Geoff Baker- finally reveals, Rock Bottom
Geoff Baker- Rock Bottom
Out February 14th 2011- Stay tuned

Oh man, finally, after all these years; Geoff Baker writes   about the music industry - sounds naughty- ha! Bet, haters might think it's about-Paul McCartney -Geoff writes book about the Rock world and it's dark side.~ intriguing..
SEX AND DRUGS AND ROCKIN  n ROLL- I Love it! This ain't your grand mama's book,,,

So what's the book about?

a lonely and loveless fan of a rock star turns to blackmail

Sex and drugs and rock and roll as you've never read about them before - this time the FAN is the heroine in a roller coaster read of what happens when it all goes bottoms up in the music business.

Drawing on 30 years in tabloid journalism and music business PR, Geoff Baker creates a moving, entertaining [and utterly fictional] tale which reveals the damned life inside the celebrity circus - as Rock Bottom pokes holes in the pop culture of our age and gives a grim warning to those who dream of X-Factored fame.

PRESS RELEASE

BAKERBACK WRITER!
BEATLES EX-PR PUBLISHES
RUDE ROCK ‘N WOE BOOK

After a six-year struggle to get it into print, Geoff Baker - former PR to Paul McCartney, The Beatles and Oasis - is finally publishing his rude, racy and irreverent novel about the music industry.

Rock Bottom is Baker’s black-humored but fond satire which pokes a tongue behind the scenes and between the sheets at almost every aspect of the record business.

The first, limited edition of 1,000 copies will be available on Amazon from February 14th, priced £7.99. It will be published by Ragabond Press, a micro publisher that Baker set up with another former journalist, Jill Newton, after the UK’s mainstream publishers refused to touch his book.

Baker says Rock Bottom is ‘a work of complete and utter fiction’. The 400-page paperback romps and ruts through the conjoined stories of a flagging rock star, his demented PR and a blackmailing fan who threatens to ruin the pop idol’s reputation by unmasking a long-hidden sexual secret.

‘The star, Birmingham-born genius Ian Taylor, is not remotely based on anyone I’ve known,’ said Baker, ‘I made him up and he is as fictional as Henry the Horse who dances the waltz.’
Instead of writing about actual people I’ve worked with, it was more interesting for me to create fictional types of that rock world – the musicians, managers, record company execs – and to have a laugh at what fame can do to people and how it can disastrously affect those who work around the famous.

‘But what was of most interest to me was to make the fan the central character of the book; the fans’ feelings are often overlooked in the music game so I made the fan the heroine for a change.

Rock Bottom is basically a celebrity love story, but it’s quite sad in parts – rock ‘n woe, we call it. It is also the flipside of The X-Factor, revealing the madness and misery of making it big, so in some ways it’s a cautionary tale for those who long to see their name in lights.

MORE
The book is also rather rude. We were thinking of having a Parental Advisory sticker on it as the vernacular of the business is certainly not kids’ stuff and as a word search revealed there are 864 f-words in the book those who dislike bad language might be better off reading Trainspotting instead.’

Although Ian Taylor’s genius but mercurial temperament was drawn from Baker’s imagination,
he admits that various journalist characters who play supporting roles in the lurid drama were partly inspired by old pals from his newspaper days on Fleet Street.

I’ll be interested to see if any mates from the hack pack that I used to run with recognize anything of themselves in the book,’ said Baker, 54, ‘A number of them are editors now.’

It has taken Baker more than six years to publish his novel.

‘I wrote the original story in three months, back in 2004. I got a leading literary agent and he enthusiastically sent the manuscript to every major publisher – but none of them would touch it with a bargepole. Four years of rewrites followed, my funds ran out and if it hadn’t been for the support and belief of my wife Amanda throughout it all, I’d be rotting in debtor’s prison.

‘Pissed off but unbowed’, Baker and Newtonan old Lyme Regis school pal  - formed their own micro publishing company, Ragabond Press.

‘Jill and I re-met by chance after having not seen each other for more than 35 years. We talked about the book and realized that as she was trained as an editor and a sub and I was trained as a hack, maybe we could combine our skills for the book’ said Baker.

So between us we took on every aspect of getting a book done – editing, proofing, type-setting, layout, design, photography, distribution, marketing, PR, the lot.’
Now Ragabond Press, which is based in Newton and Baker’s home town of Lyme Regis, has seven self-penned books in production and is considering publishing other writers.

Rock Bottom comes out on Amazon on February 14 and we’re going to take several months to slowly plug it, just like I used to with a rock album,’ said Baker, whose next project is Ragabond Press’s The Beatles Fanthology, the story of the Fab Four told through the memories and stories of Beatles fans.

A Few short days until Macca' kicks off Up Coming Tour

Hey people. Woohoo, just a few more days until, Macca's brand spanking new - Up & Coming Tour.. Now, who, has tix to Arizona & The Hollywood Bowl? I'll be at the Hollywood Bowl. The Terraces seem so far away for the amount of a ticket at $390.00 would be nice to be closer. But wait!! Why is Ticketmaster offering front row tix at - watch this now, $2000.00 a pop? Us fans already got burned on this pre-sale with no tickets available. Now, they wanna lock us out of the front row packages too? $2000 bucks is alot for a front ticket, dinner, and sound check. Damn already, why are they, ( The Promoters ) charging so much? Please, don't tell me it's the location- Hollywood ~Bullchips!
^
Ticketmaster has claimed in the past "the Artist's" have control of ticket prices. Yeah ok, tickets are so much cheaper in Europe..
If I was going to meet Paul, it wouldn't hurt so badly.. Just another example for the haves & have nots'.
Most of the diehard fans, always travel.. more dollars to shell out etc..

Truly, I think it's a bunch of crap for charging and gouging fans of music- for sky high ticket prices & package deals. AGAIN! seem to get higher & higher every year. It also appears to be greed $$ to me, for that all mighty dollar, attempting to take advantage of people- is pure crap. This really pisses me off. In years past, other packages - for music fans included, hotels & other perks for a decent price, a bit on the high side- semi affordable but do-able Give us a break geez~ I always go round and round about this now don't I~ Lucky for those of you who saw the Beatles for $2.50 -$ 5.00 all those years ago..

more later lol
Sat March 27th

Hey people, how are you on this glorious, beautiful day?

whew, I just pulled off a quick one trying to upgrade one of my tickets for the Hollywood Bowl..Still have the one ticket for the 30th in the Terraces-
Picce right David Lynch Charity Gig- New York 2009
I shall be enjoying some cool beverages at that location and taking notes for my blog. Do we need binoculars or what? On the 31st I scored me a POOL ticket expensive but not as much as some brokers wanted. damn!

hassle upgrading Paul McCartney tickets

I ordered the ticket last night. They call me, early morning, EST. leaving a message stating 'something is wrong with my credit card'- huh? yeah, I'm on the fone ASAP. I get on the fone and they wanted me to send them a copy of my drivers license & credit card. Hell no. I'm not doing that- what? Stub - Hub doesn't ask for these details I tell them. I don't have access to a scanner, printer etc at the MO. After much debate they cancel my order than attempted to complete the order for a second time. Success! Your ticket shall be arriving Tuesday. Um, what do you mean Tuesday? Can you not send my ticket today, since I paid the $15.00 express payment, Oh, we don't send tickets out today they told me.

So we will be sending the ticket to your residence..the lil voice, said over the fone

Great, how are people to get their tickets so close to the concert date? Well, you can provide us with another postal address. This was starting to become a WTF moment. Well, I said, let me call the hotel directly and see if the ticket can be shipped to their location. You'll have to email us with an updated delivery address said the girl on the fone..Heavy Sigh.

Look, I said, emails can be lost. Let me call the hotel -than call you back, OK?. Called the Hotel and they had no problem with a package being delivered. Called the Ticket broker back. It took another 20 minutes to get thru. This time around- the girl was much more co-operative. I still had to send an email to her- confirming the address of the hotel, verbally, over the phone, wasn't acceptable... Do you ever get a 'bit stressed' making arrangements to see Macca & Co? :)

more later, Please feel free to add a comment- HA!!

First Show at CitiField

*
*
HarleyBlues is in New York attending the Citi Field shows. She just called in a glowing report of last night's show, the first at the now historic Citi Field.

HarleyBlues reports Paul and his band were really rockin' the stage and the New York fans. There was some rain, but it didn't dampen the spirit of the show.

HarleyBlues exclaimed that "I'm Down" was the one of the best songs of the night, so I found a video on YouTube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCQXji6DK2M

We're thinking that maybe Paul is performing some of the songs The Beatles did back at Shea Stadium.

Special guest Billy Joel was on piano for "I Saw Her Standing There," probably returing the favor since Paul also joined him during his last show at Shea Stadium.

Other highlights from the evening:
Mark remarked that Citi Field must be in the direct path for air traffic bound for JFK airport. So Paul took advantage of the live sound effects to play "Back In The USSR."

"Give Peace A Chance" was dedicated to John Lennon. Paul also brought out the ukelele for "Something," dedicated to George Harrison.

Opening band (from Ireland) "The Script" must have been overwhelmed by the excitement of the evening. Can you imagine the exposure they will get from this tour?

There was spontanious singing at the end of the concert, while fans were waiting for the subway. Video is probably on YouTube somewhere, I'll post it later if I can find it.

This is mikiesoft guest posting for HarleyBlues. Follow Mike on Twitter!

The King of POP Michael Jackson Died today

The King of POP Michael Jackson Died today!
thurs 5:53pm

I was at work today. It was 2:30pm- someone passes me in the hall saying Michael Jackson died. There were rumours last year he had some illness's going on? Well, I had just found out a few hours earlier Farrah Fawcett has passed away from fucking cancer!

Now Michael Jackson?! It's one of those things you hoped he was just ill and would be recovering in the hospital.

No matter how you felt about Michael Jackson- He made brilliant music! Just like the Beatles, the name Michael Jackson, is known around the world. Michael Jackson was an Icon and loved so by many. Half of the world, is asleep, right now, not knowing "The King of Pop" has actually passed away~ we looked it up online while at work. The New York, Times, stated "Michael Jackson was in a coma" to see if it was actually true?

I'm not as shocked as I thought I would be- I just think it tragic, Michael, lived such a hard life as a recluse. The thing that ticked me off about Michael was The Beatle's catalog thing between him and Paul McCartney. I hope, Michael found some kinda peace in recent years. What a sad loss.

A press conference is happening right at this moment in Los Angelos 5:53pm well it was suppose to happen. Brian Oxman, The Jackson Attorney says that Michael was taking too many prescription drugs. Mr. Oxman sounds distraught over the death...rightly so.

Michael Jackson, passed away at 2:26pm at UCLA hospital-from Cardiac arrest. They attempted to resuscitate Michael, for one hour accourding to his brother Jermaine, who now, just gave a "brief" news conference. How sad, very very sad.

Michael Jackson, was scheduled to play London next week July 13th in a come back tour.

6:45pm
Wow! They, MSNBC, just showed the image of Michael Jackson's body being carefully transferred from a helicopter, wrapped in a white sheet, placed onto jurney, into a white panel van on it's way to the corners office. That was surreal! No fanfare, just quietly lead from the helicopter to the Corner's van.

Rest in Peace Michael~

Just a side thought. I remember Raynel- in the morning via 98.1 Kiss FM saying,. last year it was Michael Jackson's 50th birthday around 7:50am as I pulled into work. It seemed kinda shocking, cuz one wouldn't really think Michael Jackson, would ever be this age, a huge 50 a bit of reflection there. She laughed. I laughed too. It made me think of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, now gone. The huge impact these artists have made in our lives and other things~Dang, Michael now 50- again I thought..

I recall seeing The Jacksons in 1978 I believe? a Theater now closed. I was a lil kid. it was a great concert. I was so excited!! We were back stage, after the show, milling around waiting to go into the restuarant to eat. like we always did. Suddenly, here comes the Jackson family being shoo'd to their dressing room's ina hurry- when Michael says 'who's that, who are they?' smiling and pointing. Janet too. I wanted to meet The Jackson's, but they wouldn't let us, of course!!

Surely, I just about had a fit, almost cried. Ok, I probably did cry. lol The biggest band in the world at the time besides the Beatles and I couldn'ty meet em? Just a personal memory of Michael Jackson and the Jackson family.

Wonder what the fans in Europe & Japan are gonna think when the news breaks there?

Paul McCartney pays tribute to Michael Jackson

"It's so sad and shocking. I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever and my memories of our time together will be happy ones.

I send my deepest sympathy to his mother and the whole family and to his countless fans all around the world."

Wonder if Macca, will pay tribute to Michael in his upcoming gigs next month?

June 28th

Feelin Michael Jackson today. Watched the Jackson movie, Now BET awards 09. Oh That Jamie Foxx, is a stone Clown. Great tribute by Jamie on Michael J. They are feelin the Love on BET~

Paul McCartney's writes to President Obama- The OneVoice Movement

Paul McCartney has recently written to President Barack Obama making him aware of an organisation called OneVoice ( hb: wonder if Obama- already knew of the organization?)
Good luck Paul, I applaud you efforts!! Hum, I am wonderin what Paul did say to Obama?

The OneVoice Movement currently has over 650,000 signatories (equally represented by Palestinians and Israelis-) and they work steadfastly towards a two state solution to the Israel/Palestine conflict, endeavoring to ensure that the voice of the moderate majority on both sides is heard and acted upon by their respective leaders.

Earlier this year Paul officially joined OneVoice’s International Board of Advisors.

Let us not forget, the international community has also supplied over 22,000 signatures ..

We Can Work It Out-The Beatles

While performing in Tel Aviv last year, Paul’s message was to bring people together via the power of music..

Paul said:

This seems to me like a great idea, the symbolism of two people from bothsides coming together to spread their message of peace via music is exciting and inspiring for me. I hope President Obama looks into this organisation and feels that OneVoice could be part of a peaceful solution.”

*

You too, can support the two state Peace effort for Israel & Palistine here At Onevoice movement.org

Question is, will President Barrack Obama listen? Will their leaders listen? Can the Middle East ever be at Peace? War is a waste of time precious lives wasted for what? Don't you want your children to be free to live in Peace without fear!? to Live in Freedom!

End the War in Iraq bring The Troops Home!

more later.. I feel a rant coming on..

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Loves the Beatles too
Feb 20th

And who can blame her? Here you thought, you, were the only one influenced by The Beatles? so was the former First lady, lol. Miss Hillary, recently told Fox News, she thought John Lennon and Paul McCartney "were geniuses". And I'm just glad I got to live throught that period," she said. Hb: Yes, they are Hillary :)
.Well, like so many Beatles fans, it depends both on mood and stage of life. I have to confess ... that the hand-clapping mode was what I first was captured by. 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' was an anthem, as you might imagine." Hb: I'll have to agree with Mrs. Clinton on that one- it does depend on your mood & what's happening in your life, to say, what your favorite period or song is at the time? It..does change
The Beatles are the song book of many lives.

Hey Jude is Hillary's Fav~
Clinton named "Hey Jude" as Favorite Foto courtesy AP Beatles song, praising its Biblical tone and seriousness — but she might have trouble heeding some of its "existential" lessons.Hb: Hey Jude, has biblical tones? it was written about John Lennons son Jullian..

Paul McCartney influenced
As the 67th Secretary of state continues her first trip abroad, following Paul McCartney's advice — "Don't carry the world upon your shoulders" — might be a little harder than it sounds.
Hb:Hillary Clinton, is smart as she is clever....heheheh

A Beatles dedication to Hillary Clinton Secretary of State

Reminds ya, of Temporary Secretary.. hehehe..almost posted that one too. Wonder if Macca will catch the lil snippet and respond to Hillary Clintons comments.?.
ps, Hillary,.. I like the new DO, as seen in recent piccies..

Must read article: Twisting the words of Paul McCartney the author gives it straight

Must read article: Twisting the words of Paul McCartney the Author gives it straight
Jonathan Power
11:55pm Thursday late

An excellent article written by the man who interviewed Paul McCartney. The interview was in turn, published in Britain's "Prospect magazine" I haven't read the Prospect article myself however, I did catch a snippet about 'Paul was the more political Beatles not John Lennon'. and posted it in my other blog, I disagreed. Mr Power is correct, quotes, are all over the place. Read below the authors, passionate stance, in correct news reporting, and publishing of news articles. The author sets the record straight-nice. Pay attention news agency's I'd be hot too..hb

Paul McCartney is big news
Whatever Paul McCartney says or does is news, sometimes big news. In September, when he went to give a concert in Israel - making up for the Beatles concert that the Israeli government forbad at the last moment, 43 years ago - he was slashed at by some pro-Palestinian critics for "singing to the enemy".
No matter the "enemy" audience was perhaps 20 percent Arab, that he also used his trip to visit the West Bank not only to see Jesus' birth place but to call in on Edward Said's music school. When he sang he also in his trademark low- key, non-preachy, way pointed his audience in the direction of compromise and healing. One of the prices of the fame he has is to see his honest words and honest thoughts twisted almost out of recognition.

I saw this happen close up last week when my long conversation with McCartney was published in Britain's leading intellectual monthly, Prospect magazine. It was if the press has a mindset about the McCartney-John Lennon relationship that demands that anything he says be squeezed into some previous mold, and if doesn't quite fit then an extra shove is made so that the verbal tentacles are distorted beyond recognition as they are pressed down.

After banner headlines over the misleading story in British newspapers, led by the big circulation, Rupert Murdoch paper, the Sunday Times, the wire service, Associated Press, carried the story around the world, where it was printed in literally hundreds of papers. One report, one identical story, the world is covered with misleading information by editors too uncaring or unmotivated or just plain lazy to make a call to Prospect to ask for the original wording. Not one journalist called me.

"The fact is the interview carries not a word of rivalry with John Lennon. Neither about which Beatle discovered the Vietnam War first, (the main themes of the Sunday Times/AP story). Nor about the allusions the story made to McCartney's (mythical) claim, at Lennon's expense, to have written the best of the Beatles' tunes."

The interview runs to about 5000 words - double that in its uncut form. The discussion on the Vietnam War is perhaps a dozen lines of that. The mention of John Lennon is once - when Paul describes how he returned from a conversation with Bertrand Russell to tell the other three what he had heard from the old philosopher about the evils of the war in Vietnam.

The original interview, the beginning of the Revolution
My interview with Paul originated in the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys over 50 years ago. We were classmates. We played cricket together and I witnessed the first Beatles' concert when he and George Harrison (in the year behind us) played for our class on the last day of school. We yelled like groupies! We have stayed in touch.

I wrote to Paul in May to send him the column I wrote on the newspaper hype about the 40th anniversary of the student rebellion in Paris. I wrote that the "revolution" did not begin in 1968. It began in 1955 when an old black lady, Rosa Parks, in Montgomery, Alabama, sat down in a bus on a seat reserved for white people. She was arrested and out of the shadows stepped a young preacher, Martin Luther King. The rest is history. King's driven nonviolent campaigns resulted in the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Millions of blacks were liberated and enfranchised. The long road out of oppression led to the election of Barack Obama.
What a real revolution that has been! Along the way in 1961 came the Beatles, a liberating force for millions of young people. Also in Britain in the same year Amnesty International was founded - a milestone in the rise of human rights consciousness. To start contemporary history in 1968 is a fatuous mistake.

Paul agreed we talk about this and we decided we would meet and go over our lives and discuss what had affected us though our lifetime and what had tuned us both in at school to fight racism and war. We met twice, once for two hours and once for an hour and talked - about school, the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, right through to the Russian invasion of Georgia. On the way we talked about literature and the impact of FR Leavis, the great Cambridge Shakespearian scholar, on the writing of Eleanor Rigby, and Paul's feelings on the likelihood that his songs will still be sung in 500 years' time.

Paul is a self-effacing, wise, intelligent man. He may grab the spotlight on the stage. But he has no need to twist history. And neither should the press when reporting on him.

Nice article, correction Brilliant article Mr. Power- what a friend you are too Macca, hats off to ya... I have to say myself, this was a a gutsy article..straight talk.... c'mon he calls a spade a spade good for him. Wouldn't you be pissed if someone butchered your words or article?

The smartest thing Kanye West ever said in public

*
*
If you like this post Stumble or Digg it!
The Smartest thing Kayne West ever said in public
Note: yeah, I mispelled Kanye's name-sorry, corrected

Recently, Kanye West was interviewed by MTV, which caught my eye yesterday 'he admires the Beatles' well right on, that is news to me. I swear, I thought he once said, he would be bigger than the Beatles ? perhaps it was my imagination, yeah. In an excerpt below Kayne is quoted, from MTV. as saying:

"That's why whenever bands come out and say, 'This album is better than the Beatles,' it is impossible to make an album better than the Beatles unless you've got 30 years," he explained. "Beatles records — people have known them their whole lives ...
This has got to be the smartest thing, Kayne West have ever said in public, my personal opinion. Right Kanye, nobody can make a better album than the Beatles or be as big, Not even you Kanye, I'm glad we agree!.

I don't know why I Have always thought West to be arrogant, perhaps it was at last years Grammys when I read he felt slighted-than...not giving Herbie Hancock his true props. I'd have to search back on my blog posts for that info. Or perhaps, he believes, he will be the best artist of this decade? That's confidence for ya!-How can you measure that with all the diff music genre's? He believes he is a better rapper, than '50' cent said it himself...Um No! Kanye does have some cool cuts tho I'll give him that.
The interview is rather insightful. A good read-Kanye breaks it down.

Dear Mr President Barack Obama

Dear Mr President Barack Obama

I thought I'd write a post dedicated to President elect, Barack Obama. I wasn't sure what I'd write? I was nervous!

It is no secret I was thoroughly upset Senator Hillary Clinton,. wasn't chosen for the Democratic nomination. I believed Obama was a fraud, and arrogant,. a man with no substance,. I was scurred for this country, if he had been nominated, and became President of the Unites Sates. I had planned to vote for Senator John McCain in defiant response,. but than,. McCain made the fatal mistake of picking Sarah Palin as his VP. Good PR, to get the Hillary vote, but the wrong women for this country, a nightmare of sorts, as I have posted these past few months ...

I said to myself, Christina you better think long and hard about who you want in the White House, as most Americans have been thinking, did we really want change? YES! I began listening to Barack Obama's message and his debates,. and said to myself:

A mental shift a change of heart
"this guy is hella smart, brilliant, he has the wisdom of a spiritual leader, calm and confident he has humour!" ( psst..Obama's got game)

He might not be so bad, after all? it was hitting me day by day, I even prayed on it!
I looked forward to hear from Obama,. as the days turned into weeks.,This man feels like a man, of PEACE!! that rawks!

This first song I'd like to dedicate to Barack Obama is "Try Jah Love"-from Third World., please give it a listen!

Try Jah Love by Third World

Try Jah Love-Third World

Ya know,. I'm really happy for Black America, I'm tired of the crotchety white man,. old school type of thinking and politics. For me this wasn't about colour,. but who would be best suited for the job as Commander in Chief. I'm happy a black man or African American is in the White House, Barack Obama broke the barrier He will bring politics and the Presidency to the 21st century "Good on Ya, Obama"

I'm feeling the shift for this country. There should be no racial divide, but one nation coming together, finally it is happening,. this makes me happy to be an American., I see hope, for the future, for all Americans.

The Speeches
I appreciate John McCain's concession speech it was eloquent, McCain truly a class act. Barack Obama's speech was truly moving speaking of the centurion and life through her eyes, the last 100 plus years, watching the sea of people in awe, via the telly I was very touched. You could feel the LOVE when he walked on stage. I truly hope Barack Obama, kicks ass in The White House, I pray for his success. Yo Bama you go! I am humbled,. and yes,. I did vote for Obama.
PEACE I'm out.

Veggie Paul McCartney is pissed off with McDonalds
11:40am Oct 8th

Well according to Geoff Baker this is false, the Spokeman part. Geoff Baker is not Paul's spokesperson,. it's news to him? read his short statement here via Geoff's blog I'm liken the comment myself posted in the Sun..We miss you Geoff!

8:pm Oct 7th

OK, so I never got that phone call today from Paul or Ringo on my birthday, see post below. I thought of Paul, Ringo and Geoff Baker, I haven't heard from Geoff in ages! it was nice to watch the vid of Geoff & Paul hugging in the beginning of "Long and Winding Road" vid not until 10 mins. ago when I read this from the Sun.

VEGGIE campaigner Sir Paul McCartney has blasted McDonald’s after accusing them of using his picture to flog HAMBURGERS.

Macca, a vegetarian for 30 years, hit the roof after hearing staff at the fast food chain had put up pictures of the Beatles to attract customers.
His portrait appears alongside band mate John Lennon and fellow veggies Ringo Starr and the late George Harrison at a Liverpool branch.

Sir Paul’s spokesman Geoff Baker fumed: “What sort of morons do McDonald’s think Beatles fans are?
“It’s ridiculous and insulting to use images to peddle hamburgers. Fans should boycott McDonald’s — and not just in Liverpool

I had lunch at McDonalds today

What is so ironic after I went to the pharmacy to get my prescription today and almost had my car wiped out by a RV while driving. I went to McDonalds since they have that new Monopoly game out, you cannot win if you donot play right? Anyhow, I was going thru the drive thru where a man asked me if I could spare any change?

"Dude, your asking me for money on my birthday?" the man was surprised, he began to tell me of his plight, he was homeless and jobless. I have been there before, I told the man. I know what it's like not to have money and being homeless several times in my life. it sucks.

I reached in my wallet and gave the man a $1 than made it $2 I was almost in tears., I blessed the man. I went thru the drive-thru and told them at the window., "Please buy the man standing outside asking for money, some lunch, I'll pay." So I bought him what I bought myself. parked the car and walked around the side of the building and gave the man his lunch. He was so grateful he wished me Happy Birthday and gave me a hug. smiles.

It just seems so strange talking about Paul & Geoff and thinking of them after the video. hum? I also think it's quite strange, if not weird, that Mikey D's would post piccies of the Beatles inside a Liverpool McDonald's, don't you?

If it had been a world wide veggie restaurant that everyone on the known universe knew about regardless of what language you speak, now that would be something else.
So perhaps I will heed Geoff's Boycott request. I'm already boycotting them liars called Starbucks and their burnt, over priced coffee. equally coincidental I happened ro go to McDonald's today. Boycott McDonalds ha maybe?

Geoff, if you happen to read this, can you please, tell Macca I missed his birthday call... to me.. just in case he wasn't aware of it? lmao! I had a crappy birthday. The silver lining tho -was buying the man outta work lunch from McDonald's ha! Nice to read you in the news Geoff, hugs.

No they didn't compare Cyrus to the Beatles?

No they didn't compare Cyrus to the Beatles ?

Did Good Morning America actually ask the question if Mylie Cyrus is the next big thing to the Beatles the other day?
Say what? I did a double take when I heard this via TV. Can you say bullchips, are they kiding me? ha, there is no freakin comparison, obviously producders at GMA are tone deaf.

If you do not know who Mylie is (I hadn't either until just recently, they are pimpin promo about this girl all over the place) she is the daughter of Billie Ray Cyrus, a country singer of sorts who appeared on Danicing with the Stars most recently.

The Beatles- a Melody

The only ones that could possible be compared to the Beatles is the Rolling Stones, period. Sheesh Britney Spears had a better voice and stage presence than this girl at this age just keepin it real, you know I'm speaking the truth .

Rolling Stones- Paint it black

If you wanna make comparisons, compare this girlie to someone in the same genere, not the Beatles. The Beatles changed the world, the face of music, lets not forget the musical genius of the fab four just for starters..

Mylie Cyrus is a manufactured bubble gum pop girl. I'm not even going to post a vid of Cyrus just in case you thought I might, but will of The Beatles & The Stones
Let's take it back some.

Yellow Submarine By far one of the best animated movies ever for it's time, duration 1hr 25 mins. An animated movie released in 1968 featuring music of The Beatles at the height of the psychedelic era of the 60's.

Yellow Submarine was a box-office hit, drawing in crowds both for its lush, wildly creative images, and its soundtrack of Beatles songs. If you have never seen Yellow SubMarine, here is your chance, if you donot already own a copy. The original soundtrack album consisted of Beatles tracks and some orchestral pieces by George Martin on the second side:
