Happy Birthday Ringo!!!

So, a very Warm , Happy Birthday Wish to Ringo Starr, filled with Peace & Love Peace & Love!
ahh and broccoli-hehehe. I can't believe he is 70?!. He looks great!!
Sheesh, a friend just sent me a this message; Paul is at Radio City Music Hall with Ringo on stage.. Paul sang Ringo "Birthday"- (freakin coolio!) thanx Luuk!~
.
Memories from last year of RCMH. a gig, I surely will never forget. Paul and Ringo singing together. It was Surreal..fabulous! I hear Yoko was also there...
.
This morning on my way to work birthday wishes came across the airways- via many radio stations. Nice to hear, Ringo, getting the Love on air~ We Love you RINGO!!!!

Ringo's 70th Birthday at Radio City Music Hall- Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr.. piccie credit?

from Joyce below

YES!!!!!!

Paul did indeed show up!! And played "Birthday" with Ringo on drums!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what happened-- When Ringo sang Little help From My Friends he was joined on stage by a large group of guest musicians including Yoko! It was very nice!

Then after "leaving" this same group returned to sing Give Peace a Chance, with Yoko center stage with Ringo.

Then, Ringo's grandsons brought out a cake like a drum kit and Ringo bantered a bit about the cake, "I don't have a knife.." The audience sings Happy Birthday to him.He finally says to the audience.,""Bye, now..That's it...Peace and Love...Good night!" And as he walks off he sings, "Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me.."

Everyone leaves the stage, but after a minute more musicians return. The stage is somewhat dark, but then, a ROAR goes through the theatre and out walks Paul McCartney guitar in hand.
Ringo returns to the drums and they launch into "Birthday": The place goes wild!!!!.

Afterwards, when Ringo came down from the drumkit to greet Paul, Paul hugged him and they embraced.
What a birthday for Ringo!!!

I just witnessed history two Beatles on stage together once again-Priceless!
note: said post is due to constant updates

I bet, you, want to hear the rest of the story?

Paul, introduces Billy Shears and out comes RINGO! The House went wild!
more tomorrow, I'm running on fumes~ I will post more tonight. when I get home...

Howard Stern, was brilliant, Jerry Seinfeld, had some funny bits. Eddie Vedder & Ben harper freakin awesome with Queens, Under Pressure. Just some of the quick highlights. There was no touching Paul & Ringo!

I leave for the airport shortly....I will post from home..back in California, Eddie Vedder's, voice was on hit. I loved Eddie's set, as was Macca's. I did manage to get a few hours sleep. so kids see ya back in Cali..
Wow, just got home 40 mins ago! whew and am I feelin twisted..lol
8:40pm

The gig!!!~
april 5th

where to begin? Eddie Vedder told a story about, being up for days as a security guard playing music and watching Eraserhead

( a DAVID lYNCH FILM ) over and over again..with no sleep, seeing cougars,(The animal species)_ driving next to him. when he went home at night from work! :)
lol
It's funny, this entire weekend was a whirlwind!~ With no sleep, 15 plus hours in 3 days, a few minor mishaps, running on adrenaline, but so worth it for this charity event. ....

more later, I cannot type. I'm almost comatose :)

More on the Gig David Lynch, Change Begins Within
April 6th

We get to Radio City Music Hall which was only a few minute walk. I am wondering where Dear boy (John) & Nobodytoldme (Luuk) were at? I than met them and their mums. It was soo freakin cool, cuz we were all so freakin excited including their mums, ahhh so sweet. They gave me hugs for getting them tickets for their sons to the gig-which by the way was purely luck.
This made me misty beyond words.

People kept asking me if I had extra tix..I told a few people why not check the box office
' The front of Radio City was buzzing with people.

There was an old hippie standing in front of Radio City holding a framed piccie of The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi-also a small foto of George Harrison. hehehehe ...I had to take a piccie of him. Hopefully I can upload some of them.
.
There also was someone from the DLF filming in the front of Radio City. I told him that Luuk, was from the Netherlands and this was his first time to see Paul McCartney & Ringo ever! I hope he got that on film? heheheh

We finally had to go stand in line around the building which moved with a quickness, (security would not let us take piccies of the Paul McCartney billboard posted of the side -sadly,) than we were in! The inside was absolutely beautiful art decco style, breath taking. I than had to get me a beer than into the mad crowd surrounding the souvenir booth.

I bought three tee's 1 black, 1 blue & 1 purple tee. also the one poster of Paul McCartney "Change Begins Within" I wanted the cool limited edition posters- but it was very pricey at $100 a pop. This same poster was created by the same artist who created the Obama poster & the Sgt. Pepper inspired poster- which I do have...

so, then we were all off- to our seats. I entered the theater, so beautiful, and found my seat in Orches. 2, 15 rows back. off to the right.

The concert began and out comes David Lynch, a true host and gentlemen.
.
There was a great vibe kicking in that very moment- when Mr. Lynch, entered onto the stage.
.
.It began with a video which a can barely recall at this moment. a solo drummer pounding on the drum when each artist was announced- Angelo Badalamenti began playing a haunting version of Twin Peaks, on the piano. Very beautiful- it gave me goose bumps!
..
next Bettye LaVette-wow! can this woman, sing her heart out !! another great performance.

I had never heard of Ms. LaVette, I was extremely impressed with her set, full of soulful blueys emotion. Molby, was next. and sure enuff I cannot remember what Moby sang at all?-oops! I was fooling around with the Blackberry attempting to take piccies. The memory is slowly coming back due to my lack of sleep!
.*
another short vid of meditation for kids in schools than David Lynch introduced Laura Dern. I cannot recall, not a single word, she said that stood out ~ ohhh...

Than came Sheryl Crow with Ben Harper on slide guitar- who did a moving rendition of
"My Sweet Lord" dedicated to George Harrison. The crowd were on their feet singing along to this one. Finally a shot of adrenaline for the crowd to participate, At times, I thought the audience was not sure- whether people should get up and dance and sing along with the performers?
This was great performance-well done Sheryl & Ben..wish I had vids to post of this gig....

I was a bit disappointed that Russell Simmons wasn't actually there as they showed a taped version of his support,of the DLF,and mediation for kids.

Ben Harper was next and played a cool lil set. Than both Eddie Vedder & Ben Harper did a freakin awesome cover of Under Pressure!~ coolio! that was a heart pounding performance, with audience participation of the clapping -bits. :)
intermission time: Radio City Music Hall, is huge and the bathrooms were just as lovely as the rest of the venue..I had to post it, ha! cool mint green, art decco, bathrooms~

There were some very friendly people at this event. People commented, on my hat-Yes,that was me, in the black top hat with the sliver glittery letters-that say Macca on front Member on the back, just in case we said hello in passing.

Some people, wanted my hat..No, it's mine!!~I joked. One older gentlemen said "Are we having fun yet?!" Yes, we are I said..hehehehe. I was very happy to meet some friendly New Yorkers as this was my first time to visit the city. Thank You. I missed most of what Mike Love said as I was coming back from downstairs.
.
The next artist was Donovan. who I couldn't actually believe, I was seeing live?-I told the women next to me..Michelle. He did "Hurdy Gurdy" man-wow! it started out a bit rough. I was especially surprised to hear "Wear your love like heaven" I haven't heard that song, since I what?? 8 years old...Than "Season of the Witch" with Sheryl Crow..

Donovan, spoke of George Harrison, hanging out with him in India, lovely. He had a special guitar man in his honor, (that almost made me cry. I was tearing up.) It was a lovely, robins egg, blue, accoustic guitar, which he played. (The maker of the guitar came out & handed it to Donovan) Paul Horn than played a piece on the flute-called meditation.

Next- out, Howard Stern, Right on! Howard, was so real and genuine on his story about how he was lead by his mother to a local meditation center at the early age of 19 that changed his whole life. 'Who would of thought a guy like me would be into meditation?' said Howard.
.
Howard Stern, stated Meditation saved his mothers life - I was touched deeply.

He had joked:

'You don't have to be a pussy to be into meditation'
Howard Stern, was effin hillarious! props to Howard-I thought he was actually funnier than Jerry Seinfeld. Which came as a bit of a surprise to see Jerry at this event..he had some funny bits.

I loved seeing Howard Stern tho. I couldn't stop laughing when Howard Stern, told his lil stories-brilliant! Howard.

If for some reason I messed up the lineup. Please excuse my error(s)

The audiance was waiting in antiscipation for Paul & Ringo. Said David Lynch, 'Paul McCartney has brought so much happiness into peoples lives.' Mr. Lynch, that is an understatement. hehehe.. I am so happy he did recognize, this fact...

back in a bit.... I will finish this post tomorrow
thanx, for your patience..

I swear people, I will finish later tonight after work...
Now my bberry isn't working. I hope I didn't loose the other foto's....

Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr are you freakin kidding me?!!

The moment we had all been waiting for- anxiously, Ringo! I couldn't believe it. I had never seen Ringo, live as stated before..Than Sheryl Crow introduced RINGO!

The crowd were on their feet.. "it don't come easy" Loved it!!! than "BOY's" I loved it, just as much as the first. Finally "Yellow Submarine" as the audiance chimed into the chorus- While us Beatle fans sang every lyric!! :)
I thought Boys, was the best of the set.The audiance was up and down, standing, than, sitting- than standing again!~like yoyo's hehehe
I thought that was it for Ringo.

than that very uncomfortable Q&A with Laura Dern...oh my!! It took forever for the set change Paul & The band, who were to perform last..

Finally! it was MACCA, who was annouced! The crowd were on their feet as Paul & The band began "Drive my car" you can hear the FANS, singing along to all of Paul's songs..It was as if 'Macca knew' his fans were there to support him and clearly, he was having a Great time..Paul looked fantastic, in Black jacket, white shirt -and what seemed a cool, new hair style..???

I wondered what Paul would bring to this gig? Next was "Jet", "Got to get you into my life"

than to the piano for "Let it be" Paul McCartney's, voice was on hit. He sounded fresh and full of energy. Paul spoke thru-out his set here & there, however, now I cannot remember a word? oh dang, oops how can I forget 'Lady Madonna?'

Next,"Blackbird" "Here Today" ded. to John- than there was some great video clips when the Beatles, had visited India. on the big screen, while Paul was singing .

It made the entire experience all the more moving-seeing all their young faces- with a trip that inspired the Beatle's so much in their music and their lives.. Next, "Band on the Run" people actually sat down when Paul and the began, I looked around c'mon people this is Paul McCartney!

I said to myself'-"Im rawkin it out, with Paul ,and the band from where I am sitting" I was one of the few standing. As Macca, looked my way, I wondered if he had noticed me dancing & singing my ass off?!! perhaps, maybe?

Paul, sang that verse like he has- before:

"And the first one said to the second one there, I hope your having fun!" I was pointing to Paul as he sang that verse.

I was having an effin great time! from my view point Paul & The band looked so happy! Rusty & that hair! right on! Brian shakin it a lil bit-you go Bri. Wix on the "Keys" than Abe! Abe, was back, pounding on the skins..Dang, we have missed Abe! He is so fun!!~ The Band was definately "On hit" one fined tuned instrument, together. I felt so happy to be there!

Next was "Can't buy me Love" at one point Paul asked the fans how they were on the top deck? The fans in the mezzinine sections roared with cheers to Paul!, that was awesome! It reminded me when John Lennon, said at the Concert for the Queen, "Now all you in the cheap seats rattle your jewelry" I heard this in my head as Paul addressed the fans-ooohh I felt misty.
I wondered if Paul, was actually going to bring out Ringo?
And now ladies & gentlemen, Billy Shears!
.
out runs Ringo! singing -With a little help from my friends" with Paul McCartney!! WTF! oh man, Oh man, the roaring from the crowd was huge, out of control, I tell you! You can feel the LOVE for Paul & Ringo!
Myself, I couldn't believe this was actually happening, as a childhood wish was coming to pass. I don't know if it was Paul or Ringo, who messed up a lil bit of the lyrics? I saw Paul, grinning at Ringo, than Ringo with a finger looked as if to say "Lets rap this up!!" heheheh..

The song was finished!!! no!!

The concert was over? Just like that we wanted more as the crowd cheered and clapped, Here they come again and Paul said something to the fact, "You knoew we would come back didn't you? hehhehe...

They started in with "Cosmically Cconscious" that was pretty brill; as Paul asked the crowd to sing-along. Lastly. "Saw her Standing there" wow, Ringo on the drums!! then all artist's, came onto the stage sang Ccosmically Conscious with Paul & The band.

What a brillaint end to a Beautiful Night I was in awe, a bit teary and so happy, I had the opportunity to attend this wonderful Charity benefitt, by the David Lynch- Foundation.
.
Thank you, Mr. Lynch, for hosting such a awe inspiring, happy event, I will never forget this for the rest of my life. I am so happy, to have had the privilege to attend... Cherished memories to last a lifetime!
Thank you Paul & Ringo for performing together!
it was truly magical!!

April 4
I have managed to sleep 4 hours, still wanting a cigg and a drink! and I am still crossed eyed..ohhh me... ohh my....oh I will post later if I can ,, if I'm, conscious at all that is. One time, I donot not need meditation... Where am I? who am I? Oh, I'm in mid town Manhattan.
Just ate at a cool place called Astro's however donot have the buckwheat pancakes, they are dry as hell. Now for some sleep-taillights...
heheheheheh ,,

Check this lil posty out~ Lovin it!

NOW

Now then, now then, now then, settle down and strap in because it’s going to get rocky – the Mac is back with the band in town and they’re belting it out better than ever.

You’d have said so too if you’d been downtown in New York City today when the art gallery district got a seismic shake as Paul and the band met up to play for the first time together in more than six months to rehearse for the meditation for schools benefit show here on Saturday night.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and, clearly, makes the voice grow louder. So loud that out in the street beside the aptly-named SIR studios one excited young passer-by stopped passing anywhere to enquire “Is that who it sounds like in there? Is he rehearsing right now? Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!”

The gang of five are off the leash and rocking through a set that will spill thrills without frills when they take the lid off Saturday’s Change Begins Within gig.

And it wasn’t just everyone who was grinning confidence at the sound that loosened the rivets at SIR. Paul himself is clearly chuffed to be back.
“I’ve missed you guys”, he said as he strapped on the Les Paul for an especially-raucous take of Matchbox, “But now it feels like a band again”.

AND THEN

After five hours of thwacking through faves and some singalong surprises, Paul then took time out to chat on camera with David Lynch, the esteemed Hollywood director whose Foundation presents the Radio City gig that will raise funds to get transcendental meditation classes going for one million kids in schools across the States.

“To me it’s like a seed, like an acorn”, said Paul, who learnt his meditation skills straight from the Mararishi, “if you don’t put it in the ground there’s a pretty good chance that you won’t get an oak tree.

“And now the time is right to seed these kind of ideas that were talked about in the Sixties. It’s all very well to talk about it but people don’t need talk, they need results.

“Now the results are there, kids are benefiting, and it is fabulous to now put meditation in the mainstream like this; the fact that you can show that it works, that school kids get good results from learning meditation, that’s the foot in the door”.

Rock and roll on Saturday night when the seeding starts of the changes….

BUT before that – you won’t want to miss the press conference from Radio City tomorrow, which you can watch live online as Paul and Ringo and David Lynch’s other luminary supporters join the Twin Peaks director to reveal more about this pioneering initiative to put meditation in the classroom. To register to watch, go to http://www.davidlynchfoundation.org/
We’ll be back…….. nice posty-Geoff was that you?

The Baggers are Pippin?
What in the world? I hear Bagpipes downstairs-there is a huge parade going on right this moment. This is brilliant!!! lol

5:47pm
On my way to the gig!!! me & Mark in Jersey!!!~ woohoooo!!

You meet the most interesting people with Beatle connections

Like I always say, there is usually not a day, that I donot mention The Beatles, in some form or another. Whether it be at work (damn, I talk about them alot) online, on the phone. or a story or two. The Fab four, are, a source of constant discussion. :)

I met two such persons this past week. One David Andrew from Teignmouth in Devon. David a tall. quiet man with steely blue eyes and brilliant smile. I had mentioned to David and his friend Danny, I was on my way to Ney York, this coming week to attend The David Lynch Charity gig, where Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr will be performing. David mentioned he met the Beatles-well sort of. :)

David & his mates crash Beatles Hotel
It was a fated day in 1967, the Beatles, were in Teignmouth to film the Magical Mystery tour. When David & his mates snuck into the hotel, than gained access to the floor where the Beatles were... staying-ha!
The Beatles, than ran into the kids and said hello, waving to them.

I cannot remember at this moment, what else david had said? I was far too excited to hear about the story. David's grandparents, lived just two doors down from the hotel, seen right.

This photo is of the next morning when the Beatles were leaving....David, was in school and it was sometime around this time David's grandfather walked along from their house
(in photo) were the lads said "Good Morning Sir" as they were getting into their car.

What a brilliant story! I received an email from David today, giving me a link to this foto. He is in Vancouver, Canada. A few years later, David, told me he worked at Harrods in London.

David meets Ringo in Harrods
While working at Harrods, who walks in? Ringo Starr. David said Ringo was rather friendly and an all around nice person. That day David, sold Ringo, A fruit bowl. (no, not a bowl of fruit lol) he said it was a rather nice fruit bowl. Was it crystal David? :)
^
I also asked him, if he had mentioned to Ringo, that day in 1967 in Teignmouth? he said no, well, I had to ask :) What a friendly, English gentleman David was. I was happy to hear his Beatle's stories and glad to have met him. David, currently lives in Vancouver, Canada.

Pat Johnson foto's Yoko Ono
The very next day from meeting David, I formally met Pat Johnson. Pat Johnson, a cool hip, rocker dude with long curly locks of grey with a Rockin - Roll vibe. I thought he was a musician?
^
I also mentioned to Pat & his lovely wife, the Gig, in New York-with Macca, Ringo & Donovan.

Pat's wife, also said she was a Beatles fan too! woohooo, right on! Than Pat, said last year he had photographed Yoko Ono!` No freakin way, I thought?
I mentioned, I finally got Paul's autograph after all these years following him around the world. at the Shark tank of all places. Pat had his lap top, so, I showed him the site here. Poster right, just in case some cannot see it on my side bar...He couldn't believe out of all the millions of people in the world, that I got Paul's' siggy! I couldn't believe he photoed Yoko Ono and a gang load, of amazing artists! Damn! what the?

Pat, than showed me the foto's he took of Yoko, one of them right and another way cool, black and white of her. He asked me what groups I like? I said Zeppelin. Got a foto of them. I noticed Zappa too.
^
Today, I tried to find Pat's webby, here it is. So I went sleuthing to see some of Pat's Piccies-here were some I veiwed over his massive collection:
Frank Zappa, Mick Fleetwood, Elvis Costello, Elton John, Stones, David Bowie, Rick James, Ray Manzerick...On & On and on ...
*
You can guess what Mr. Pat does for a living :)
Geeez, some fantastic fotos, Pat has! See Pat's webby @ Pat Johnson Studios I am still at his webby, looking at all the foto's.
I should send him, this post. foto courtesy Pat Johnson Studios
^
Pat, never had the oppurtunity to fotograph the Beatles themselves. ahhh.~I believe, he also said he met George Harrison, too? I wonder who Pat will photograph- next? Pat, is one cool cat. You never know who you will meet in your daily journey? Well, I am taillights, for now.

Letter from the David Lynch Foundation~

~Welcome to the beta launch of DLF.TV. For months we’ve been tuning our site’s strings and sandpapering its corners. And because you tracked us down, we want you to be in the first expedition exploring the open beta version of DLF.TV.

Inside you’ll find artist profiles, our Foundation at work and David Lynch at play. Of course there’s more, but we don’t want to give too much away. It’s best detecting the textures of DLF.TV’s breezeways, crawlspaces and turrets on your own. So…as David says, “dive in.”

The official launch of our site is April 4th during our LIVE backstage
web cast of Paul McCartney and Friends at Radio City Music Hall. In addition to Sir Paul, this concert features Ringo Starr, Eddie Vedder, Donovan, Sheryl Crow
and surprises.

hb: Man, I would have tripped if they said, "also meet Paul McCartney!!" :)

I'm getting nervous it's almost time to see Paul McCartney & Ringo!

Morning people! I hope you are fine and in, great spirits. It's been two years since I have seen Paul McCartney live. In just two short weeks, I will be, one of those lucky fans who did get a ticket to The Charity gig in New York. I am, tremendously excited! I'm excited to see Paul and Ringo perform together! A first for me, ever. I hope & pray I get that one day off in April so I may see Macca in Vegas too.

Seeing Paul McCartney live is a surreal spiritual experience
The first time I had ever seen Macca live, was in 2002. Reason being, Macca hadn't toured in years since he was with Wings, in the 90's, Berkley being one of his last gigs-in the bay area. There was no Internet-only local radio or your favorite record store that announced such gigs. I was so disappointed, I had no money, no car, but prayed one day, that I would actually see Paul McCartney perform live. Here we are 2009 and I have went to every gig- that I could possibly attend and AFFORD~ lol

Seein Macca live, for me, is such a surreal spiritual experience. The Beatles music touches my heart and my soul-that is actually difficult to form into words. Their music is healing. The Beatles sing about everyday people. I love that! I suppose one of those reasons is, you cannot believe you are actually seeing a former living Beatle, sing such songs, as you heard as a young kid. You say OMG- I LOVE that freakin song!!

I can't believe Macca is singing this one?!!. Such as, 'She's leaving home', 'Helter Skelter', 'She came in thru-the bathroom window'. Or, 'Too Many people', via The Wings era. Paul performing live brings you to tears. You feel the music.

The Beatles, have helped me thru the most unbearable times, such as being homeless, yep! Harleyblues, went thru that bullshit, a few times in fact, and other dark things I care not to comment about at this time. Thos four lads from Liverpool, Paul, John, George, Ringo and the man above, have always been there and have seen me thru- in the Sunny & Dark periods in life. I truly Love, The Beatles & I Love, Paul McCartney.. truly..: :)

"To Paul and Ringo, Thank you for the "Miles of Smiles" love you!"

A vid ded: to Macca, Ringo, & Geoff Baker

We can work it out-another fav from the Fab four- dedicated to Friends!

I am also hoping, I get to see Geoff in New York and give him a hug. It's been 5 years since I have seen him. :):) See kids, never give up on your dreams you never know what might happen?

perhaps... more later? Have a beautiful day~

Ps. YES, I have been messing around with my template all day!~ This one looks best after all- until I can find someone to re design my blog.

Also note: I did tear down the post about Amazon & AT&T it pissed me off to much. I did end up with the Blackberry bold after 2 days & 5 plus hours attempting to buy it-ahhhh

Charity gig Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr David Lynch Foundation ticket Success! Moby thinks Macca & Ringo will play together!
March 9th 10am

note:It's 1:19 pm
Moby's blog

I just read on Moby's blog, He thinks Paul & Ringo WILL be playing together! Kinda like a Beatles reunion he said..wow!

Oh man wouldn't you know it I am home from work with a terrible cold a splitting headache. After yesterdays major disappointment..I thought I would try TM for the Charity tix once again.. Since I was home (I was going to try before work)_ on the phone- what a fluke....Well I got thru on the phone & online.. Can you believe it?!?!! Yes, I did.. two tickets on the floor double letters. Much to my amazement and surprise! I was hoping the tix purchases would go thru. I now have 3 tix. I want to sell my other floor Ticket to a huge fan! but who? ..

On hold with TM
I got one confirmation ..online and than via the phone.. I decided to call Ticketmaster-good thing I did because, the automated service didn't recognize my addy...One guy from TM was kinda rude and told me my address was not valid..he put me on hold for 25 mins. I got a real nice Supervisor from TM, named Elaine..thanx Elaine..We went thru my order with success! I told her about the TM, horror I had years earlier trying to buy tickets for Paul McCartney in Miami-Ticketmaster had cancelled my 2 ticket order.. Yep, I was pissed but went on to see Paul at 3 other venues..

I have never see Ringo Live!!- The only time I have seen Ringo alive-was in LA Amoeba secret gig on Sunset, Hollywood, Ringo one aisle over:) I wanted to shake his hand or give him a hug! lol

Beatle/ McCartney Fans
Yesterday I read. there was a guy, who is visiting New York from Holland this coming April he was so devastated he could not get thru on the phone-he says lack of English trying to buy a ticket yesterday on the pre-sale..
I sent him a message that I would try my hardest to get him a ticket if I was successful today.. He is in school and will he be surprised as hell that I do have a ticket for him~ It's such a great feeling to surprise fans.. as this has happened for me in the past- a surprise ticket to see Paul in Spain..!! I'll never forget that -one of the best gigs ever up front of Macca- in the first row..

more later people .. congrats to those die hard fans who got tickets this is going to be a wicked event! I feel very fortunate to get tickets today...finding a flight is another thing..lol

Just heard from the fan in the Netherlands!...

his name is Luuk-wow is he excited.. me too!! he hasn't seen this blog yet..or the post, I sent him the link..hehehehehe~ he was so nervous at school today wondering if I was able to get tickets! :) Dang, Holland, that is a long way from the United States..

Luuk, has never seen Paul live! now he will see the other artists too... including Ringooo!
woohooo! this rawks so much!! Here is the message from Luuk, from the Nethrlands, he sent to me:

Woooohooooo!!! Harleyblues, there is no way to get my enthusiasm through PM, but I try to express it in smileys I've read your blog! Nice blog! And you were right, it was a really big surprise, and I did jump for joy :)
I still can't believe I'm finally going to see Paul live! I'm gonna see Paul McCartney....in New York....with Ringo!!! I know how hard it was for you to get tickets, appreciated!"

Well I'm am soo Happy I could help a fellow fan out-this almost made me cry-ahhh this made my day~ I have been home with amiserable cold but happened to make someones day something came out good from it, it lifts the spirits-what a fluke.

Charity gig Pre-sale headlining Macca was a Shame..
note: semi long post including 3 vids-see below..

Morning people, were you able to get tickets to this HOT Charity gig in April, from:
The David Lynch Foundation, this morning? many people didn't. Where were all the tickets?

apparently the East Coast got their emails ahead of time-than-the West Coast. All High Level tickets were gone when I phoned in at 8:15 am before, I even got my code. Tickets went on sale at 9am on the east coast. While a few McCartney/Beatle fans were able to secure at least A ticket at the lower end some fans in Europe, got zilch. All tickets are Sold out!

Isn't their a better way for a pre-sale? Tix, are now being offered on Ebay for a mint, Bullchips!
TM, claimed tickets were sold...weeks ago? I don't get that one.. at all..

Some fans, didn't receive their pre-sale pre-codes until after the all tickets had been sold.
I know this is a charity benefit, but c'mon. This is suppose to be a pre-sale..oh my. There seemed to be alot of confusion purchasing tickets & presale codes today.

What is Howard Sterns number lemme call him..lmao like he would take my call... Wonder if Donald Trump will be in attendance? Like the old saying" It's not what you know its who you know" count on that!

more later, I need coffee....

Called Ticketmaster at least I got some friendly folks..
Sun March 7th 1:30pm

Hey people, I have just called TM for the 4th & 5th time today..I received more info regarding tickets. Tomorrow there WILL be a sale of remaining tickets via TM. There is hope t0 attend this gig, don't give up! Geez, I hope FANS get tickets and not those freakin scalpers trying to make a profit! "Instant Karma is gonna get you!"

International fans can also access the Ticketmaster site or by phone at 11am est. time.. I just like to give a shout out to Nelda & Rueben at Ticketmaster who were, very friendly & helpful on my recent calls.. Thanx guys! I have spent hours on the phone, since 8:15am trying to get a ticket-lol

This pre-sale did not offer great seats for fans calling in today- hopefully there will be a better chance tomorrow for people really wanting to attend this historical charity benefitt.

Can you believe it, Paul & Ringo at the same gig? I wonder if they WILL perform together?

How bout some Donavan?.. This is one of my favorites -something different today..

Donavan-Hurdy Gurdy enjoy the vid-

Now some Instant Karma-John Lennon...
seeing John & Yoko lived in New York.. and this is a New York, Charity Gig.. raising money for kids I thought I'd post me some John Lennon. When I think of New York- I think of John & Yoko.:)

You go John!! We all shine on....!!!!

David Lynch Foundation had the best of Intentions
Sun March 7th 4pm

you know, as I was about to post this all my windows closed. Geez.. We have to believe the David Lynch Foundation, in good faith, had the best of intentions on the Pre-sale passcode deal. Most likely they had no way of knowing all the tickets would sell out or that people had not received their pre-sale passwords until, it was to late, for some of us. I say let's blame the net! Yeah! who knows what happened? how many emails were sent out, or how many servers went down or jammed? Too Many-people calling in.

Let's just blame it all on Ticketmaster! :)
kidding-:)

Debbie, one of the event coordinators for the David Lynch Foundation has been very cool, friendly & lovely- answering questions, answering emails. Most likely, they have been hit by 100's if not 1000's of emails asking about this gig?. shouldn't we give them a break & not blame them?
'-it's the Internet people, take a deep breathe and try again tomorrow. I know, I too, was a bit frantic this morning attempting to call in with no code, with some disappointment-however, tomorrow is another day, this is all going for a great cause~

Still, I'd like to be the person(s) buying that $100,000 package! woohooo!!!:):)

I'm out I've been on this all day- calling New York-emails, postings, pms-the struggles of being a Beatles/McCartney/Lennon/Harrison/Starr * FAN!
lmao!

OK, one more video I couldn't resist! Too many People, wanting Charity gig tix, Too many People, calling in jammed in phones lines, Too may people disappointed, Too Many people, pissed..lol Too Many People wanting pre-sale codes!~Too May People, confused :)

Paul McCartney & "My Band" Too May People- Came in thru the Bathrorom Window..

Now, I am taillights~

Better have some BANK if you want to see Paul McCartney & Ringo-David Lynch Foundation..
March 3rd late

So I signed up a month plus- ago curious, about the David Lynch Charity Gig In New York-this coming April, Radio City Music Hall..
.
Headlining: Paul McCartney, Ringo, Donovan, Eddie Vedder, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Moby, Paul Horn, Bettye Lavette, Jim James, and surprise guests. Sounds like a wicked line up right?
I wouldLove to see this!.. I wondered about the cost of TIX? Well, I got my email today..

Ticket prices range from General Admission Tickets for the concert, priced at $79.50, $99.50, $129.50, $229.50, $329.50 and $504.50, will go on sale Monday, March 9 at 11:00 am EST at TicketMaster. expensive right?-.

This is a paltry sum compared to premium packages being offered. Which include, meet and or foto op with Paul McCartney himself. Oh man! What the hell am I thinking- like I could ever afford this. I wish I could! I almost fell outta my chair when I read what the package deals were going for!..
Hey, don't forget to figure in flight & hotel..lol

Ready-sitting in your seat?

What the? The Premium packages!!

"Damyum!!"

Is that all? Well, that leaves me and half of America out~ There goes my chances to meet Paul McCartney -again. Who the hell can pay for such packages- besides the filfthy rich?
Donald Trump, Yoko, Mariah Carey,Diddy, Howard Stern, Barbara Walters, Celebrities, old money?

Those crooks on Wall Street -well they're not all crooks. How bout them CEO's bailed out by the Government?! lmao! AIG Exec's yeah ..them!!..they just got a freakin 30 billion bailout..yesterday..they could afford it!..

I tell you, if you have money, you can enjoy the finer things in life.. such as, meeting living Legend Sir Paul McCartney, backstage if you had a $100,000 grand~to throw down for a charity benefit!

Wish that was me-more tomorrow it's late..

I been thinking about this Gig all day
March 4th

You know, this is a brilliant opportunity to give to a charity benefit-featuring a stellar lineup of musical geniuses..Someone posted in the comments section here, that lunch with Warren Buffet would go for a cool $2 mill. Yes, 2 million-Um?..NO! that is just, mad crazy, there..I'd help the economy by purchasing a home & a new ride if, I had them kind of dollars..hehehe,...

I can't get over the package prices (in this economy?) hehehehe.. If I had that type of money, I would spend it to meet, Paul & Ringo, call 13 die-hard Beatles fans & invite them for a once in a lifetime trip, to New York, all cool perks included. I'm cool like that..hahaha... Oh. it's nice to dream! These packages were made for the high-rollers, not us average working people..

I bet this would be a weekend to remember-surreal.. Lucky bastiff's, with this kinda loot. I mean this, Respectfully!

note: Nelly & Tony in Texas, if you see this blog post email me~

Wow, I gotta go to this gig some way some how!!!

Freakin Lame ass music awards
note: this post has caused me hours of searching time. ha!

Two weeks ago, or there abouts, I happened to catch the World Music Awards 2008. In a nutshell, it was Lame..
The highlights Beyonce, Anastasia-(wow it's been years since I've seen her) Estelle-man that is a catchy lil tune now isn't? always great to see Ringo. Than the guy from Russia who looked like a wigged out Liberace..what the? entertaining if anything I was going to post the link but I'll pass..I laughed my ass off..Madcon's Beggin was pretty good-sorry tho- I have seen better versions..

To make matters worse, Kid Rock was given World's Best Pop Male Artist - World's Best Pop Rock Male Artist awards. UM, say what? Bullchips! I swear these awards are rigged. Kate Ryan from Belgium? cool song high energy techno- had the crappiest dancers you have ever seen in your life.. truly embarrassing not kidding. Take a clue all- music award shows, you could aspire to be as wicked cool &; hot as the BET awards 2008-

BET'S 2008 Awards one of the best ever~

I happened to catch this on the BET channel last sunday and what? this rawked!~ Dunno why I hadn't seen it before, but if you have the chance, watch it. It's a must watch show-alright than? OK, Now, this is what an award show should be like! Ne-Yo gave a great performance and hey, he can dance. he's got lottsa- style a showman.

I must say, there where two more performances that stood out in my mind a week later. T-Pain &; Crew Ludca, Flo Rida', Big Boi and more. This reminded me of Macca's opening Pre-show in 04 Hip-Hop gansta style, well see for yourself below. The video is kinda rough. Than out comes Al Green a tribute of sorts at first.

T-Pain, Flo Rida, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled & Ludacris Performance at theBET Awards 08

Excellent performance above. No, brilliant performance.

Al Green at BET Awards-Oh yeah!
Correction the Rev. Al Green. He had em all going in the audiance. My mouth dropped, as he began into Love & Happiness-um what? Love & Happiness, is in my siggy line in all my emails, hehehehe. I have never seen Al Green, live, anywhere..not even on tv. I stood up, with a big ol smile on my face, clapped at the TV when he finished. Love me some Al Green and Ludacris too...ah!

Love & Happiness-Al Green

And if by some miracle I was hoping, hoping Kanye West, wouldn't step on stage as the camera kept paning in his direction. He than made the freakin comment (on stage) when someone else was accepting an award (not him)-best video, I think it was? ' "I am the King right now'' the King of Rap"... I said out loud 'Oh brother' No Kanye, there is only one King, that is Elvis-get it straight, get it right-Kanye ' "If ya can't Get right? Get Left!". That dude makes me shudder! Why can't he just- get lost?!?

I can also hope the Grammy's aren't freakin white washed in bleach and Lame as the World Music awards were. The Execs of the show need to watch The BET AWARDS SHOW plain & simple.

Sunday Super Oldie Show
Oh and if you are the kind who likes oldies, you should check out Tony Sandoval on 98.1 Kiss FM for the Sunday Super Oldie show..blasts from the past and than some. click here
a must listen to radio program every sunday.
Tony, always, has a brilliant show~

well I'm tailights since I been working on this post all day long-shesssh
