner headlines over the misleading story in British newspapers, led by the big circulation, Rupert Murdoch paper, the Sunday Times, the wire service, Associated Press, carried the story around the world, where it was printed in literally hundreds of papers. One report, one identical story, the world is covered with misleading information by editors too uncaring or unmotivated or just plain lazy to make a call to Prospect to ask for the original wording. Not one journalist called me.

"The fact is the interview carries not a word of rivalry with John Lennon. Neither about which Beatle discovered the Vietnam War first, (the main themes of the Sunday Times/AP story). Nor about the allusions the story made to McCartney's (mythical) claim, at Lennon's expense, to have written the best of the Beatles' tunes."

The interview runs to about 5000 words - double that in its uncut form. The discussion on the Vietnam War is perhaps a dozen lines of that. The mention of John Lennon is once - when Paul describes how he returned from a conversation with Bertrand Russell to tell the other three what he had heard from the old philosopher about the evils of the war in Vietnam.

The original interview, the beginning of the Revolution
My interview with Paul originated in the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys over 50 years ago. We were classmates. We played cricket together and I witnessed the first Beatles' concert when he and George Harrison (in the year behind us) played for our class on the last day of school. We yelled like groupies! We have stayed in touch.

I wrote to Paul in May to send him the column I wrote on the newspaper hype about the 40th anniversary of the student rebellion in Paris. I wrote that the "revolution" did not begin in 1968. It began in 1955 when an old black lady, Rosa Parks, in Montgomery, Alabama, sat down in a bus on a seat reserved for white people. She was arrested and out of the shadows stepped a young preacher, Martin Luther King. The rest is history. King's driven nonviolent campaigns resulted in the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Millions of blacks were liberated and enfranchised. The long road out of oppression led to the election of Barack Obama.
What a real revolution that has been! Along the way in 1961 came the Beatles, a liberating force for millions of young people. Also in Britain in the same year Amnesty International was founded - a milestone in the rise of human rights consciousness. To start contemporary history in 1968 is a fatuous mistake.

Paul agreed we talk about this and we decided we would meet and go over our lives and discuss what had affected us though our lifetime and what had tuned us both in at school to fight racism and war. We met twice, once for two hours and once for an hour and talked - about school, the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, right through to the Russian invasion of Georgia. On the way we talked about literature and the impact of FR Leavis, the great Cambridge Shakespearian scholar, on the writing of Eleanor Rigby, and Paul's feelings on the likelihood that his songs will still be sung in 500 years' time.

Paul is a self-effacing, wise, intelligent man. He may grab the spotlight on the stage. But he has no need to twist history. And neither should the press when reporting on him.

Nice article, correction Brilliant article Mr. Power- what a friend you are too Macca, hats off to ya... I have to say myself, this was a a gutsy article..straight talk.... c'mon he calls a spade a spade good for him. Wouldn't you be pissed if someone butchered your words or article?

Take note this is the way to sell, market and promote products, freakin Adidas genius!
note: re-edit watch these 4 vids if you haven't seen or heard them yet semi long post ha!

A couple weeks ago while on the computer is when I first heard a lil ditty on television that caught my ears and my eyes. I'm not the type to be influenced by telly commercials to buy products. But when I heard this and watched the commercial, I said to myself, now.. this is the way to sell a product!
what a rawkin, lil down commercial, the beats get you... hooked! Adidas is a marketing genius on this commercial- It's one of the best advertisements ever to hit television, This does make ya wanna run out, and buy adidas doesn't?..commercial below ..you'll see what I'm talkin about..

adidas Originals House party-commercial

Featuring below:
David Beckam,Katy Perry, Estelle, Young Jeezy, the Ting Tings, DMC-Daryl McDaniels, Method Man, Redman, Afra, Ryukyudisko, Russell Simmons, Missy E...

When I heard and watched, I said,' this sounds vaguely familiar but what is it?' the beat sounds familiar as does the music and vocals... it kinda sounds like.......Franki Vali? nah, it couldn't be? ( more on Franki Vali later) After investigating on YouTube, I was right, trip! Mixing old school 60's vibe with urban street is freakin genius, along with an all star cast..at one party
(we'd all like to be at)- make this Adidas campaign, On hit, a marketing success!

But what about the re-mix's?

. Frankie Valli &The Four Seasons - Beggin' (Pilooski re-edit re-mix)

OK, so this is Pilooski's re-mix version for the Adidas commercial in it's entirety. Dang! does anyone remember this, (the song I mean!) I was like WTF?!!! I haven't heard this since I was a young kid way young, lol. I don't remember it being played much on the radio? After hearing this I said, damn Franki Vali and the Four Seasons, most people don't remember them except us who were born in the 60's or 70's I bet. Everyone under 30 will get hooked on the vibe and the Four Seasons will have a whole new cult following. What musical memories..Pilooski you did good man, the hook is insane, mad down beats- repeat!

well this following vid of Beggin is the re-edit of the Pilooski remix-I know, but it's a must watch video of creative genuis at work ... I had posted this strange video by Cyriak months ago.. you'll know what I'm talkin about just by the name,.... mentioned above...see Cyriak's take on Beggin brilliant!

Beggin-re-edit cyriak.co.uk

A slightly different take as you can see. Paul McCartney needs to commision this guy for his vids! lol excellant vid, great work and editing...more below....

But what about the Originals Franki Valli and the Four Seasons?

The Original Beggin-Franki Valli &; The Four Seasons

Man Franki Valli and the Four Seaons had a cool sound didn't they? a Great lil band from the 60's with a R&B vibe... Such songs as Sherry to Big girls don't cry, My eyes adore you, Can't take my eyes off of you & Grease to name a few. I bet any of these 3 vids posted above will go viral. Now companies need to do this same 'promotional vibe' with McCartney and Beatles music, since they are soo heavily loved and fresh today, as in 1964.

Music industry, wanna sell records>please take note, wanna set the world on fire?.. Bring back the 60's 70's vibe across all genres new and old. Look at the craze and commotion the Adidas commercial has caused with mix of new and old advertising?.. people feel it, it makes you happy and stirs emotion. I tell you, this is what the music industry needs, artists please take note:

If you Love and Feel that old school 60's 70's vibe, bring it back, make the music, Records will sell, hard, dang, I have been saying this for years wishing this style and type of music would make it's return a few artists have already started, namely, Amy Whinehouse, however more should follow suit. Take it from a music lover I have an ear for music.. hehehehe..

I also wanted to create this post for others that have not heard or seen these vids around the world, to feel what I'm feelin and with correct promotion and advertising you can sell' almost anything'. This Adidas commercial strikes the spirit..deep with a smile..The best commercial to ever hit television....get your pencils and paper out.... Oh, and that reminds me to buy them shoes, it got me.. ...lol .....Job well done Adidas---Sheer Genuis!.

Fireman Electric Arguments vids check these out!

Still haven't heard the Fireman and their latest Electric Arguments? Well check these vids out, this flows rather nicely from Lovers in a Dream, Sing the Changes & the Fireman recording. The first vid, The BEST video, Maccaspan has ever done in video on Macca, my opinion of course. Maccamaker on Sing the changes and finally The Fireman in Sussex recording. Enjoy the vids!

Maccaspan-Lovers in a Dream

Another great vid made by Maccamaker, job well done! Sing the changes below, from
Electric Arguments. Very fireman like don't you agree?

Maccamaker-Sing the Changes

The Fireman Rushes in to the recording studio in Sussex, England
*
hehehehe Paul you're so clever please release a clever vid from the album.
*
I'd loved to see a mixed version and vid of Universal Here Everlasting now, a fav from the album. Paul, where is the mystery of a mixed track video or two for that matter? it would rawk hard, not that you would want a cult following. I believe Rushes is one of the" best ever" written by the Fireman.

LIGHT FROM YOUR LIGHTHOUSE~ liken the deep vocals more than anything. Midnight special anyone?
*
DANCE TILL WHERE HIGH~ a Catchy tune a 60's type vibe & beat with bells-ok chimes, lovin it! ( man I wish that early 60's 70's style would come back!) it's a hit!
*
LOVERS IN A DREAM~ diggin this! Very Fireman, like the first two Fireman albums. hypnotic, almost dance, techno- YES! ` a delicious tune.
*
UNIVERSAL HERE, EVERLASTING NOW~ aha another Fireman style cut, diggin that also. The Piano is Brilliant so emotional! YES! another delicious tune. From the dog, too back ground sounds, the whisperin voice of 'Sing the Changes' this catches you by surprise as if to say:

The Fireman rushes in Macca to drop a new album follow the clues ?!

Hum., Yesterday NME posted "Paul is firing EMI" so I didn't read the article,. Well Paul had done this already,. gave EMI the boot last year for lack of vision-boring,. said Paul, but upon careful sleuthing thru my deleted mail..I came upon the NME story with piccie of partly posted Fireman pic.,.(gosh I'm mean) lol seen here.

NME claims they donot know the orgin, meaning of the pic-some sort of album cover art.,.,it's gotta be a plant,.right? ha!
Anyhow,. I picked up a link from a thoughtful girly in the UK,. Now if you enter the Firemen webby you land on said piccie as posted on NME., and here right-nice huh!

and when you click on any links where does this land you? On Paul McCartney's official webby,.Imagine that! Hey,. what do you want?. me to provide the links and clues for you? Yeah, the walrus was Paul,.

I love cryptic messages .,.,those that know me well know that I write in this manner,. So the question is this, will Paul be dropping another album under the Fireman or will it be McCartney 111? When,. Where & Under what name? Linda's birthday?

Well on Meyesite you can listen to "check my machine" from McCartney 11.. Yeah,. checkin on the webby Paul.,I don't think it's there for the fun of it? perhaps these were just early clues- again, maybe? yes,. this has got to be it, Some of that other music sounds like that Rushes album too..I kill myself, lol

I love it when Paul is a clever man, tis like finding a treasure getting his fans all worked up & stuff....it's so effin exciting !! I like all em theories don't you with the exception Paul is dead theory.,It's the first day of Fall or Autumn my favorite time of year., I cannot wait for the new album!~what's it all about Alfie!!!

please go ahead post your thoughts

Is Paul in Israel this week, Security better be protecting his ass!

No matter how many protests by various groups or fans like me, for that matter. Paul McCartney will be playing his first time ever, gig, in Tel-Aviv this coming Sept 25.. that is 12 only, days away.
I wonder if Paul and the band are there now? Certainly we should be hearing from Brian. There is a contest on a local radio station (Quebec) to see Paul in concert. I have to find the link. I'm hoping Paul has a gang-load of security with him to protect him and the band from Political fanatics & protesters alike.!

I had re-wrote this page only to have it close on me while searching in Google, dang!
Anyhow here is the link if you would like to click on it to possibly fly to Israel to see Macca
93.3 FM promotions
&
here in french

What about security for Paul?

I''d hate to see some dump-truck try and F-up this party....
Yeah know, I bet Michael would bring out a can of whip-ass onto anyone that got outta hand. Michael. geez, have you seen the size of those guns on that guy? friendly, easy going, friendly. I wouldn't want to piss him off! lol than we have Mr. Mark a quiet one, who seems to come from outta nowhere, remember Paris 04? He was soo nice I'll never forget his help.smile..Well if these guys are there to protect Paul, I feel I can sleep better now. Macca feels just like family to me, and I cannot help to worry? I worry about the band also..

If you have never seen Paul McCartney live, I tell you this, It will be one of the most memorable moments of your life... E-V-E-R...! Truly..

10:38pm saturday night

WTF? Now Paul McCartney is receiving death threats if he plays Israel? This freakin bugs me real effin bad.,. I just received a Macca news alert that Paul is receiving death threats! This pisses me off, Damn and Paul still plans to play there? I have not read the links yet but will provide em.. on Jihad watch it's posted:

"SIR Paul McCartney has been threatened that he will be the target of suicide bombers unless he abandons plans to play his first concert in Israel".

Sunday September 14,2008
By Dennis Rice Sunday Express, edit: plus my own lil comments "hb take"

SIR Paul McCartney has been threatened that he will be the target of suicide bombers unless he abandons plans to play his first concert in Israel.

Self-styled preacher of hate Omar Bakri claimed the former Beatle’s decision to take part in the Jewish state’s 60th anniversary celebrations had made him an enemy of all Muslims.( hb take: what like other western musicians haven't played in the region before? why threaten Paul McCartney?)

Sources said Sir Paul was shocked but refused to be intimidated. In an interview with Israeli media yesterday he said: “I was approached by different groups and political bodies who asked me not to come here. I refused. I do what I think and I have many friends who support Israel. ( hb take:right, Paul, you shouldn't be threatend but I'd be scared and would refrain from stepping on ground there, you are much to precious to us that LOVE you!)

”Sir Paul, 65, should have gone to Israel with the Beatles in 1965 but they were barred by the Jewish nation’s government over fears they would corrupt young people. ( hb take: quite a bunch of BS simple)

Yesterday a number of websites described him as an infidel and suggested he was going to Israel only because of the reported £2.3m fee for the one-off concert. A message posted on one website said: (hb take: Infidel? now what would they know what Paul McCartney believes in he is a man of PEACE)

“Shame on you Paul McCartney for day trippin’ to apartheid Israel” and vowed never to buy his music again.Bakri, who made his weekly internet broadcast to fellow extremists from his home in Lebanon, where he has lived in exile since being banned from returning to Britain, said (hb take: man this guy needs to get a clue perhaps he would dig a Macca concert and set his head straight, well it's just a thought?

Sir Paul was “making more enemies than friends”.Syrian-born Bakri, 48, went on: “I heard today that the pop star Paul McCartney is playing as a part of the celebrations.

“If you speak about the holocaust and its authenticity never being proved historically in the way the Jewish community portray it, people will arrest you. People will you say you should not speak like this. Yet they go and celebrate the anniversary of 60 years of what? ( hb take: the Holocaust never being proved historically, huh is this guy truly serious?)

“Instead of supporting the people of Palestine in their suffering, McCartney is celebrating the atrocities of the occupiers. The one who is under occupation is supposed to be getting the help. “And so I believe for Paul McCartney, what he is doing really is creating more enemies than friends.”Explaining his comments, Bakri told the Sunday Express: (hb take: you can't fault a man for what he truly believes but this is a bit extreme.)

“Our enemy’s friend is our enemy.“Thus Paul McCartney is the enemy of every Muslim. We have what we call ‘sacrifice’ operatives who will not stand by while he joins in a celebration of their oppression. (hb take: did he take a vote stating every muslim hates Macca or am I missing something here?

“If he values his life Mr McCartney must not come to Israel. He will not be safe there. The sacrifice operatives will be waiting for him.”

Lawyer Anjem Choudary, who last week chaired a meeting in London at which extremists claimed the next 9/11-style atrocity would be in Britain, said:( hb take: these guys are fanatical, crazy, maniacs.,.period)

Sir Paul had allowed himself to become a propaganda tool for Israel. He added: “Muslims have every right to be angry at Paul McCartney. How would the world react if he wanted to have a concert in occupied Kashmir?“They would not allow it to happen but because it is Israel he can play. (hb take: blah blah blah boring!)

A country which, as the celebration indicates did not exist 60 years ago, only exists thanks to stealing and occupying another country’s lands.” Yesterday the comments drew condemnation from Palestinian sources and outsiders.( Hb take: as it should)

Omar Barghouti, of The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, described the threat as “deplorable”.Patrick Mercer, the Conservative MP for Newark and a former Shadow Security Minister, said:

“One could dismiss Bakri as a ranting extremist but history has shown that he has an ability to twist minds, so his comments should not be underestimated. (hb take: I'd take a threat like this pretty seriously-what a jerk.)

“If Sir Paul McCartney wants to play at the 60th anniversary then it is the worst form of illiberalism for Omar Bakri to restrict the artist’s freedom in this way.”A spokesman for Sir Paul declined to comment on the threat, saying: (Hb take: yes, many are pretty speechless also how could one comment for Paul?.)

“Paul’s Friendship First concert is about his music. Paul’s is a message of peace.”Tickets for the concert range from £70 to £230.

what a bunch of crap you cannot reason with a bunch of maniacs!

what do you think thoughts anyone?

McCartney's set satisfies with mix of old and new
Bernard Perusse ,
Montreal Gazette
Published: 36 minutes ago
QUEBEC - The publicity seekers and agenda makers would have had egg on their faces to hear the wall of cheers that greeted Paul McCartney as he addressed more than 200,000 people on the Plains of Abraham with a simple "Bonsoir les quebecois! Bonsoir toute la gang!" after opening his set with an exhuberant Jet.

With the sea of glow sticks, cell phones and flicking red light badges of Quebec's Festival d'été taking the place of the mandatory lighters in a crowd that stretched as far as the eye could see across the Plains,

McCartney continued in rocker mode as he pumped his beloved Hofner bass - the same model he played with the Beatles - and delivered, in quick succession, Drive my Car and Only Mama Knows.
"Je parle seulement un petit peu français," (sic), the singer said, "so I'll be speaking English." Not that this seemed to be a problem to anyone, as he reached back 45 years to sing a joyous All My Loving, continued with Flaming Pie and a driving Got to Get You into my Life, before upping the crowd's energy level with a screaming Let me Roll It and the reggae-inflected C Moon.

C'est ma première visite au Québec - and it's a great place," he said.

Hb~ nice lil write up Bernard~

Paul McCartney Quebec show draws thousands, soundcheck
Kevin Dougherty,
The GazettePublished: 2 hours ago The Soundcheck

QUEBEC - McCartney fans sang along to the 1960s Beatles hit Baby you can drive my car during the sound check as thousands converged on the site of Paul McCartney's free concert to celebrate Quebec City's 400th anniversary.
Serge Bélisle, of the Quebec City police, said about 200,000 or more spectators were expected.
"It's a North American happening," Bélisle said. "Everything is going well."

McCartney sang Hey Jude, The long and winding road, Honey don't, as well as Wings hits and singalong songs.
As helicopters flew overhead, spectators could hear McCartney say the bass sounded a bit off in the sound-check session.

Traffic was diverted away from the site and extra buses were added.
Many walked to the site while others used bicycles.
Bélisle said only between 80,000 and 100,000 would be able to actually see McCartney. The remainder of the crowd would have to see him on giant TV screens erected on and off site.

BellVu to charge fans to see FREE McCartney gig Quebec

Geez, Paul McCartney's memorable concert taking place on the Plains of Abraham on Sunday July 20th on its digital TV service. Music fans across the country can watch the free Preshow beginning at 8:30pm followed by the show live.
Bell is the only provider to broadcast the show nationally. This concert will be presented on channel (355) for English and (165) in French.

The live show will cost only $ 19.95. (yeah only $19.99? what a joke to charge people!)

For those that did not get the chance to see Macca live will be charged $17.99 repeats & $19.99 to see the gig in high definition on July 25th.

WTF? why are they charging fans money too see a free gig? A&E didn't charge people too see Pauls gig in Moscow? but offered the oppurtunity to purchase, if you so choose. I think it's really crummy that they did not offer to show the broadcast for a number of days for people across Canada, Instead decided to cash in.... Man that is strong armed robbery!

On the Grammy's Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse

On the Grammy's Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse

Hiya, may I be blunt here people? You know I'm gonna be hella pissed if Paul McCartney does not win a Grammy from "Memory Almost Full". Since Paul's people have not bothered to post or update Pauls youtube channel, namely "Only Mama Knows" on youtube, I'm posting
"Ever present past" for Pauls Grammy nods. Do you think Paul is long over due to receive an award from them Grammy's?

Ever Present Past-Paul McCartney

Whats with em Gram's anyways? do they have something against Paul or what? It's been years since he has received such an honor, instead they are giving away Grammy's like candy to BS music based on record sales? OK, I might be wrong a lil there, but this is how I'm feelin it.

Remember when the Grammy's were exciting to watch at one time? (maybe not, lol) It's rumoured that a Beatles tribute is in the works? ( Let us not forget that horrible tribute to the Beatles on American Idol) crossing fingers, hopefully a much more polished effort will be presented, an give the Beatles some loving justice on the musics highest honour night.

Now, will the Beatles be getting some Love and a Grammy reguarding the Beatles Love? Yes, do reread this agian. It would be brillant if Paul & Ringo were honoured at the Grammy's for once, it has been a long time, wishing Paul & Ringo, much luck tonight. Now let me get onto Amy Winehouse.

Let me show some Love for Amy Winehouse

You know, last month or so I was really disappointed in the Grammy nomination offered to Amy Winehouse for that dreadful "Rehab" tune. Yes, I have tried to like it but find this song awfully faulty, if not irratating. I did however listen to Amy Winehouse and her music yesterday with some thought and an opened heart. Man can this girl sing? Hell Yes! What a soulful, smooth, bluesy singer, the girls got voice.

Back to Black BBC sessions Amy Winehouse

This is one of those types of voices that comes around every so often. I listened to
"Back to Black" from the album of the same name and was kinda blown away. Alright, I was with the haunting vocal of "blacckk, Blacccckk" What a brillant voice, this girly is reminiscent of the 40's 50's & 60's Holiday,Vaughn, Etta. The song Back to Black is destined to be a classic.

I'm really diggin the 60's vibe of this tune. Iv'e been sayin for the last few years I had wished this sound would come back, that of the 60's , 70's soul, blues, & funk. I like back to black and all it's metaphors, such a haunting, disturbing, emotional song. Amy does deserve a Grammy for this lil gem. I'm also liken" Love is a loosin game"

I'm hoping on a personal level she kicks the drugs, gains twenty and gets her hair "back to black". No, (I didn't post that as a joke either ) liken the blonde high-light she had tho. This young girl has raw talent, a voice of emtion, one of the BEST female voices I have heard in years.
Hopefully she will check herself, and get tired of all that drag~ wishin Amy some peace.
ta
hb~
psst the Grammy's are on Tonight 8pm on the west coast

Grammy High lights ......

So Amy Winehouse wins "Song of the year" with Rehab ~ uhhh awfull, also "best new artist" that's cool. The shock and look on Amy Winehouse's faces as she stood there waiting from London, after her performance she was stunned she won record of the year that look was priceless! She gave a shot out to her hubby who is incarcerated, nice one Amy~..lol

one other side note 50 cent is better than Kayne West, yep!

Ringo, Yoko, Olivia Harrison, and Barbara Bach were sitting together in the audiance a quick shot of them before the introduction of the Beatles trib. The Tribute to the Beatles was ok, with the Cirque De Soliel doing " A Day in the Life" segment from Beatles Love. Also "Let it be"- from Across The Universe, lead off by a young man who sang it quite beautifully including gospel singers, who were pretty powerful.
However it felt unfinished and I felt the Grammy's could have done better giving tribute to the Greatest band that ever lived..

Ohh very cool beans, George Martin wins Grammy for "Beatles Love" "All you need is love"-(best song, off a sound track ?) Ok, I lost that one lol-

Best performance at the Grammy's so far The Foo Fighters-Pretender who rawked the freakin house including orchestra that was a brillant performance!.

Quote of the night Vince Gil on receiving his Grammy::
" I just had an award given to me by a Beatle? Have you ever had that, Kanye?"

told him Vince, huh? that was a goodin...lol more on Kayne, quoted Bakstage with Herbie Hancock :
"Kanye and I are cool," he said. "I saw him earlier, and I said 'Good luck!' and he said 'I'd love to wish you good luck ... but I don't want you to get album of the year." source billboard

Gee, and Kanye West isn't arrogant? congrats to Herbie Hancoks Grammy win for album of the year, who also gave a awesome performance last night in the battling piano set with? (sorry donot know the guys name he was playing with?) other brillant performances were Tina Turner & Beyonce and of course Amy Winehouse~

Michael Jackson Used to be Bad!

Michael Jackson Used to be Bad!

TMZ reports Michael Jackson cuts Pauls McCartney out of his remake of "The girl is Mine"
also stating to Macca "your dead to me" WTF? I wasn't going to mention a thing on my blog, until, I kept reading it all over the net. I find it irratating to read such words from Michael,
if in fact he actually stated this this crap, as posted by TMZ

Jackson 5- Carol Burnett show Membering when Michael was, Superbad!

Ok So Michael made a a remake of the
"Gargolye is Mine" cuttin Paul out of the song. BFD~ here is my response on TMZ 11.

"Hey Michael? BFD! So what if you cut Macca out of "THE GARGOLYE IS MINE"
Big deal, Remember when you stoled all the BEATLES rights, from right under Paul,
after he asked you not too? Sure you do.

update: Dec31
Does this make it better? Michael Jackson has not stripped Paul McCartney off his record
"The Girl is mine" for the 25th anniversary of Thriller, but has included the original track.

" Yes, will.i.am has recorded new vocals for a remix of 'The Girl Is Mine' minus McCartney but the original version is still going to be on the anniversary album".

Names

Whats in a name ask yourself?

hehehehe I just read something about using your real name for your blogs, well I prefer not too. My nickname IS "Harleyblues" has been for years and people know me by this name. Some people call me "McCartney" and that is rather obvious as to why someone would call me McCartney.
(thanx Paul, lol) Harleyblues, has many meanings for me, as your nicknames might have for you.

My friends call me Christina, but than again this is on a personal level, and if you'd like to be personal well call me Christina than. But please, donnot call me any derogatory names you'll never get a response, that is pleasant. We all like to stand out in a crowd as individuals, so whatever name you have, is cool by me, with the exception of ugly bastiff names in history. You know what names come to mind, feel me? This reminds me of a old TV gingle that goes something like this:

"Ahh, ya doesn't has to call me Johnson! You can call me Ray, or you can call me Jay, or you can call me Johnny or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me RayJay, or you can call me RJ... but ya doesn't hafta call me Johnson"

What's your name-Don & Juan
