In LA for secret gig once again 6/25-27

Hello in LA again awaiting the secret gig!! I was up all night in line freezin!! stay tuned got some good stuff commin up!!!

just walked in the door, tired as all hell, Ringo Starr was there the row over from e got some great piccies from the small gig also there was Jeff Lynn from ELO Alanis M. Olivia Harrison, Barbara Bach will post more later wiped out.

Day 1
well I knew for days that the announcement would be made about Paul's upcoming gig got the email at 4pm from Paul McCartney.com called the shuttle in a made dash, packed a bag, of course I forgot most of my things hehehehe.

I was nervous becuz people were already lining up at the Amoeba record store on sunset.

got on Southwest and off I was too Hollywood again. once there I flagged down a shuttle co. they were impressed that I flew out to see McCartney (well lots of us do it!) the shuttle driver drove like a bat outta hell I was there in no time at Amoeba forget the hotel!

so I was number 93 someone was taking names and giving numbers. I was standing most of the night cold and freezing the guy next to me went to get me a chair the kind you sit at a table with a tall back lamo. I had nothing not a blanket, a tent, sleepin bag not a damn thing and no one offered either to bad for me.

I met this fabby couple Katie and Alex and their bro Joe.

Katie had a knee brace on and was up with me most of the night, yeppers I was up for 28 hours can you say sucked? Well it did! I walked back and fourth during the night as the line grew larger by the hour. The Amoeba staff were great except for one guy, gawd! around 12am I went across the street and walked thru the drive to get coffee YEP WALKED, well they closed early lol. by morning time I couldn't take it no more. I had to find a place to rest my head.

Day2

so here I go trampin down Sunset blvd tryin to find me a hotel success. I found me a seedy lil hotel and went to sleep for 2 1/2 hours I had just gotten up when my phone rang! It was Swaying Daisy my friend from Alabama she said I had to be in line right now they are given away the tickets for your numbers and IF you were not there I'd loose my space well the hotel was only 2 short blocks away so I made a mad dash to get in line. So they began given away the tickets me of course #93.

At one point one of Paul's people came around talkin to some of us I told him that I have seen Paul in 4 countries up to date. He thought we were crazy spending the night on the streets Michael thanx for being so nice! I just lingered for hours there not really havin a place to go I felt stranded actually pissed off. then someone off McCartneys webby asked what I was doin Shannee she said I could hang out with her, wheew what a relief!

Day3
Special gig day!

So here it is Wednesday Shannee and I get ready for the gig and arrive at 10:40am to get in line they wanted us in numbered order as you can expect there were line jumpers and they had to go to the back of the line! well that's what they get Katie, Alex & brother Joe arrived wooohooo! they were next to me Beatlechick was kind enuff to loan me one of her chairs so we sat there waiting, waiting, media was goin thru the line and interviewed Katie & Alex (note the media was mostly at the front of the line forget the 300 plus down the line. lmao.
12:30 they begin to give us our BLUE wrist bands as the line creeped slowly forward! once there we were met by Paul's security and Amoeba staff ID's were looked at and your names crossed off this was all being filmed, Mark Hamilton was in great spirits I wanted a piccie with him I showed him a piccie of me from Liverpool 03 as I usually wear my "Macca hat" and gear "its me" I said, he smiled everyone was in great spirits than back in line we went for 7 plus hours.
There was a huge line also directly across the street, these were people that came Tuesday night hoping to get numbers so they waited to see if there were wristbands left to be had.

finally, at 7:30 pm we began to be escorted into he Record store Man was that feakin excting as we were brought in groups at a time. People cheered as we entered the store it was great! So while we waited patiently with the DJ there was a buzz to the left of me one isle back
RINGO WAS IN DA HOUSE! so was his wife Barbara. Olivia Harrison, Alanis, & Jeff Lynne! Awesome!
we had a feelin that Ringo might come up and play with Paul & The band but this would not be the case. Matchbox rocked the house!~ as did "That was me! " off Paul's new album.
Paul sang "that was me in the band & that was you too"! smiling and pointing to Ringo!.SWEET
Paul dedicated a loving "Here Today" to John Lennon, George Harrsion & Linda McCartney
(man I'm gettin chills just postin this) Paul became emotional had tears in his eyes, his voice quivering I began to cry for Paul as many others did too It was very moving.
It was an awesome set with Back in the USSR, Only Momma knows, Saw here Standing, Get Back, Lady Madonna to name a few.
I was waving my hands frantically to Paul, when he came out trying to get his attention he had such a nice smile, expression on his face like "I know you" "nice to see you" look to him very genuine. Even when I went to take his piccie he just looked in my direction so I could get a shot. Thankyou Paul, it was rough bein on em streets for almsot 3 days but Great to see you and the band once again!
Love you Paul!

Oh you can see me wavin a yellow rolled up sign on this video that's the extent of me makin somethin! lol also Im standing directly behind the girl with brown hair holdin up the sign "Gratitude for Paul" that Toni from Chicago passed out to all the fans!

Paul McCartney Plays Surprise Concert at KOA Campground

Ape Line
The Spoof (satire) - UK
- Paul McCartney surprised hundreds of bleary eye campers at a Glen Watkins KOA in the state of New York recently. As part of Maccas new record deal with HEAR Music, Starbucks has Paul literally "Doing It IN the Road". Said one camper, "Who the hell is he?

I mean I'm here for a NASCAR race. Does he do any country?"McCartney and his back up band played a 20 song set, including many from his new CD Memory Almost Full and of course several classics, such as "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", to which one redneck said, "He better not touch my hand."Starbucks has scheduled some unusual events for Paul, including a concert from the deck of the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls; A Wal-Mart Employees Convention; and most controversial is sure to be one for the Canadian Seal Hunters Association.

"Well the band and I are excited to be venturing out with the new label and I'm sure some of the new faces will turn into new fans.""I'll club the bastard if he comes up here," said one seal hunter, good naturedly, "Of course I'll give him a listen first, then I'll club him. He has cute eyes just like a seal."
Hear Music had no comment on the brewing controversy, the spokesperson would only say, "We stand by our selections and plan to add a concerts in Gaza, Somalia, Pakistan and other areas where Starbucks hopes to expand soon."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.

See your Sunshine for Heather

Saturday 23rd of June 2007
McCartney's Song For Estranged Wife
news post India

Saturday 23rd of June 2007 Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has a love song on his new album dedicated to his estranged wife Heather Mills. The song, 'On See Your Sunshine', was written before their marriage broke up and he sings: 'She makes me feel glad/I want her so bad.' Said McCartney, speaking about his new album 'Memory Almost Full': '

A lot of the album was done before, during and after our separation. I didn't go back and take out any songs to do with her. That one was written during a good time with Heather.'I don't want to deny those times. When you're going through a separation, it's always tempting to put all that behind you, but I don't think that's right.'Mills claimed that McCartney hit her but said she wanted to keep things civil for their daughter. 'I'm not a great grudge-holder. It's just unfortunate it didn't work out.'

harleyblues note:
the song is called "See your Sunshine" not "On see your sunshine" as the New Deli post says. just and fyi

Man this secret gig in LA

The agony of waiting this is what McCartney fans are waiting upon, oh lemme start with a good morning people, it's 7:23am on this lovely staturday as my eyes are trying to foucs perhaps I should slap myself a few times to "Wake up" kiding you know. hehehe.

Any how the stir and the buzz is Paul McCartney is suppose to be playing another secert gig but when when! Last weekend I had mentioned that Audrey Beatlebarb and I took a nice lil jaunt all the way from San Jose to Hollywood, (still no piccies from Aud) waiting anyhow, This is a nail bitter for many and a tease. We donot know where the Sam hell he is playing, damn Paul your such a tease lol.

A local radio station in "LA, ain't to much for the man" appears to be playing lil teasers of a big announcement geeeeez, peoples blood pressures are rising in nervous anticipation as I type. Not me, no nerves here Im just tryin to chill as I have been feelin a bit under the weather I'll bounce back. Did I mention I was soo pissed I could not make it to the New York gig? Thanx to management at work.

I can't ask Paul to change his schedule that's dumb. If I could call Macca it would go somethin like this

"ello,
hey Paul this is Christina-you know Harleyblues
the one with the Black Macca hat
go on
well I wanted to ask you a favor I know you are giving these secret shows for huge fans. a once in a lifetime event. Listen my boss won't let me have the day off do you think you can change your schedule to fit my needs ?
who is your boss, lemme ring em
Paul I do not think that would work, they split our vacation times I told them I cannot ask Paul McCartney to change his secret gig date.
what's wrong with em people didn't you tell em you were trying to see Paul McCartney. are they not flexible are they mad?
hahaha Yes Paul I did tell em, the whole point being, they don't give a shit!
that's really too bad nothin I could do for ya lass, sorry gotta go!
ok, thanx Paul.

this is what has been running thru my head if I was able to talk to Macca myself, bummer well I just keep wishin hopin & praying

McCartneys prank on Oasis gallagher

McCartney's Prank On Gallagher
Jun 22, 2007
Sir Paul McCartney tried to get rock pal Noel Gallagher arrested for shoplifting when he spotted the Oasis star browsing in the same London department store recently.

Songwriter Gallagher was shocked to bump into the rock legend, and grateful security staff didn't take the former Beatle seriously.
He says, "I bumped into Paul in Selfridges. I was in the menswear department and I heard someone say quite loud 'watch him, shoplifter'. I looked round and it was McCartney. I hadn't seen him for a while and we had a chat."

harleyblues take:

I did not realize you were mates with Noel Paul, after that scandalous mention to the media that he believed you should retire & give someone else a chance (paraphrasing here) OH lemme find that dreadful comment Gallagher made. He is a pompous jerk if you ask me. I know your not asking I'm just tellin ya's lol

McCartney Dogs and Roses hummm

Paul McCartney is a hot search on Dogpile right now!Hot Music Searches on Dogpile - http://www.dogpile.com/

harleyblues take:

OK I just got this lil ditty from "dogpile" when I heard of it ummm, lemme see no, wait! well not so long ago (I heard about this engine). I said "Oh this is really fresh, dog pile"?

I suppose it's not to fresh at all. c'mon "DOG PILE" what do you envision roses? not me I get no other visions except for doggy mess!
who in the world thought of such a name? clearly it sticks in your mind-'The vision" I mean. Man I might even dream about this like steppin in some doggy doo doo, I cringe at the thought.

what are they trying to imply anyways who your searching for is shit? well it's part of their name so lets be blunt with it! I'm pretty open about things but that name is just freakin annoying. Why couldn't they have named it "cow pie" or "doggy mess" somethin that doesn't imply your searches "are shit"

just for that I think I'll post the McCartney rose to take away that doggy smell.. hehehe

just thinkin
only the nose, knows.

open for discussion what do you think

A lil Note from Harleyblues to you

~ Hello everyone that is readin me lil ol blog let me give you some info on me. Well I started this blog 5 weeks ago, I have three blogs rolled into one this one. Sir Paul McCartney & The Beatles guest ban Purplemelon,

It was suggested by my friend a webbymistress to start my own blog (mind you I hadn't a clue on what I was doing or what the hell I was getting myself into hehehe.) I have been a member of Paul McCartney's official webby for 6 plus years 23,000 postings later I find myself blogging.

At times I write in cryptic messages , with sarcasm & passion. I do not mean too offend but as you know when your are reading someones postings you cannot hear their voice just the message & the way that the reader (you) interpret it. I work in Oncology, and this is a great stress reliever for me, blogging that is.
I live in the Bay area have so most of my life. Music is my passion, LOVE it!. I have traveled to 4 countries to date to see Paul McCartney in concert, it's so much great fun to see your hero in a different country the people and the way of life there.

I come from a humble back ground yes, I've even been homeless more than once in my life. Music has been my savior I fight for the little guy, everyone has a voice and can make a difference in this world-it has a ripple affect of sorts reach out and touch someone. Working with cancer patients has taught me this: enjoy your life, have fun, take risks, do something you never dreamed of, give to people that are in need from your heart.

Make your dreams come true, appreciate what you have however small. I must say I'm rather glad that Nellie apple suggested that I start a blog the ups and downs of a new blogger and trying to figure it out from the techo stuff to the lingo. I'm just here to have fun hopefully with all you!
enuff about me.. Thankyou for reading and thanx for being here, Oh, and for those that have voted for me for the "Fame it" award thingy, you rock, it's truly appreciated.

Well that's it for now
Have a lovely day

Paul McCartney eyes second deal with Starbucks

MCCARTNEY EYES SECOND DEAL WITH STARBUCKS

SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY is reportedly planning to sign a second record deal with coffee chain Starbucks, because he is thrilled with the sales of his latest album Memory Almost Full. MCCartney caused controversy among his liberal fans when he signed a one-album deal with Starbucks' Hear Music label after 43 years with music giant EMI.

Music industry insiders claim MCCartney refused to sign more than a one-album deal with Hear Music because he was concerned the venture might not work, but after the disc went to number three in the U.S. album charts earlier this month (Jun07), the former Beatle is delighted. An insider tells British newspaper Daily Express, "Paul always had the business brain in The Beatles. Now that the new album is selling well, Paul has finally been convinced to sign a long-term deal with Starbucks and is expected to put pen to papers in the coming weeks. This means Starbucks will be responsible for Paul's albums for many years to come."

Sir Paul McCartney & The Beatles: This "Fame it" award thingy let me be blunt

Sir Paul McCartney & The Beatles: This "Fame it" award thingy let me be blunt

Ted Nugent tells McCartney to get over himself?

Ted Nugent tells McCartney to get over himself

Ted Nugent performs in concert at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater in Pompano Beach, Florida on July 7, 2006.

GMT Ted Nugent - the ex rock and roll superstar of the seventies, is a gun loving, meat eating, red-blooded American. The Nuge has had it with reports of Paul McCartney's roadie meat bans on tour. "I like sizzling meat on the grill. Wild, huh? Anybody? Now, we all know ol' Nuge isn't by any stretch of the imagination a weirdo when it comes to an omnivorous diet. WHAT DO YOU THINK?: opines Nugent in the Waco Tribune. see here

Harleyblues take:
WTF? ok so be it, if your a meat eater or a veggie what gives Nugent the right to tell Paul how to act, if these types of things are written into the contract of pre-employment well don't blame Macca if these fools got the ax. they know what they are in for upon hire. I'm sure they all know Paul is vegetarian and have rules & guidelines to be in his employ..

The Cat scratch fever king can take a hike for all I care

What do you think, do you believe McCartney is in the right to AX employees for eating meat?

More fans Memories from New York

please forgive this really long post. harleyblues asked me if she could post my review. I agreed. Then we discovered that I hadnt done one... so here it is Hrmm… like many of you, I’ve been a Paul McCartney fan all my life. My mother wanted to name me Michelle, but it got relegated to my middle name. My 12 year daughter has been saturated with his music, even before she was born. I saw Paul in concert, once before… in Atlantic City. I got the tickets by chance. For me, it was a once in a lifetime thing; I was sobbing my heart out through the whole show.

I don’t have the fortitude or the opportunity to see Paul for other shows. My life doesn’t allow for me to camp out for tickets, yet I live vicariously through the people who do. When I heard about this Secret show I smiled to myself. I knew it would be an amazing event, and I was wistfully happy for the people who would have the chance to go. I got in my car to drive to work and on the radio I could hear an awful rendition of Maybe I’m Amazed (my apologies to Blessing!). The woman sang passionately, and bravely and was awarded with tickets.

Lucky cow, I thought. Then the DJ said, I have more tickets, you don’t have to sing, just be the 25th caller. I used to have that radio station on speed-dial, but had not added it to my new phone. So I clumsily punched in the station number. I was driving (shhh!) and left off a digit, which connected me to an Asian country. Ha. I tried again to dial the station and got “Circuits are busy. Please try again.

So I did. On the third try I heard a voice calmly say, “Q104, can I help you?” Wow. “Uh, I’m calling in for the free Paul McCartney tickets?” There was a pause. “Oh, ok. You won. You’re the 25th caller.” I think I screamed something akin to “GET OUT OF TOWN!” The next few minutes were a blur as I carefully pulled over and gave him my details. So, I saw Paul for the first time years ago, by chance. And now I had an incredible opportunity to share this with my daughter, for her first concert.

I gave her just enough time to do her homework after school before we high-tailed it in to the City. We picked up our wristbands (www.tugsworld.com/tug/wristband.jpg) in a hotel meeting room and scurried off for a quick dinner. As it got closer to 7 I started to get antsy. Having never experienced a closed event like this gig, I didn’t know what to expect. I rushed my daughter through the last of her meal and dragged her to the Highline.

Posted: 06-15-2007 01:59 PM Post subject: My story....

I will never, ever for the rest of my life, tolerate another bad word about McCartney/Beatles fans. You’ll understand as you read on. Couple of things that you need to know about me before I go on with my NYC story: 1. I rarely ever do these sorts of things. But, Paul is the only one in the world (except my Mom) that I would go thru hell for.

2. I nearly died the last time I saw Macca live. I had a bad asthma attack b/c some jackass wouldn’t stop smoking, and I had to be carried out. Bad, bad time. Having said this, please understand that going to NYC to see Paul meant quite a lot to me. It’s always been a dream of mine to see Paul in a small venue like that in person (not on TV), so to have the chance to... OMG….my hands shook with excitement whenever I thought about it on Tuesday and on Wednesday. Today’s Friday by the way. Lol So, I found out about the NYC show on Tuesday morning—

I don’t check the internet at home (kind of a rule of mine, of sorts) so I was a bit behind on getting the info. The instant I read it, I started making a plan to go down to NYC. Bad thing is that I was three days away from payday and close to broke. So, a friend of mine loaned me some money and I got a bus ticket. By the way, I need to say…I hate the bus. Just plain hate it. I left my house at about 9:15 on Tuesday night. My roommate gave me a ride to the bus station, and I got on a bus and was supposed to be in NYC at 3 am. It didn’t happen that way. Sufficed to say that the trip down was abominable and we were late getting into NYC. I don’t think I’ll ever take the bus again for anything. I’d give you details, but trust me…it was bad. I didn’t get in a nap before I left the house (though I did try…too excited)….and it’s impossible to sleep on a bus, it really is.

So, I’d been awake since about 5:15am Tuesday morning. I was exhausted…but determined. Finally got to NYC a little after 4am on Wednesday. I’d forgotten to get cash for a cab when I was in Boston, so I had to find an ATM. That was a feat. You’d think there would be one right there in Port Authority. Well, actually there is….but it was on the other side of a locked gate…the Port was closed at that time in the morning. So you could only go in and out of it, nothing else. Got a cab and I got in line somewhere around 4:15 or 4:30. Not sure quite when it was because I was completely exhausted. When I got in line, the guy in front of me handed me a list to sign. I was number 44.

So, I thought WOO HOO! I’m sure to get a wristband! Yeah, right. Then I found out what happened on Tuesday. There were so many different stories told about what happened on Tuesday that I honestly stopped listening to them. Here’s what happened: PaulMcCartney.com made the announcement about the show on Monday night. Now, whether or not that was a day earlier than planned (as had been suggested) I don’t know. The announcement said that wristbands would be given out on Wednesday at 12:30. And, as I said…I didn’t check anything from home before I left. Big mistake. Anyway, people started lining up as early as Monday night. And, the venue didn’t like that at all. So, Tuesday evening—somewhere around 4—they gave all of the people in line a ticket.

This ticket guaranteed them a wristband, which they got on Wednesday at 12:30. There were 120 of these given away. And, only a total of 150 wristbands were supposed to be given out. People claimed that the total number wasn’t known at the time, but I don’t believe that. I’ll suppress my feelings on this matter because I know there’ll be people who’ll argue with me.
harleyblues note:
the link above tells the rest of the story & how Mark Hamilton got her a wrist band after they had all been given away!! so happy for KJ getting in to see Paul!

So this will be my coolest post ever!!!!!!!! So I didn't get to go to the show. Nor did my girlfriend get to go.. BUT....BUT... My girlfriend's friend called her and said he couldn't hang out tonight because he had to work. She asked what he was doing and he said he was going to the after show party for Paul McCartney!!!!! It was a private event also! She asked if she could get in and he said he would call her or text her if she could. I told her to get her butt down there and to bring a camera and something to have signed. She didn't want to go unless she could get in. After more convincing, she decided to shower and head out.
She got there and was waiting by herself at the back door listening to the door guy and the police. Her friend still had not contacted her... So then she calls and says that another friend got her into the club! Then she texted me and said that the band just arrived! Then she called freaking out and blurted out I JUST STOOD SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH A FREAKING BEATLE!!!!! She didn't say anything because he had just arrived. Then I told her to call me later and have her phone ready and see if he would say hi to me all the way in Kansas City. She said she would try. Then she called me back and said that she was standing at the bar and asked the bartender to introduce her to Paul since Paul had spoken to the bartender. Then Paul turned around and introduced himself to her! and then said nice to meet you and have a great night. She told him happy birthday from me and he said to tell me thanks for remembering it! He then started to walk away then turned and said hey enjoy the rest of the night and come see me again soon in concert, I'll be in LA soon!

Then he went back to the other VIP room and she finally made her way to that room then promptly got kicked out because they said Paul was leaving. She was standing again by the bar and he walked past her and stopped then turned back put his hand on her shoulder and turned her around to him and said hey Katie nice to meet you I've got to go but have a great night! Then he left! I'm so excited for her and kicking myself for not going to NY. But if I was there it would have been harder to get us both in. I'm jealous for sure but way excited. She has hung out with a lot of famous people but this time she said that her legs were shaking and she was more nervous then ever before. She couldn't believe how nervous she was! She didn't get a picture or a autograph or make a call to me but she did meet him and talked to him twice.

She said he was very polite and very nice to everyone there and seemed very relaxed until the club got really packed. She was told that it was going to be about 150ppl but she said it had to be closer to 200 when he left and that is why he left... Oh well but i'm so excited right now! Phew she is even more awesome now! It's so great! Oh yeah I took out everyone's name and the job that her friend does to make sure they don't get in trouble... Man this is so cool. She said she totally owes me for making her go down and stand around for 45 minutes! I think that I don't owe her anything anymore.

Paz writes:

I was soon told to run to the box office as tickets were being handed out already! I could not believe my luck! Inside I was disappointed to learn that only 50 tickets had been handed out and that management was handing out no more. The situation seemed haphazard at best; no one really was sure why no more would be handed out, only that I should return the next day for
my wristband. I asked why some had been handed out and the friendly guy at the box office said something about the police wanting to clear the sidewalk of waiting fans. [/quote] A line started on Monday night, but cops in the area told the small line to either disperse or get arrested, they didn't want people on the street linin up.

So Tuesday morning at 5:30am we started to line up again, and the line grew to about 50 by mid-afternoon. We were all set to sleep overnight, but the weather was torrential at times. One guy from Highline let us run into the hallway during one downpour but then the mgr of the club said sorry but we had to leave because the group that was playing Tuesday night was bringing in their equipt at that time and they needed hallway cleared. People from the apartment bldg. were not too pleased we were camped out there all day and so when the toorential rains came again in the late afternoon, mgrmnt from Highline came out and said, they would be giving us each a ticket which we could exchange for a wristband the next day, so we wouldn't have to sleep overnight outside. They didn't want to have to deal with us being out there along with the line of fans and regular club goers for the show they would have Tuesday night. Plus the residents complaining. We had to show a photo id and have our name put on a club listing before we got the ticket.
*Tugs wrist Band 6/13*

The ticket was NOT a guarantee for a wristband if we were not there before 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. But if you were there before then, you would get a wristband. So we were glad we could go home and sleep after getting up a 4am Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning, they had two lines formed, one for those of us who were there on Tuesday morning and got the tkt to trade for wristband, and another line for those who lined up from Wednesday (3am, onwards). The radio contest winners were behind the Wednesday line. One girl on the tkt trade in line got the call from pm.com about being one of the winners on this site! Cool! We also found out that

LITE FM 106.7 NYC also ran a trivia contest all week, and one guy on the line literally won the last passes just a couple hours before the show! At 12:30 club mgmnt came out and gave us tkt exchange liners, each a number (they used coatcheck tkts for this) and this was the number we would be to go into the club at showtime. After we got the wristband and gave in our tkt from the day before, we were then able to leave and come back around 6 to line up in number order. The other line of people got their wristbands after the tkt exchange line was done. One bad thing that happend on Wednesday afternoon before the 12:30 wristband give outs.

One of the residents of the apartment bldg the lines were formed in front of, hurled a full plastic half gallon container of sour milk down on to the line and it hit some fans and splattered them with the milk. Anothr fan also said that bb's were shot from the apartment bldg also at the line. The police were called and they asked fans what had happened and then went in to talk to the apart. bldg's mgmnt. They also stationed a police car for an hour next to the line to keep an eye. Unblelievable what some people do. That thing could have seriously hurt someone if it hit directly on someone's head. And it stunk because of it being sour. Some fans bought Febreeze from supermart next to Highline to spray to get rid of the smell.

When Paul arrived and parts of the street were blocked off, some residents complained they couldn't get into the supermarket because of it. But they allowed only the shoppers to go through barriers to go into the store. One woman asked what was going on and when told she quipped: The rich get richer and we poor get poorer. Guess not a Paul fan.....ya think?!

First hand accounts of Tonights "Secert Gig" in New York

Coming up first hand accounts of Pauls private Secert gig in New York 6/13

"There was no railing. We were flush with the stage. A real club gig. The most intimate venue ever. I'm realizing now that that will never happen to me (or us) again probably. Paul rocked the roof off that place. HOUSE OF WAX killed!! AMAZING. Ok, need to collect my thoughts. One great thing though is that he played the full song of "babyface" I've never heard him do that. He said, "what's going on here, i'm giddy, i must be tripping" then launched into a fun ass version of

baby face, and sang with all his heart. Paul was more personal and intimate than i have ever seen him before. He was outright giddy, he even said, "i need to calm down here" usually he plays baby face and stops a few seconds in before hey jude, but when he played the full version then played hey jude...the crowd went crazy.... oh also there was a crazy jam at the end of i've got a feeling...where paul absolutely shredded on the guitar. WOW, he was really showing off. f**k man this was the best show i've ever seen Crazy"!!!!!

Just got back with my son from what had to be the best McCartney experience of my life. Front row center...right under Pauls' mic!!! The set list was the same as London except,he added the full version of "BabyFace" before HeyJude, and he did a sort of jam of "I've Got A Feeling" after the regular version. That's all for now...I'm exhausted. Thanks for everytrhing, Paul (and the band)! ...and the 2nd if you like... One word to describe the experience of last nights show...UNBELIEVABLE! My son and I spent Tuesday and Wednesday outside the Highline waiting to get bracelets for Pauls "historic" New York gig...with some of the greatest Beatle fans I've ever met. We were rewarded with front row center....right under Pauls mic!!! To experience a show such as this with your son who is just as much a Beatle fan was icing on the cake.

The show was absolutely fantastic, as so many of us described earlier...with the new songs from MAF sounding even better than the studio version. Both of us were thrilled to get hand slaps from Paul as he greeted fans in front of the stage. My son, who talked with drummer Abe throughout the show personally got one of the 2 drumsticks that he gave to the crowd...not to mention his rose! I've seen Paul play in America on every tour since 1976, but the show yesterday was an experience that I don't think can ever be topped. It was perfect, and I'm so happy I was able to share it with my son. Thanks, Paul (and the band) for a beautiful night...and also a big thanks to Mark Hamilton for taking care of the real fans!

:I was a lucky radio contest winner from NY. This is the 4th time I’ve seen Paul in concert, plus Ecce in Carnegie Hall, where I stood next to him while we applauded. This concert, though, was by far the most incredible experience! After getting our wristbands, and the wait outside and inside, I was lucky enough to get a spot in the 4th row of people hugging the stage. This was actually much closer than the 1st row at a large venue. There was no gap at all between the 1st row and the stage. This is what I always dreamed about! I got all my emotions (crying) out before the show, so that I could really zone in on the whole experience. I kept telling myself to take it all in. At the other Paul concerts, one in 2002, and two in 2005, I yearned to be closer to the stage and feel more of the excitement and the interaction. This time that happened. Paul was singing great and he seemed to be enjoying himself as much as everyone who came to see him. He couldn’t have given us any more than he did. His energy was relentless. Being at this concert seemed so natural – like I was going to a concert given by my friend, Paul. When Paul did his introduction

to “Nod Your Head,” I took out made my sign of Paul’s head and started nodding it with my hand. He noticed it right away and said, “That’s it!” Paul talked to me!!!!! And, at the end of “Get Back,” he looked right at me when he said “Do you want to get back?” I said “yes”, and shook my head, and he sang right to me. These were always the experiences in my dreams, but now they are real!!!! I know that Paul will never remember me, but I don’t care because I will always remember him, and how we interacted for some brief seconds. This will always be a part of me.
