Paul McCartney Rawks "The Joint" with a Rowdy Crowd!
note: this post might contain adult content do not read if you are easily offended
ok so I keep tweaking this post :)

OK, so today was the day to see Macca at The Joint, at The Hard Rock. My friend and I scrambled from the Bellagio to get to The Hard Rock, for a possible early check in. The room wasn't ready yet, so we milled around the HR..I went to the Joint, box office, to pick up a VIP line pass..Ticket pick up would be around 5pm the woman said.. she was very friendly-I appreciated that~I wasn't sure why we couldn't actually pick up the tickets at that point? I suppose the Joint had their reasons.

About and hour later I went up to my room. Which wasn't exactly what I had expected? The room was tore up, ok. Outside the beautiful double window was a building-part of the HR? blocking all forms of Vegas, with the lovely sound of a generator making an awful sound, HA!

Yeah, this looked like the effin "Joint" alright, the one where inmates, play effin handball, I thought? lol Oh no, this is bullchips~

I called down and asked them, if they could possible move me, to another room as I had to meet people downstairs around 4pm. This took two calls, but I was moved to 1160 with a pool view. This was definitely a better room, clean, fresh, nice~
.
Rehab
I opened the sliding door to look down onto the Rehab..with it's pool, bars, sandy beach, palm trees, and DJ- There was a party goin on down there!! 500 plus strong. I was diggin the vibe! an hour later, I heard, that Snoop Dogg was actually down there performing and partying-like only- Snoop does :) I missed fucking, Snoop Dogg, at the Hard Rock?! What the?
.
Waiting in line for hours

Than it was off downstairs, where things looked like total chaos. I went in to pick up the tix, met with a friend to give them their tix. At that point wrist bands that were given out for GA were gone. Security, than said to wait in the VIP line.
Waiting.. Security was changing up the line. Asking for numbers. Some people didn't even have a line pass and we wondered how they got in front of us? At $1500 bucks for a one night stay and 2 tix we should have been the first ones in line. That bit was a tad annoying.
.
Finally, Mr Baker is that you?
So who do I see from the corner of my eye?

Dear Ol Geoff Baker. I had sent Geoff a message the day before asking if he had to the time to make a visit, while I was standing in line. He went outside. I soon followed..
.
Mr. Geoff Baker? you better say hello to Somebody!!~lmao He turned around "Harley!" "Harley!"after a few hugs, some great laughs, a lil chat, a ciggy & a few pics. All was needed, was- a drink in hand.
.
piccie right Geoff Baker & Harleyblues
.
Geoff said "you should have been at Coachella". I'm sorry, I missed it. Told him, I had to work in the AM ( I had to fly back to ca) I am working now, said Geoff. he than had to get back to work. Geoff, escorted me back to "The line" I was very happy too see Geoff, as much as I was about to see, Paul! Geoff said:
.
"It's Good to be Back" what a moment- when Geoff said this. It made me, well-up....
.
Let's get it started
So at 6:30 pm the pack was let in... running toward the stage...
Security, had let a gang load of people in before the doors actually opened. I had to hurry along, as the front was filling, fast.
We were smashed like, fucking sardines, against one another..ha! there was no fucking air conditioning on? or, was I tooo tired to notice?
.
A couple fights almost jumped off- as one egg-head began pushing people around from the front or second rows? security finally had enuff and had to come and babysit- (the guy causing mayhem). The security, I came into contact with, was mostly friendly at the Joint.

2 more hrs until the gig as people around us talked and shifted on the floor. The energy was high!

In the back ground you could finally, hear the faint sounds of McCartney music-The Fireman & Twin Freaks. You could hear Abe, beat on his drum kit.
.
The curtain lifts, and out comes Paul & The Band!!~ Opening with, Drive my car... Paul & The Band looked great!

Note out of the 125 piccies I took 55 did not come out, at all. Hopefully. I will get some pics from Toni & E.
.Some of The high lights were
'Highway", off Electric Arguments. A Brilliant new version of "Something" Wow! "I Got a Feeling", "Paperback Writer"-" Helter Skelter"."Got to Get You Into My Life" "Only Mama Knows" a moving and emotional "Here Today" Included in these were some extended versions of the above-with strong, wailing guitars, showing off the riping, musical prowess of Rusty & Brian..and of course Paul!. I loved the remixes.

Paul & The band were definitely workin it out! LOVED IT! They even kicked in, a lil bit of. Foxy Lady..Coolio! Live & Let Die was explosive-as always.. Which surprised the crowd. as everyone jumped back!! if you were tired this most definitely woke you up..Mark said he felt his "eyebrows almost singed" hehehe It took awhile for the smoke to clear.

Paul was laughing & plugging his ears! silly Paul. Not only did "Macca Rawk The Joint, He Smoked It As Well!". Abe was pounding on em skins with a quickness, brilliant. Wix, had a constant smile on his face. It was great to see Macca & Co. back together~
.
Toni, gave a few of us, signs to hold up which read: "Paul You Are Our Life Long Passion" I could be wrong with the wording? opps. Elsa, gave out pins which read:" Paul sing till we are High Together" with a red heart in it's center. Very sweet E! Had I forgotten "Can't Buy Me Love?" It was freakin brill as well and Liz's fav. "Calico skies" with Wix on the accourdian.:)

"Paul & The band were Rawkin The Joint!"
.
Paul read some of the signs in ths audience. He read- one. "Let's Get the Party Started" Paul and the band seemed to recognized alot of familiar faces in the front rows- of Die-Hard Fans, with all the smiles, winks & pointing.
.
He looked up to the second deck often, as his girlfriend Nancy, was dancing along to the music- I noticed Nancy, wearing silver boots. :)
Those Boots, Nancy, was wearing "kicked" I love Boots!...
At one point during the gig, I almost fell down. It was hot. I wanted to take off my boots. however, I worried about my feet being stepped on. Even Paul & The Band were sweating their asses off. You could see the sweat. did someone give Paul a towel at anytime? lol
.
What?
Some people acted like they had never been to a fucking concert before!?!. Stay your asses home than. Let loose, have fun! I tell you, Their were a bunch of dead beats in the crowd- if you ask me. If people wanna relax, during a gig? sit or stand in the back!
.
Damn, already! Let US Fans Rock it out with Paul and the Band! That's part of the total experience!!!
.
Paul appeared to be having fun and than at times, not..My opinion of course - as if he didn't know what to make of the crowd? Perhaps their brains were too baked, Paul?. from the sun, heat & alcohol consumption.

The Security at The Hard Rock Hotel & The Joint

For me, I'd have to say the security was one of the best I had ever experienced. They weren't, a bunch of assholes- like at most gigs. The ones at the front, near The Joint, entrance, surely didn't understand clearly what was to be done? who was standing where or what?
.
There was a heavy security presence. 97% of them were cool & friendly at the Hard Rock, and The Joint. I really appreciated the fact, most, were not uptight or rude.
Security could've let the VIP line passes in first, than the rest of the crowd. That would've rocked!
.'The set list was the same as Coachella. I have spoken to a lot of people about this gig, at The Joint. Some had major complaints-not about Paul McCartney, but of, The Hard Rock & The Joint. "Things weren't handled well" others "LOVED the gig" said It's one of his best ever! Each Paul McCartney, experience, is different than the time before so they' re all special in my books.
I have experienced many concerts. This one was different. Most fans attending these past gigs had fun from Metal, Hard Rock & Old school- people definitely, knew how to enjoy themselves at all past concerts- I have attended. People in the back had an excellent time from what I have been told. Some would've liked to hear "Venus & Mars/Rock Show"
.
Some Fans believed Paul, "Felt" the crowd better at Coachella to The Joint. I wonder why? :)

What's with the Deadbeats
There was a mix of people there that night. Paul's hard core fans & supporters. The casual fan, more subdued, finally, people who didn't know how to have a fucking good time? or acted like they had never been to a concert, ever?!.
.
Are you kidding? telling people how to act, dance, don't dance, be quiet? pushing, shoving or simply standing there - doing nothing at all? HA! Oh, maybe taking piccies of Paul, that was about it. What the hell?
.
Sorry, I don't sit at a Macca concert. How ya gonna act? Thru all, the deadbeats, heat, crowding, and minimal sleep. I still had a good time. After all, It's Paul McCartney, dammit! Work it out! Rawk it out! Enjoy yourself, It's an experience of a Lifetime!
.
It was great to see some old faces- Elsa, Toni, Sharon & the kids, Audrey, Dawn, finally meeting her after all these years. :) Charles Rosenay of Liverpool productions, the couple from 1000 Oaks, the woman who wore the wedding dress-who had just gotten married the day before, sweet! young girl, and whoever else I bumped into. Great too see you all!
.
Paul and his lovely Hoffner
.
Paul and Rusty mixing it up!
.
Macca!
.
Rusty!!
.
Brian!!~
.
The finale!!!~~

These were some of the best picks that I picked up via my Blackberry. didn't know we could have camera's, dang... Hope to get more from friends!!~Cannot wait until the next gig!!

Hello from Vegas!!

Hey people, I am here in Las Vegas. As my plane was touching down -I was counting the minutes until Paul and the band were to do their set at Coachella, as the plane came upon a complete stop - Macca and the band were just hitting the stage.
I wonder what people thought of Paul McCartney, at Coachella, especially the youngsters? foto right inside the Bellagio what a site!

I just woke up to a beautiful view over looking the strip and the mountains from the Bellagio, stunning!!!
To the right- looking out the bay window is the Eiffel Tower & to the left- 400 ft. heads of Donny & Marie, plastered on the side of the Flamingo hotel. :) The Bellagio is beautiful. The view is to die for.

Last night, I was able to watch Paul McCartney via the net do "Here Today" the magic of the net. Paul's voice sounded a bit horse. Hopefully, Paul's voice will be in top form this coming Sunday,
more later.... I have managed to get 4 hours sleep, so far..
Paul may I make a request?
.
I know it's last minute notice, but how bout Day Time Night Time Suffering? or anything off Ram.
Yeah right, like Paul is reading this and taking requests? lol :)
.
ohhh I am sure hoping that Paul, pulls out songs that he has never played before. I'd love to hear, Ram, ,, in the end anything you play will be freakin awesome! foto right is of Macca at Coachella -Here Today-
I went to Beatles Love at the Mirage
.
What a fantastic show. We happened to get 4th row- so we could see everything! Loved the mega mixes. It was beyond words. Loved the lil shoes, boots, riding the lil bikes..The music, ahhh just beautiful.. video brilliant!! sound quality superb. The performers outstanding! It was like the Beatles were actually there, themselves.
.
The costumes and Beatle's VW's made me
laugh.. including the one that came apart, towards the end...TRIP!
Drive my car, was a megamix-the one posted on my last blog post below. I cannot say which I actually loved the most? It was all good! I would definitely want to see it again! piccie right are of the performers .
.
Some of the music and visual effects that really stood out were. Because, Something, Drive My Car, Octopus's garden, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!, I Want You, She's So Heavy, Helter Skelter, Come Together, Dear Prudence, Cry Baby Cry, Strawberry fields forever, just to name a few.
Bravo! to the cast, crew and all involved in the Beatle's Love production!!!

Never seen Beatles Love? It is a must see-5 star performance!!

Couple of Beatle fans at Beatles Love!
.
Took this lil foto after the Beatles Love performance in the Love Shop. The mother of one of the couple, had gotten married that same day-sweet! A freakin Beatles wedding! I saw them again, the next day, inline, at the Joint. Come to find out- I know the mother:) I wish the bride and groom a happy marriage! Great outfitts! Diggin it!
.
it's a Love Harley!

Oh Man! It's a Beatle's Love, Harley! How freakin cool is that? The other piccie did not come out-damn! It was hard to get a full shot via my blackberry. I loved this chopper so much!~Very cool they actually had this Harley, made. Right On!

After the gig, it was back to the hotel for a nightcap or two..I was so sleep deprived. All worth it tho! I am soo happy- I actually went too see the show. Something I have been wanting to do for almost 3 years now. Freakin brilliant, magical night!

next the gig at the JoinT...

Macca's mad welcome from the paparazzi at Madeo Restaurante

6:30am

I post this cuz, I cannot believe the swarm of foto hounds trying to get a "snap of Paul' coming out of a West Hollywood Restaurant, Madeo.. Notice the guy with the Help album? think he is a fan or what? and what's with the " millions of milkshakes for Paul McCartney" bit? lol See, Paul said 'hello hello' to all you big lugs!~ lmao~

I have watched this a few times, I crack up- to the guys voice- in the back ground. We love you Paul! Sir Paul McCartney! hehehehe Millions of milkshales for Paul McCartney-WTF? lol
I suppose, the paparazzi, can be pretty endearing - when they wanna be? :)

Coachella Q & A with Paul
2:10pm
a lil chat with Coachella

1. Have you spent any time in the Palm Springs area? Does the desert inspire you?

I love the desert intensely but have not spent any time in the Palm Springs area, although we did shoot some pictures for the Venus And Mars album cover in northern California in the desert. The desert I know best is Arizona and I love it. I love being there.

2. Why at this point in your illustrious career, did you decide to perform at a U.S. festival?

Because I was asked and it seemed like a great idea. I like that it’s in the desert, I like that it’s the first festival of the year and everyone I talk to told me it was the coolest festival.

3. Will The Fireman be getting a live outing?

We are hoping to bring The Fireman along and persuade him to do a couple of numbers.

4. How do you feel about playing to a crowd as diverse as the Coachella audience? What do you hope the crowd will walk away with?

Their feet! I like diverse audiences; I kind of get them whether I like it or not – my audience often has a big generational span. The spirit at a festival event is very free and so fits with my way of thinking.

5. Are you planning anything different or special for this performance?

Yeah! We will do a few things we haven’t done before and change some of the songs from our normal set.

6. In 2004 you warmed up to Glastonbury with a European tour, how have you been warming up for Coachella?

By playing for David Lynch’s ‘Change Begins Within’ foundation in NYC.

7. Do you feel in the festival setting that there’s a certain level of camaraderie among the performers?

Yeah I think performers and audience all know it’s a party and we are all part of something special – it’s a coming together of like-minds which is always pretty exciting.

8. What are your expectations from this show?

I expect to have a great evening out and groove with ‘ma people’.

coolio, Paul!! I hope you play to the hardcores especially in Vegas!~ wish I could be there at Coachella......woohooooo! hehehe well you hope they leave with their feet Paul? lmao, Ok, so new music from Electric Arguments-and never performed music-with this current band? or never performed music ever?

Paul McCartney & The band to play this coming friday, April 17th, Coachella festival-it should be wicked

Still reeling off The charity gig in New York, wow!

Hey people. Here it is one week later since attending the charity gig in New York. I am, still, thinking about it, with huge smiles on my face. Anyone reading this there also? It was just amazing!! I hope there will be a dvd for purchase in the future- since it was filmed. I am so happy to have seen, Paul & Ringo, perform together, such a joy, joy a joy joy! :)

work that week
It was rather difficult to work tues.- thurs. from lack of sleep. I barely managed, somehow I did. I must have talked about it, all day, at work, the last several days..I had asked my manager if I could get off work early on thurs. I was trippin on my own two feet. So, what happens when I get home, ready to crash out ?

The cops~
a huge, freakin neon orange sticker on the drivers side of my El Camino-peeled off and pasted
on the window. Dangit, are they freakin serious? a cop stated he was gonna tow my car it stated on the sticker. The tires were marked with white chalk all over them. whew, there goes any bit of sleep. Hum, did this cop even bother to check that my vehicle was registered?

I laughed to myself, for the fact that I have had 2 other major vehicle problems in the last month and a half. It took a good 15 mins to get that unslightly sticker off the window. so I took the car for a spin to the car wash, called the police depart. and left a detailed message, I believed, I was being harrassed. The car isn't abandoned? dangit the end of my message said.. I have two vehicles, My other car is a BMW .. it's funny how the murphy's of law happen at any given notice. :)

I wonder if Paul, or any of the Beatle's, had problems with coppers and their rides? lmao picture that!!

later, a few more piccies from New York-,check this vid below

I just witnessed history two Beatles on stage together once again-Priceless!
note: said post is due to constant updates

I bet, you, want to hear the rest of the story?

Paul, introduces Billy Shears and out comes RINGO! The House went wild!
more tomorrow, I'm running on fumes~ I will post more tonight. when I get home...

Howard Stern, was brilliant, Jerry Seinfeld, had some funny bits. Eddie Vedder & Ben harper freakin awesome with Queens, Under Pressure. Just some of the quick highlights. There was no touching Paul & Ringo!

I leave for the airport shortly....I will post from home..back in California, Eddie Vedder's, voice was on hit. I loved Eddie's set, as was Macca's. I did manage to get a few hours sleep. so kids see ya back in Cali..
Wow, just got home 40 mins ago! whew and am I feelin twisted..lol
8:40pm

The gig!!!~
april 5th

where to begin? Eddie Vedder told a story about, being up for days as a security guard playing music and watching Eraserhead

( a DAVID lYNCH FILM ) over and over again..with no sleep, seeing cougars,(The animal species)_ driving next to him. when he went home at night from work! :)
lol
It's funny, this entire weekend was a whirlwind!~ With no sleep, 15 plus hours in 3 days, a few minor mishaps, running on adrenaline, but so worth it for this charity event. ....

more later, I cannot type. I'm almost comatose :)

More on the Gig David Lynch, Change Begins Within
April 6th

We get to Radio City Music Hall which was only a few minute walk. I am wondering where Dear boy (John) & Nobodytoldme (Luuk) were at? I than met them and their mums. It was soo freakin cool, cuz we were all so freakin excited including their mums, ahhh so sweet. They gave me hugs for getting them tickets for their sons to the gig-which by the way was purely luck.
This made me misty beyond words.

People kept asking me if I had extra tix..I told a few people why not check the box office
' The front of Radio City was buzzing with people.

There was an old hippie standing in front of Radio City holding a framed piccie of The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi-also a small foto of George Harrison. hehehehe ...I had to take a piccie of him. Hopefully I can upload some of them.
.
There also was someone from the DLF filming in the front of Radio City. I told him that Luuk, was from the Netherlands and this was his first time to see Paul McCartney & Ringo ever! I hope he got that on film? heheheh

We finally had to go stand in line around the building which moved with a quickness, (security would not let us take piccies of the Paul McCartney billboard posted of the side -sadly,) than we were in! The inside was absolutely beautiful art decco style, breath taking. I than had to get me a beer than into the mad crowd surrounding the souvenir booth.

I bought three tee's 1 black, 1 blue & 1 purple tee. also the one poster of Paul McCartney "Change Begins Within" I wanted the cool limited edition posters- but it was very pricey at $100 a pop. This same poster was created by the same artist who created the Obama poster & the Sgt. Pepper inspired poster- which I do have...

so, then we were all off- to our seats. I entered the theater, so beautiful, and found my seat in Orches. 2, 15 rows back. off to the right.

The concert began and out comes David Lynch, a true host and gentlemen.
.
There was a great vibe kicking in that very moment- when Mr. Lynch, entered onto the stage.
.
.It began with a video which a can barely recall at this moment. a solo drummer pounding on the drum when each artist was announced- Angelo Badalamenti began playing a haunting version of Twin Peaks, on the piano. Very beautiful- it gave me goose bumps!
..
next Bettye LaVette-wow! can this woman, sing her heart out !! another great performance.

I had never heard of Ms. LaVette, I was extremely impressed with her set, full of soulful blueys emotion. Molby, was next. and sure enuff I cannot remember what Moby sang at all?-oops! I was fooling around with the Blackberry attempting to take piccies. The memory is slowly coming back due to my lack of sleep!
.*
another short vid of meditation for kids in schools than David Lynch introduced Laura Dern. I cannot recall, not a single word, she said that stood out ~ ohhh...

Than came Sheryl Crow with Ben Harper on slide guitar- who did a moving rendition of
"My Sweet Lord" dedicated to George Harrison. The crowd were on their feet singing along to this one. Finally a shot of adrenaline for the crowd to participate, At times, I thought the audience was not sure- whether people should get up and dance and sing along with the performers?
This was great performance-well done Sheryl & Ben..wish I had vids to post of this gig....

I was a bit disappointed that Russell Simmons wasn't actually there as they showed a taped version of his support,of the DLF,and mediation for kids.

Ben Harper was next and played a cool lil set. Than both Eddie Vedder & Ben Harper did a freakin awesome cover of Under Pressure!~ coolio! that was a heart pounding performance, with audience participation of the clapping -bits. :)
intermission time: Radio City Music Hall, is huge and the bathrooms were just as lovely as the rest of the venue..I had to post it, ha! cool mint green, art decco, bathrooms~

There were some very friendly people at this event. People commented, on my hat-Yes,that was me, in the black top hat with the sliver glittery letters-that say Macca on front Member on the back, just in case we said hello in passing.

Some people, wanted my hat..No, it's mine!!~I joked. One older gentlemen said "Are we having fun yet?!" Yes, we are I said..hehehehe. I was very happy to meet some friendly New Yorkers as this was my first time to visit the city. Thank You. I missed most of what Mike Love said as I was coming back from downstairs.
.
The next artist was Donovan. who I couldn't actually believe, I was seeing live?-I told the women next to me..Michelle. He did "Hurdy Gurdy" man-wow! it started out a bit rough. I was especially surprised to hear "Wear your love like heaven" I haven't heard that song, since I what?? 8 years old...Than "Season of the Witch" with Sheryl Crow..

Donovan, spoke of George Harrison, hanging out with him in India, lovely. He had a special guitar man in his honor, (that almost made me cry. I was tearing up.) It was a lovely, robins egg, blue, accoustic guitar, which he played. (The maker of the guitar came out & handed it to Donovan) Paul Horn than played a piece on the flute-called meditation.

Next- out, Howard Stern, Right on! Howard, was so real and genuine on his story about how he was lead by his mother to a local meditation center at the early age of 19 that changed his whole life. 'Who would of thought a guy like me would be into meditation?' said Howard.
.
Howard Stern, stated Meditation saved his mothers life - I was touched deeply.

He had joked:

'You don't have to be a pussy to be into meditation'
Howard Stern, was effin hillarious! props to Howard-I thought he was actually funnier than Jerry Seinfeld. Which came as a bit of a surprise to see Jerry at this event..he had some funny bits.

I loved seeing Howard Stern tho. I couldn't stop laughing when Howard Stern, told his lil stories-brilliant! Howard.

If for some reason I messed up the lineup. Please excuse my error(s)

The audiance was waiting in antiscipation for Paul & Ringo. Said David Lynch, 'Paul McCartney has brought so much happiness into peoples lives.' Mr. Lynch, that is an understatement. hehehe.. I am so happy he did recognize, this fact...

back in a bit.... I will finish this post tomorrow
thanx, for your patience..

I swear people, I will finish later tonight after work...
Now my bberry isn't working. I hope I didn't loose the other foto's....

Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr are you freakin kidding me?!!

The moment we had all been waiting for- anxiously, Ringo! I couldn't believe it. I had never seen Ringo, live as stated before..Than Sheryl Crow introduced RINGO!

The crowd were on their feet.. "it don't come easy" Loved it!!! than "BOY's" I loved it, just as much as the first. Finally "Yellow Submarine" as the audiance chimed into the chorus- While us Beatle fans sang every lyric!! :)
I thought Boys, was the best of the set.The audiance was up and down, standing, than, sitting- than standing again!~like yoyo's hehehe
I thought that was it for Ringo.

than that very uncomfortable Q&A with Laura Dern...oh my!! It took forever for the set change Paul & The band, who were to perform last..

Finally! it was MACCA, who was annouced! The crowd were on their feet as Paul & The band began "Drive my car" you can hear the FANS, singing along to all of Paul's songs..It was as if 'Macca knew' his fans were there to support him and clearly, he was having a Great time..Paul looked fantastic, in Black jacket, white shirt -and what seemed a cool, new hair style..???

I wondered what Paul would bring to this gig? Next was "Jet", "Got to get you into my life"

than to the piano for "Let it be" Paul McCartney's, voice was on hit. He sounded fresh and full of energy. Paul spoke thru-out his set here & there, however, now I cannot remember a word? oh dang, oops how can I forget 'Lady Madonna?'

Next,"Blackbird" "Here Today" ded. to John- than there was some great video clips when the Beatles, had visited India. on the big screen, while Paul was singing .

It made the entire experience all the more moving-seeing all their young faces- with a trip that inspired the Beatle's so much in their music and their lives.. Next, "Band on the Run" people actually sat down when Paul and the began, I looked around c'mon people this is Paul McCartney!

I said to myself'-"Im rawkin it out, with Paul ,and the band from where I am sitting" I was one of the few standing. As Macca, looked my way, I wondered if he had noticed me dancing & singing my ass off?!! perhaps, maybe?

Paul, sang that verse like he has- before:

"And the first one said to the second one there, I hope your having fun!" I was pointing to Paul as he sang that verse.

I was having an effin great time! from my view point Paul & The band looked so happy! Rusty & that hair! right on! Brian shakin it a lil bit-you go Bri. Wix on the "Keys" than Abe! Abe, was back, pounding on the skins..Dang, we have missed Abe! He is so fun!!~ The Band was definately "On hit" one fined tuned instrument, together. I felt so happy to be there!

Next was "Can't buy me Love" at one point Paul asked the fans how they were on the top deck? The fans in the mezzinine sections roared with cheers to Paul!, that was awesome! It reminded me when John Lennon, said at the Concert for the Queen, "Now all you in the cheap seats rattle your jewelry" I heard this in my head as Paul addressed the fans-ooohh I felt misty.
I wondered if Paul, was actually going to bring out Ringo?
And now ladies & gentlemen, Billy Shears!
.
out runs Ringo! singing -With a little help from my friends" with Paul McCartney!! WTF! oh man, Oh man, the roaring from the crowd was huge, out of control, I tell you! You can feel the LOVE for Paul & Ringo!
Myself, I couldn't believe this was actually happening, as a childhood wish was coming to pass. I don't know if it was Paul or Ringo, who messed up a lil bit of the lyrics? I saw Paul, grinning at Ringo, than Ringo with a finger looked as if to say "Lets rap this up!!" heheheh..

The song was finished!!! no!!

The concert was over? Just like that we wanted more as the crowd cheered and clapped, Here they come again and Paul said something to the fact, "You knoew we would come back didn't you? hehhehe...

They started in with "Cosmically Cconscious" that was pretty brill; as Paul asked the crowd to sing-along. Lastly. "Saw her Standing there" wow, Ringo on the drums!! then all artist's, came onto the stage sang Ccosmically Conscious with Paul & The band.

What a brillaint end to a Beautiful Night I was in awe, a bit teary and so happy, I had the opportunity to attend this wonderful Charity benefitt, by the David Lynch- Foundation.
.
Thank you, Mr. Lynch, for hosting such a awe inspiring, happy event, I will never forget this for the rest of my life. I am so happy, to have had the privilege to attend... Cherished memories to last a lifetime!
Thank you Paul & Ringo for performing together!

Woohooo New York, here We come-Time for Macca & Ringo!!

it's 10:30 pm, and has it been a busy week. I am, one of those who pack at the last min. do you? I suppose, I like the excitement of it all-stressin out, wondering exactly what I'm gonna bring? changing my mind always, at the last minute. feeling the excitement, getting to the airport on time.
Last night I couldn't sleep a wink. I was getting too excited. Wondering who will show? What the set list will be? Will Paul & Ringo surprise us fans and gig together?

I've never been to New York, only in passing, JFK, on my way to Europe. I love to travel! Not soo hot on flying the initial leg. My heart pounds and I pray everyone, on board has a safe and comfortable flight. Where is everyone going? Surely, not as an exciting destination as traveling to see Macca live :):)
There are so many fans who travel to see Paul McCartney from all over the world .It is amazing. I do not know of- any other artist who is followed so much as Paul McCartney? My only guess would be, Stones fans. They are pretty loyal as Beatles fans our.

Saturday, I will meet with Luuk, from Holland, The Netherlands, His first time to see Paul McCartney & Ringo-ever! How freakin exciting!! also meeting Mark from Jersey & Dear Boy from ?? ha!

more in the am. I'm dog tired~

Morning people!!!!
7:45am

So, if postings appear to be disjointed, I will have to fix em,when I get back. Hopefully,
some of you will be in New York, to wittness this historical gig. Change Begins Within.

Just ate at a cool place called Astro's however donot have the buckwheat pancakes, they are dry as hell. Now for some sleep-taillights...
heheheheheh ,,

Check this lil posty out~ Lovin it!

NOW

Now then, now then, now then, settle down and strap in because it’s going to get rocky – the Mac is back with the band in town and they’re belting it out better than ever.

You’d have said so too if you’d been downtown in New York City today when the art gallery district got a seismic shake as Paul and the band met up to play for the first time together in more than six months to rehearse for the meditation for schools benefit show here on Saturday night.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and, clearly, makes the voice grow louder. So loud that out in the street beside the aptly-named SIR studios one excited young passer-by stopped passing anywhere to enquire “Is that who it sounds like in there? Is he rehearsing right now? Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!”

The gang of five are off the leash and rocking through a set that will spill thrills without frills when they take the lid off Saturday’s Change Begins Within gig.

And it wasn’t just everyone who was grinning confidence at the sound that loosened the rivets at SIR. Paul himself is clearly chuffed to be back.
“I’ve missed you guys”, he said as he strapped on the Les Paul for an especially-raucous take of Matchbox, “But now it feels like a band again”.

AND THEN

After five hours of thwacking through faves and some singalong surprises, Paul then took time out to chat on camera with David Lynch, the esteemed Hollywood director whose Foundation presents the Radio City gig that will raise funds to get transcendental meditation classes going for one million kids in schools across the States.

“To me it’s like a seed, like an acorn”, said Paul, who learnt his meditation skills straight from the Mararishi, “if you don’t put it in the ground there’s a pretty good chance that you won’t get an oak tree.

“And now the time is right to seed these kind of ideas that were talked about in the Sixties. It’s all very well to talk about it but people don’t need talk, they need results.

“Now the results are there, kids are benefiting, and it is fabulous to now put meditation in the mainstream like this; the fact that you can show that it works, that school kids get good results from learning meditation, that’s the foot in the door”.

Rock and roll on Saturday night when the seeding starts of the changes….

BUT before that – you won’t want to miss the press conference from Radio City tomorrow, which you can watch live online as Paul and Ringo and David Lynch’s other luminary supporters join the Twin Peaks director to reveal more about this pioneering initiative to put meditation in the classroom. We’ll be back…….. nice posty-Geoff was that you?
