Paul McCartney promises a Great Evening this weekend in Liverpool!
From Beatles Unlimted
SIR PAUL McCartney is promising a “great evening” with some surprises when he takes to the stage at Anfield this weekend. The Beatle legend is headlining the Liverpool Sound concert as his gift to Capital of Culture year.
More than 35,000 people will descend on the Liverpool FC stadium on Sunday evening to watch Macca and his band along with city favourites The Zutons and Leeds indie rockers The Kaiser Chiefs. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters is also due to appear alongside the 65-year-old legend and his band.
This weekend’s gig was originally due to have had a waterfront venue, with a plan to drain the water from Salthouse Dock and erect a stage and seating inside.
The idea was abandoned after a feasibility study suggested it would cost millions of pounds to stage.
Speaking about the massive event, which has been in the planning for more than a year, Sir Paul, 65, said: “I think it will be a great evening and I’m ready to party.
“The thing about it was, the concert was talked about last year and there were a lot of exciting ideas like Salthouse Dock.
“But I said to people, make sure you can do this because I’ve had experience of these great ideas – it’s great to talk them, but to pull them off is something else.
“I asked, do you leave this facility for the people of Liverpool? They said it was going to be filled in again, and when the figures came in it was just crazy money.
“We said, we’ve got to do a gig, we ought to do a gig, and they changed the venue to Anfield, and I said well, that’s more practical – you don’t have to build a venue.
“I think it will be a really nice show and a great evening.”
Sunday’s concert at Anfield takes place on the fifth anniversary of his last appearance in Liverpool, when he played to a crowd of 40,000 at the Kings Dock.
Sir Paul, who was knighted by the Queen more than a decade ago, rocked the dock just days before Liverpool was announced as Britain’s European Capital of Culture host for 2008.
Sir Paul said: “I didn’t plan the date being the same, but I think someone might have now when I think about it.
“I’m sure they had options as to what day the show was going to be and someone might have noticed and said let’s do that.”
It will be something of a friends and family weekend, with Sir Paul’s daughter Stella in the city at the same time.
Yoko Ono and George Harrison’s widow Olivia are also expected in Liverpool, where they will attend screenings of All Together Now, the film made about Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles’ show Love, and Concert For George at Fact.
But Sir Paul says it is unlikely fellow Beatle Ringo Starr will join him on stage at the stadium.
He said: “That was never going to be on the cards. He opened the year.”
Macca added: “We’ve got a few little surprises up our sleeve, it will be a bit different from our normal shows.
“Dave Grohl is going to do something with us, so that will be nice.
“That’s it basically. It’s not that long a show. There’s a curfew at this place, but I am doing a full set.
“It will be a mixture of music. The idea will be to give the audience what I think they would want.”
* There are still a handful of tickets available for the concert priced at £55 and £75 (plus booking and transaction fees). Visit www.liverpool08.com. Anyone who cannot make it to Anfield on Sunday can watch televised highlights of the concert on BBC2 at 11pm on the night.

Greetings to you all!
As I write this message to you from my hotel in London, I am watching "the Lost World" on TV.. hilarious.. what a classic!Sorry to have been a bit out of touch, I've been busy writing/recording songs for a new CD [more on that soon] and preparing for this..
Rehearsing with Paul McCartney Ok, so I'm here rehearsing for some upcoming shows with Paul McCartney and band..
The first, in Liverpool for 35,000 at Anfield Stadium and the second, in Kiev in the Ukraine.. this one will be an outdoor show in the Square for over 300,000 people. We're all psyched to be playing together and the rehearsals are going really well. I can't tell you what songs we're playing but I will tell you that there will be some very cool surprises, to be sure.. Paul is in great form.. He looks and sounds better than ever and seems really glad to be rockin' out with the band again.Join my mailing list for details of the show and updates on tour news!!!
I'll be sending you all a newsletter after the Liverpool gig, with lots of fun details from the show and rehearsals with Paul and the band. Join my mailing list to get the news first! Also, if and when we DO announce further tour plans, you could be among the first to hear about it. When we do tour, I send out blogs once a week or so from my perspective from the road.. always something fun to report! We'll be coming back to London to rehearse some more before Kiev, then
I'll stay in London for another 10 days after the Ukraine show to record with my friend, Johnny Hallyday. So, all my friends in London message me, ok?Talk to you very soon,

Woohoo today is my one year bloggin anniversary!

*
*
Yeah!
Wow, has it been a difficult year in the blogging realm, most of it all technical ( you know the kind where you spend countless hours trying too change somethin on your blog with no clue? that would be me.)
Yes, it HAS pissed me off at times.~I hardly receive comments to date, but do have visitors I'm still chuggin along.
I have not been blogging too much the past few weeks. Why? Cuz I was spending 6 hours a day blogging after work than like up to 17 hours on the weekend, per day, just getting lost in what to post next, or attempting to be creative-windows closing for no reason, than having to start blog post from the begginin, techie stuff, (eeeeer) and searchin for videos and crap, but I do like it, Blogging, that is~lol
The best things that I have found from blogging is this-BLOG CATALOG, STUMBLE & THE ANTMAN. The rest I find is bullshit, not all, but most, in my quest to become a better bloger especially the blogs that claim, they can help you it's all a ploy for you to visit their sites that offer meager morsels, claiming the same ol drag, that others claim.
I have met a palm full of righteous, cool peoples while blogging too. so Boots off too them! I still donot get DIGG & DELICIOUS...and I am quite intrigued on how Google is soo successful, also wondering if WE are suckers that use AddSense? We aren't makin bank, Google is-ha!~ So I will quite rambling now, the heat is making my mind wonder!
I just wanted to give-ME a shout out, Holla!!:):)

Hell No I wont Vote For Obama!

Hell no I wont for Obama!
I don't care if he is the democratic nomination for Prez 08. I don't believe him or in him at all, he is all talk and no action. Sure he is great reading em speeches, He has a great speech writer, but where is the substance? What does Obama have to bring to the table? You've seen him ride on the coattails of Hillary in debates, Obama is a follower, not a leader, my honest opinion, no matter how much the "money people" are trying to groom him to run this country. I think it stinks, along with the media playing favoritism towards Obama.
C'mon where did this guy come from, outta no where, to run for President? I never heard from him up till what, 6 months ago? Americans say Oh, OK this is different, we are so desperate for changes in American from this current faulty Administration "lets pick this guy?"
Bullchips, I'm still not buying or believing and believe me, I have a strong sense, a 6th sense of sorts and truly believe this nominee will fuck -up this country even more than what we got going now. I'm not kidding sheesh we might even be better off with another REPUBLICAN. No, I ain't voting for McCain either.
You never forget where you come from and him but apparently with that mess with the Rev. Wright, Obama did just like that, cut the ol Reverend off like that. Let me see how many heads I can step on to the top. No, I had not heard the Revs speech, but I hear it was pretty deep.
I wonder if people are voting for Obama due to the colour of his skin, like Oprah? If this is the case that is really fucking stupid! It's about who can do the job effectively, who can be a true leader, who can fix the economic issues of this country, who can represent in our foreign affairs. who is tough as nails, who has strength of character.
Who will honor this nation and it's people, proudly. NOT, based on ones race or colour? This entire Presidential race reminds me of a house of cards.
No Guts no Glory I'm all the way with Hillary! Lets support Hillary Clinton People!
peace

Clinton and Obama To Record 'Ebony And Ivory' For Charity
Democratic Presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are going to temporarily down swords and record a rendition of Stevie Wonder's and Paul McCartney's classic hit 'Ebony and Ivory' to raise funds for injured US Troops."Who better than to sing this song of racial unity and hope?" said a badly disfigured soldier "I mean - I could be white I could be black - you can't tell anymore - so it means a lot to me."The song will be recorded later next week and it is predicted it will raise millions for the charity.
"It was Elton John's idea" said Hillary as she sipped a martini and combed the hair of an unidentified Asian girl- "I will sing the McCartney lyrics and Barack will sing Wonder's bits - Elton is going to play the piano. I mean it is for a good cause - it will raise an awful lot for our injured troops - once Elton's and my expenses have been deducted."Obama was also optimistic that a lot of money would be raised -
"I think it will show America that despite our objections to the war that Democrats do care about our troops - if we can get these guys fit again and back on the front line then I am sure they will be the first to thank us!"
The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
Now here is Paul & Stevie's rendition~lol

Sign the Seal hunt petition and help to stop the slaughter!
Did you know that in the past two years, 98% of the seals killed in Canada's seal hunt were less than three months old? This year the Canadian government promised a more humane hunt. They said "Canada's seal hunt is humane, sustainable and responsible." But this is far from true.
It's clearly time for the seal hunt to end, permanently.»
Observers on the ground and in the air have already documented instances where animals were shot and clearly left to suffer. They witnessed live seals hooked and dragged across the ice. And in one of the more disturbing moments they watched as a sealer wrote an expletive on the ice while a recently clubbed seal behind him started to move...obviously still alive.
Is this the Canadian government's idea of a more humane hunt? Urge the Canadian Prime Minister and Canadian Ambassador to end the cruelty of the seal hunt.
Sign the petition today.»
